Jana, muffins sound good for breakfast. Glad Mr. G has a routine to follow. It when the routine gets disrupted that the problems occur. I bet you are so glad to be getting close to having your new teeth.
Judi, hope all turns out well for Ken. Any little thing and Bill thinks he's dying. have fun at the wedding. I know you'll enjoy spending time with the kids.
Maryq, happy birthday to Kevin. Hope you get to have lunch and enjoy his company. Enjoy your nice weather. Winter is coming.
Maryz, sometime just helping others with their project is more fun. Glad they figured out what was wrong with Gene. Is it something that's treatable? Those ham and cheese sliders sound yummy. Funny that Amara thinks she should get a present everyday. Hope the tree removal is uneventful.
Lyn, I'm so glad you weren't on the road when this happened. Hopefully Gary will get the rehab he needs and be back home with you soon. Insurance is a pain to figure out.
Diane, we are supposed to get a lot of rain on Saturday. We'll see. They say that and then we get a sprinkle. It is raining today, but not bad.
Chriss, how are you? What have you been up to?
Valerie, how was the drive home? I bet you are happy to be home again.
This stupid cold is just hanging on. I sure hope it goes away soon. I need to run the vacuum today and maybe dust a bit. Then I might work on making my coat. We'll see how the day goes. Prayers for those in need. Dinner will be steaks on the grill with baked potatoes. I might make some cookies today as well.
Have a lovely day.

And I'm back! The tree is down, pictures are posted if you care to see. The power is back on, and life is good. Lee and Lara will be able to pull their fiver back up to its parking spot soon. Their kitty, Elsa, is a little freaked. She is skittish anyway, but she had to go into her carrier, then into the truck where she's been for the last 4-1/2 hours. All the trucks and machinery are spooking her. Lara has been sitting in the truck with her all this time to keep her calm, working on Christmas cards. It's been pouring rain all day long. The crew is going to do enough to clear the roadway so Lee can get his truck back to pull his trailer forward and get set up again and then the crew is going to leave and come back this weekend to finish cleaning up the branches and bucking up the tree so we can split the rounds for firewood. That is a big chore and it won't be happening any time soon!
I was trying to work on my CW's in the semi-light while the power was off. It's a gloomy day so not a lot of daylight coming through windows. Once the power was back, I made a big pot of fresh hot coffee and took it and tray of goodies out to everyone. Now I might go sew on my table runner for a while.
LOIS - I'm so sorry Mary is being a bad girl! She's the same Mary as in the full sized quilt? Can I help? I've done the big one.
I see we've been talking about two different Nativity wall hangings - Lois's is different than the Nativity that MSQC's Misty demonstrated on U-tube.
Now I'm going to go put my spaghetti sauce in the crockpot and then go sew.
hugs!

Re: Friday November 14th, 2025
Good afternoon. It was a wet and beautiful day today.
Cardio rehab in the morning. Then a stop at Costco. Dad called while I was there, seems his blood pressure was 200/something. I was pretty worried. When I got to their house dad was shaking and his bp was still up. We called the ambulance. He took his bp meds and it started to come down but was in the very high 190's. I was sure he had a stroke, but he passed all the EMT's tests. He's in the 150's now and sounds wonderful. I just got off the phone with him and am happy with how he sounded. I took him some pot roast for tonight's dinner and will make something for his dinner from here on out.
A friend of mine has Alzheimer's and was part of a trial where she received Kinsula in an IV for so many weeks. It wasn't supposed to cure the Alz but stop it in it's tracks. She just had a MRI and all the plaques have disappeared. Now she will start taking another drug that helps the brain. I'm just so happy for her. Her short term memory is still not doing well but this other drug is supposed to help with that.
Judi, prayers said for Ken. Hope he survives this episode of his life.
Lyn, I have Covered California. Because of my income I don't pay a monthly premium but have a 3,000 max out of pocket. 3k was nothing compared to the cost of my surgery. Just the hospital part was quoted at over a million. Prayers for Garry, sure hope things are looking better for him.
Maryz, I was looking on Amazon and found baby snacks made by Amara. Kind of cool that you got to spoil that kid. Personally I think her advent calendar should have 364 days to count down to Christmas.
Maryq, have you opened that sink box yet? It's really pretty and shiny. I'm excited for you to get your new kitchen. Dad probably won't be here for a bit. But the materials needed are in my garage and we have a plan. How long were your windows open today, it rained here all morning
Lori, did you get to making that coat? I'm really wanting to try it but haven't even felt like sewing for quite a while. Sorry about that cold, Boy, Bill owes you big for sharing. How is Jack?
Hope you girls are sleeping soundly.
