ImageVal, hope you can resolve the BIL issue soon. It doesn't sound like it's working out. Can you set some ground rules for living in your house?

Tina, I need running boards to get into our cars too. Bill's last truck was way too high. Even with the running boards it was hard for me to get into it.

Lyn, I'm tired just reading your post. Hope you get some rest before taking off.

Maryq, snow does make it look pretty.

Sharona, your cookies sound yummy. Save me a few.

Maryz, aren't cats fun. lol Dead things aren't so bad, it's when they bring in the live creatures and drop them. Yuk!

Lois, so glad the part worked out well for you.

Jana, I call trick or treaters free loaders. lol I do like the little ones in their cute costumes. Good thing Sarah's stove needed to be repaired.

Judi, have a fun sewing day.

I got everything changed over for the new vehicle. Such a pain. Jack and Wrigley took me for my walk. It's a beautiful morning here. Bright, sunny and crisp. I'm off to a lunch tea with some ladies at noon. It's a bit of a drive, but I'll be the passenger so I don't mind at all. Already got the candy ready for Bill incase the kids start showing up before I get home.

Have a wonderful day.

Good morning. It's a chilly but beautiful day today. There is no blue in the sky, it's all grey and threatening rain. the weatherman says we should see some showers on Saturday but I'm voting for today.

The parents were here yesterday. Dad needed to do what he calls tinkering. I took my stepmom on another ride. I'm running out of ideas on where to take her. She really doesn't care she just likes to ride.

The men are here to install the windows. I'm having 4 of 15 installed. I'll have to do them a few at a time. But boy I'd like to see the three in the living room done now. They will surely be next.

We (Moose and I) won't get any trick or treaters here. My house sets back from the road and it's a dark driveway. Unless you know my house is here it's easily missed. GPS takes you to the next driveway and I love to explain to people that GPS will take you too far, then watch as their cars turn around because they didn't listen. They have a big trunk or treat event in town and also the Soroptomist give candy to houses on certain streets because they get so many kids. The community donates the candy and the Sheriff's posse man the streets so no one gets run over.

Lori, a new Tahoe, yay for you. I just googled it and it certainly is a get out of my way and don't make me run over you car. I love it. Your pacman halloween quilt is adorable.

Judi, I'm so glad you are feeling up to moving more. soon you will be stepping lively up nd down those stairs. Hoping the man flu comes and goes quickly.

Jana, I have to say I am very grateful for Soc Sec. I get survivors benefits and am beyond thankful. And I love how it works. I can either take my SS or stay on survivors benefits, which ever is greater. I can also stay on survivor until I top out at age 70 and take my full ss. I'm in a good position. Sounds like you are too.

Lois, now we will never get you out of that sewing room. your fingers will be firmly gripped around those carriage handles. I'm so glad it's working for you.

Valerie, I'm sorry SS is giving you so much trouble. Hope it gets fixed soon. I think, because of the noise it makes, I'd get about 10 micorwaves and have them beep in succession. Then I would set every alarm clock to buzz right after those microwaves go off and I would follow it by a round of smoke alarm testing. Actually, if you want, I could come visit and you could tell BIL he has to give up the room for me.

Maryz, there is a tutorial for making a Lori Holt flannel board. It's cute with binding. I made one. I've also seen them already made in a LQS for way too much money. The new windows are going in as I type. I am also sitting here in my zip up hoodie and even though I have socks and shoes on my toes are cold. Should have stayed in my slippers. They will replace the entire new floor because of dyelots.

Sharona, I will go keep an eye on Jim and let him buy me a burger then arrive for those butterscotch chip oatmeal cookies. Two of my favorite things, a good burger and those cookies. They hae those tarrantula festivals here too. People swerve to miss the tarrantulas but speed up to hit the squirrels or maybe that's just me?

Maryq, love your little purses. I like working with jelly rolls. and really any pre cuts,
layer cakes, FQ's. etc. Nice of you to do the baby things, I bet they really appreciate it . So glad you have the snow and I don't.

Tina, Preston made me smile asking for purple macaroons. Hoping Easton if feeling better soon. 85 pounds? He was as much as Moose weighs. Hope that dd's thyroid gets fixed and he can still take something for the cancer. Funny about Elijah and the truck. goof ball kids.

Lyn, glad the trailer is loaded. I have three sledge hammers. No need to bring your own if you head this way. safe travels tomorrow, hope the snow stays at your back.

They are almost done with the windows I hear the trim going on now. I am very happy with Home Depot.

It will be so nice to find the right curtains for them and get those hung. Not quite sure what dinner will be. I have a steak thawing but if it's still frozen I will likely have a, you guessed it, salad.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I'm back..... so far I haven't got much done except find me a YouTube inside walking exercise that I actually liked and did. I was doing a few exercise videos awhile back but didn't really care for them so for me if it's not fun it doesn't hold my attention I guess. Anyway I did those for 40 minutes, 3 different videos instead of walking, I'm trying to give my foot a break and funny even though this was walking and moving and doing, my foot didn't hurt. So I'm thinking I may walk every other day and do these on my off days for awhile but I'd like to do them everyday, it gives me a chance to use my weights too.
Lori, I bet you're Tahoe is awesome! I get Carfax emails all the time and it's one that we were looking at before we bought our Acadia so I just look and dream πŸ˜‰ Love your little quilt!
Lyn, wow you've been so super busy, glad you took an extra day, it'll give you some catching up energy time. Safe travels.
Chriss, how cool to get new windows, we did ours several years ago but they don't seem to be holding up that well so some day we'll need to replace them again. Hmm where could you take mom to...... πŸ€”......I got nothin ..... sorry. I do like your ideas for Valerie 😁
I decided to do the dogs tomorrow so I don't have to clean twice today since I already vacuumed. I always vacuum before I bake... plus I'd have to shower and change clothes before baking so baking won out over dog baths and trims.
Happy Halloween πŸŽƒ

Well, my planned day went kaput and I almost kicked Mr G through the goalposts of life. Engineers! Sheesh! He was driving me nuts in the way he was trying to raise the height of his big desk, by placing small blocks of wood under each leg. Without unloading the drawers from the desk. Can you say obscenely heavy? Well, I finally texted Sarah complaining and she came over to help me move the stubborn mountain., called Grumpy. I walked away and Sarah succeeded at getting things done. Even sending info to the Dr and sending a nicely worded nasty gram to the billing department, who neglected to bill the secondary insurance for payment, not us.

Well, I'll keep him for today, tomorrow could be different.

My day went to you know where too. Dr decided to try the easy fix first and give me antibiotics for a week. Nausea set in within 30 min of taking the first one. Pharmacy says take on empty stomach. Really?
