Maryz, sorry to hear about Gene. Hope he's going to be okay. Steak sounds yummy. Glad you were able to "fix" the iron by plugging it in. I think we've all been down that road.

Valerie, Bill has memory issues but has no intention of dealing with them. It's very frustrating. The not turning off the stove can be dangerous.

Jana, glad you eye is doing well. Oh what fun it is to play with and snuggle kittens.

Lyn, as least you're getting some time with the new machine since the weather isn't so nice. Have fun quilting your table topper.

Maryq, we bought a Bosch this year. It's a nice dishwasher and it's made in the USA. I try and buy as many things as I can with the made in America label. It is crazy how much groceries cost these days. I have some zippers I'll send to you. They've just been sitting around in a drawer here. Mostly neutral colors.

Lois, I started using Glide thread last year on my Bernina to quilt my tops. It's a wonderful thread.

I finished up a pillow for my niece this morning. It's got hand embroidery in the center. I need to make a pillow form for it then mail it out for her birthday. Another project finished and checked off the list. Chicken on the grill w/potatoes and onions and a veggie for dinner.

I have a question for y'all. Has anyone used Fireside by Moda for a backing? It comes 60" wide and is similar to Minky but better, I guess. The owner here said someone mentioned it to back her shirt memory quilt she's making. If you've worked with it can you give me your opinion and I will pass it onto her. Thanks!
