Good morning everyone!!
Judi, I hear you on the families being yours for Christmas Eve. Here thankfully Maria's mom does Christmas Eve and I get Christmas! Makes me a happy camper.
This year I decided to alternate Thanksgiving with her mom, she didn't used to do Thanksgiving so it was never a problem but when covid hit she decided to start doing Thanksgiving. So I asked Maria this year if we could start alternating Thanksgiving day and Friday every other year and she was so happy and relieved because it was so hard on them trying to split their time and traveling between both families in 1 day. Thanksgiving to me isn't that big of a deal to do it on Thursday or Friday but Christmas is, it's always been a huge family thing in my family for generations.
We're cold and windy here. I'm staying inside and working on Christmas quilts.
You all have a great day!
Tina

Good morning everyone. It is cold, 40 degrees (I know that is warm for some of you!). Was able to get to my SS present late yesterday but did post this AM. Plan to visit the Antioch store as they are having 40% off closing sale and I would like to say goodbye to them all. Hoping the pillow class lady is there. She helps out often and weekends are when she goes. DH wants to go to the Guitar shop which is in Vacaville, the whole opposite direction! I will go by and check on Dad. No real change there. He must have a pretty strong heart is all I can think of. I don't want him to go but I don't want him to linger either. He has said more than once he wants to go quickly and not linger in a nursing home. Reality is it is not up to me. It looks like I finally made progress with the VA. His VA account has $10,924 more than it did yesterday. I haven't gotten a letter in the mail yet so no details. I will need to spend it some how or they will take it back.

So happy to hear progress is being made with our special twins. Prayers that Brodee will get to go home soon too.

Maryz I have been thinking about making some of those for office staff at work but not sure if I will have the time. I have a pattern for one that has a separate area to put a small bottle of hand sanitizer. And thanks so much for the SS gifts. What a nice array of items. Now I have to get creative. Have a great time building cows!

Chriss I have a coat I bought when I was up in Washington in the freezing cold. It is coming in useful lately here. Going out in the middle of the night when it drops into the 30's!

Suzette good luck in buying no more fabric. I do not think I could do that. They are always coming out with new stuff that is so pretty.

Lois what a great idea. When my husbands parents were alive and mine were also we traded off years.

Jana I really don't like that chirping sound those detectors give off. I have to get the ladder climb the ladder before I can turn it off. That is way too long.

Judi we do whatever the weather will allow. Both my kids live in snow country so they cannot always get here safely. I think the DSIL has 4 wheel drive or at least all weather tires but it's a dangerous drive at 7000 ft, Not sure yet what this years plans will be.

Lyn so sorry for the mishaps in your life. I tried to put the milk in the spice cupboard yesterday. I am really not operating on all cylinders either right now.

Maryq up at 0800? Uhm hope you are okay. I have been on the phone since 0530. Call after call for work. Then the last one came at 0743. Too late for me to go the 25 miles to Vacaville and get a visit done without OT. Boss waited till 0810 to respond so no, now it is really too late. They have assigned a slew of routine visits for today (these should be done during the week) and of course my favorite (LOL) male nurse called in again! They would be fine is all those routine visits were not assigned to weekend staff. So not my problem, I have plans.

Well guess I will think about getting dressed and start my day. Have a wonderful day all!
A Friend is God's way of making sure we never walk alone!
