Valerie, I probably had those charms back in 2020 but made them into a quilt. I have lots of other charm packs and thought I might have what you need. I'm sure they'll show up somewhere in the house.

Chriss, sounds like yesterday was a good day for all. Glad to hear Marilyn is doing well. I'm still plugging along at dad's. I only go up there for an hour or two at a time. I'm sure they'll find something in your head and hope it's just your brain. Enchiladas sound yummy.

Maryq, I bet it will be nice to have Jen close again. It's hard having your kids so far away. Jack, my black lab, is such a good walker. Black labs are my favorite too. The puppies are so stinking cute.

Lois, enjoy you day working on the sunflower quilt.

Tina, what a wonderful tribute to her cousin. I know you are so proud of that young woman.

Jana, my parents' house has hardwood floors. They are wonderful and easy to clean.

Maryz, the memorial ceremony must be tough to attend. I've never been to one, but have been to many funerals of firemen and law enforcement and they are really hard. When I was working, sending officers on some calls was really scary. Hugs are always good for the soul.

Judi, having kids far away is really hard, but you adjust to it. We don't always see Jonathan on holidays, so when he's home we celebrate every moment.

Lyn, I bet that windshield is huge.

It's a beautiful day here. Supposed to get up to the low 80's. And it's sunny. We've all had our walks and the window are open. I have peanut butter cookies in the oven. I meant to make them yesterday, but didn't get around to it. So I did it as soon as we got back from our walk.

Yesterday when I was at my dad's an orange tabby showed up in the backyard. She had been down by my house last week and is very friendly. I walked out an called to her and she ran over and let me pet her and pick her up. Then she ran in the house and started exploring. I gave her a can of tuna I found up there and she was very hungry. She might have been dumped by someone. She has some scars on the top of her head. If she keeps coming around I'll take her in to see if she is micro chipped. If not, I may have to adopt her.

Dinner will be something on the grill since it's such a nice day. Have a lovely day whatever you get up to.

I'm back. I just heard we have a new Pope - Robert Francis Prevost from Chicago. First American Pope! He has chosen Pope Leo IX as his Pope name. Personally, I kind of like Pope Bob but oh well.

LORI - yes, the memorial is hard. I go most years and still can't believe it when I see Michael's name on the big movie screen. And it's been 40 years this month since his murder. The featured speaker is the Pierce County Prosecutor. She spoke of her origins as a dispatcher when she was just 20 yrs old - for fire, police, medical - in the days before 911. I thought of you. The ceremonies are always hard, but I feel sort of refreshed every time I attend one.

I've got laundry going and have decided on Spaghetti for supper. I have homemade sauce in the freezer.

It's late, and I was settling into bed, with Minnie snugged in her blanket next to me, finally getting a chance to catch up here. After about 2 minutes I realized that it's still too warm for sleeping, so I get up to switch controls to A/C and I hear Minnie scratching at my pillow and settling in against it. Little stinker.
May everyone have a good night's sleep 😴
