Re: Wednesday October 8, 2025
Good morning. It's going to be a really good day today.
I got my blood drawn today for my cardiologist and regular yearly check up with my regular doctor. One poke two doctors satisfied. This morning I will go do cardio rehab then the grocery store for stuff to make a fruit salad for a pot luck, I love fruit.
A friend and I went to a furniture store sale yesterday, she is going to buy living room furniture. The delivery fee is $150 but they will also take away your old furniture. I would love to get new furniture but have other things that need attention first. There will be other sales.
Moose decided that two am would be a good time to whine and want to go out. He never wants to go out in the middle of the night. About 3am I looked out the door and tried to get him to come inside, he wouldn't so I left him on the porch and went back to bed. Sometimes he is such a stinky butt.
Lois, so glad that you are healed up and your machine is on it's way home. After my surgery I had to take a water pill. One night I woke up twice to go to the bathroom. I usually sleep all night. The next morning I was back to my regular weight.
Judi, with all that fabric leftover do you think you skipped a block? Hope Ken loves his new job. I also have a calendar full of doctor stuff. When I turned 60 things started changing for me. I'm almost as good as new but have a few more things to address first.
Maryz, hoping there is leftover pizza for breakfast, I love cold pizza. 12 packs is good, how many were you planning to make. Glad the corn won't pop while they are being heated up. I've used corn startch and water to thicken things like stew or gravy, but this time I will try cream of celery. I put the meat in the freezer so it would be easier for me to cut up before browning it. It will either be a wonderful stew or an epic failure.
Flo, I think I would rather have grandma's spaghetti too. I will be at the grocery store after cardio rehab, maybe I will see you there.
Maryq, sounds like you either need to dognap Zara or get your own Zara. Do you think Shawn will give her up? Not sure about fake potatoes, if I'm having the carbs I'm having the real thing. I'll let you know how the thicken with cream of celery goes. 33 is quite chilly, We were in the 50's here.
Valerie, did the church people call first? I don't like when anyone just shows up. Hope the prep and the appointments go well.
Jana, sounds like you are in full Christmas mode. I would love to go see all of those decorations. Glad Zion is doing well and has a middle name. My guess it that his middle name isn't Aaron or Aaron would have remembered it. I was excited when I saw if was feeding time but no plate appeared in front of me so I guess I'm on my own again.
Lyn, glad things in the house will be ready to sell when you are. We had to install a carbon monoxide detector when we sold grandma's house.
Tinab, I love a good church rummage sale, there are always a treasure or two to be found
Allrighty, I need breakfast and to get on my way to cardio rehab. Dinner tonight will be something with hamburger.
You all have a fab day,
Chriss

Re: Wednesday October 8, 2025
Judi, I've never made a t-shirt quilt and have no desire to make one. One of my friends made a custom one for a pilot. I think she charged them about $1500 plus expenses. It sounds like working is Ken's retirement plan. Some people just need to work. Not me.
Maryz, I think one cat will be good since we already have 2 large dogs. Glad you are making progress on the KTVC. I haven't worked on mine at all.
Maryq, nice that you don't have to oil the machine. Probably as much as you use it, you should take it in once a year. I've watched those embroidery machines work and they do a lot of stitching.
Valerie, glad you were able to get the correct foot for the machine. Hope the appointments go smoothly.
Lois, yippie. Did they say what the problem was?
Chriss, I knew you were there typing. Fruit salad sounds yummy. I've been buying grapes at the farmers market and they are so sweet and yummy.
Another cloudy cool morning here. Jack took me walking. Now to figure out the rest of my day. I'm going to skip the drawing class. It doesn't sound like something I want to do. Dinner will be baked potatoes with chili and cheese.
Have a lovely day.
