Good morning all

Today is more cleaning, didn't get the fridge all done so will work more on that today. First shelf and drawer are in the dishwasher. I have put a stew on for dinner, load of laundry done. I also want to run the vacuum today. Have requested DH take 15 min everyday and go through his piles of stuff to decide what he needs and what he doesn't need. He also has to put the "stuff" he wants to keep where it goes, not back on the dresser! I haven't gotten any sewing done but that's the way it goes sometimes. I will plan to sew a bit tomorrow morning before I go to dentist tomorrow.

DH job is changing his schedule. Why they feel the need to do that I don't know. They are setting up for Fright Fest and while the entertainment department sets up the spook houses, maintenance follows up with the bracing . This year, they want it braced immediately, not the next day. Not sure why the second shift can't do this but I guess they can't. They want DH to work till 5. It will only be till we go on vacation so I guess I can do it. DH also found out yesterday that while his immediate boss approved his vacation, he never sent it on to admin. Anything over 2 weeks has to have admin approval. Wondering if I am really supposed to take this trip. So many things interfering. Hoping he can get that straightened out. He said there is something he can print showing the approval in January.

The truck parts have arrived at the right dealership no less! But they are still quoting early next week before we can get it back. I told DH he can't keep the car that long. It has already cost up close to $2000 and insurance will only give us $15 a day. Not even 1/4 of what we put out. He can ride his motorcycle to work and back. It's not going to rain so not sure why he didn't do that to begin with.

Diane I just had my Mammo yesterday. Not sure how long the results will take. I expect a normal result but you certainly never know for sure. My Mom and sister had breast cancer and my niece had cancer in situ. So I do go have mine usually every two years but they will do yearly.

Jana the clean up after a party like that I think is the hardest. We had my parents 50th anniversary at my house. We cleaned up for a few days after. Knock on wood, I think we make go through this summer with no triple digits. I thought General Conference was around Easter time?

Judi I have been eyeing that pattern but have (at least I think) resisted buying it. I will likely never get to it. When you find that 12 step pattern can you please give me the info. We should start one here online.

Maryz wonder what is in that soap stuff? Especially since you never usually have that problem. Yes most deliveries here are not free. The bed delivery was $150 but we didn't have to pay it due to a special deal. Kaiser is gong to start the 3D mammo's by next year. They have the machines but have to get their license for it. I am still watching CW videos when I can and will make a decision one day.

Lois that is odd, we can still call or go to the florist and order flowers. We can use online but I rarely if ever do.

Lyn I was at one time considering staying in Fergus Falls on our trip. Welcome back to the USA! Glad to have you home. Wal Mart here does not allow parking in their lot overnight. Salem is only about 4 hrs from my son.

Chriss hope you are still sitting around. Nothing is really needed to be done. It will be there when you get better. You have my number if you need some help. Of course I will be gone Sept (well that's the plan) but certainly can come done after. You will have 3 - 4 months likely of needing help.

Flo glad the men are home. Oh apple turnovers, love those.

Well if I am to get anything done, I must get going. Have a great day. Will try to check back in later.

Good morning. It's going to be a great day today. Tomorrow, it will be triple digits for a few days so I am soaking up the sunshine with the windows open today. Tomorrow I will be enveloped in A/C.

Had my Cat Scan yesterday, the results should be at my cardio surgeon soon. I have four different portals that I check to get updates so I can call and bug people to get me moving forward. I'm only semi pushy, I don't need to be totally pushy until I don't see anything happening. I have to say I really am quite pleased with my progress.

After the scan I went to a few thrift stores, found a mumu that will work well for me. I also found some tops. I will get them all in the wash, it will be a small load.

Today and until my surgery I am not doing much of anything. And that is how it will be. My cardiologist told me to take it easy and that I really didn't want to be in the hospital with heart failure. I'm listening.

Lois, seems that lots of things are only available on line. I've noticed that shopping online at say Target offers a lot more products than they have displayed in their store. My son used to send me flowers from 1-800 flowers for occasions, I had to tell him to save his money, the flowers don't last. Glad you found out that the Grace had a bad part. Nice to know it's not an operator error.

Flo, wow, 7th grade, middle school. does she go to a different school or the same one as last year. In this county schools are k-8 then highschool. Prayers for you son. Just FYI, I love anything apple and anything peach. Just incase you baked extra and needed help eating.

Maryz, sorry about the coconut shower stuff, but it is coconut and nothing good can come from anything coconut. I can't stand that smell, I don't like vanilla scented stuff either. Does Gold Bond medicated powder help with itching, it's what I like to use. I think Nachos is a great idea for dinner, I'll have to put that on my grocery list.

Judi, I had always been afraid to tackle Y seams until I did one. Funny how it looks hard until you do it and then, just like that, it's a cinch. That Jane Austin quilt is really pretty. Maybe, after you finish it, you could look for that 12 step program, unless you find another pattern you love, then start the 12 step later.

Jana, are you rested up from your shin ding? Did your adopted grandson get lots of pictures? I sure hope there is a family photo, I'd like to see it. Hope the doctor report today shows it's no big deal, but I did laugh when you said "what could go wrong" Looks like I missed your call to breakfast this morning, I will just look in the fridge and help myself.

Lyn, Isn't it wonderful how prayers work. It allows you to exhale. Glad you are on this side of the border, hoping you have uneventful travels.

Lori, I could use a trip to the grocery store. but it will wait till later in the week. I'm hoping the surgeon gets my results today so he can call me and get me scheduled. Nice that Bill golfs, it's good exercise, and it's getting together with people. I'm curious, how far along are you at your dad's house? I'm guessing, because of the many years of packing every nook and cranny full you are about 1/4th of the way done.

Diane, hoping all the doctor stuff goes smoothly.

Maryq, I'm hoping you found the perfect dishwasher. Sometimes it takes a long time to pick something out. There is just so much to choose from. I was looking at range hoods and finally had to pick one out and quit looking. The scan went well, just waiting for the results. I really am not thrilled with having to wait. Don't they realize who I am, ha ha.

Valerie, I have to pay for some deliveries too. But that's mainly because I am outside the free delivery zones. I ordered my range hood from Lowes and they were going to charge $79 for delivery or I could drive 30 miles to town and pick it up for free. I picked it up yesterday on my way home. I knew it as soon as I saw the Jane Austin pattern that Judi talked about I just knew you'd be wanting to do it. You go girl. Glad the truck parts are in, hoping that they don't find any other issues. Yep, I'm sitting around. Not doing any heavy work. I do need to go get some groceries but don't want to get too much. Thanks, I would surely call you if I need you. Hoping all works out for your vacation plans.

Just called and made an appointment for my step mom to get her hair done. They will be here tomorrow and we will take care of that. I love that all the way there she checks her wallet to be sure she has money and asks me where we are going and who is cutting her hair. Then all the way home she opens the car visor and looks in the mirror and says how nice she looks. Not sure she remembers it the next day but I like the way it makes her feel for a little while anyway. It's good to see the joy on her face.

I think I will get dressed and have some breakfast. Nothing happening here today, not even sure what dinner will be. I would like to make some deviled eggs and perhaps a tuna salad. Both sound really good.

You girls have a great day
