Suzette, great idea for a label.
Judi, Safe travels. What hexie project are you working on now? I bought the book that you used for the last pattern. It has so many great quilting ideas in it.
Maryz, what book are you listening? I listen to books on my Kindle all the time. That way I can pause the story and take it in the car with me.
Well I got back from work training in TN yesterday. I'm trying to get back to my time zone now. It was 3 hours ahead. I've missed my sewing machine, so I'm sure we'll be chatting at some point today. Probably work on the red/white blocks since they are cut out and ready to sew.
Hope everyone has a fabulous day.

Good morning.. it's going to be "all about me" day.. unless something comes up I will sew like a crazy woman.. last night the kids tried to get me to take them skating today.. but I said no..
I slept in it was wonderful...I often wake up with a song in my head..it's good to wake up singing.. yesterday on my way home from work I got behind a pickup truck with a license plate that said hope 4 uu. I thought that was neat.. hope is good
Vicky.. I can't run the dvd player either.. I can't even make the tv go from direct tv to netflix.. I get Mar and say, make it work...hope you and DH are feeling better soon.. you have sure had your share of sick this year...
Judi, it's always fun to go on vacation and nice to be home.. are all the grands over their sick? hope the snow is all melted when you pull in your driveway.
Leah, those kitten noses are surprisingly cold aren't they..guess he wants breakfast...lol
Becca, guess if you want a "quilt by Becca" you have to get pregnant... there will probably be one coming after the October baby..what treasures for the babies to look back on when they grow up.
Maryz.. the over night girl probably does like coming here.. she tried to call her dad last night and couldn't get in touch with him... he's probably out and about...she will learn that she can't lie when she's with me... I will question everything I don't believe..she's really not a bad kid just unparented...funny how it doesnt' matter when mom/kid day is as long as we get to be with our kids.. I'm the same way.. he can name the time and place and I am there...
Tina, sorry you can't sleep.. you should bake a cake.. after all it's grandkid day at your house.. cause for celebration... woo hoo...how are things for the grands and their mom?
Kathy, glad you're all hooked up... and that you're getting more white fabric.. it's going to be a great day.
Lori, it is odd to change time zones and get caught up. happy sewing day.
Suzette, great label idea..
for me it's off to my sewing room..I will put a movie on then I need to iron, cut, sew, square up and sew and iron some more...
you all have a wonderful day

Re: Saturday March 15th
Good Morning Girls
Happy Saturday to you all! As usual I'm waiting for my coffee to kick in to I can start the house chores! Will need the whole pot today I'm sure to get everything done on my list! Definitely will need my nap this afternoon as I could NOT get to sleep last night! Visions of Red and White quilt blocks dancing in my head!
Not going to be very warm here today... 30 maybe.. and it's overcast. Somebody as work mentioned that we are supposed to get some snow on Tuesday.. I hope they are WRONG! I've had enough and I'm sure a lot of the rest of you are so done with winter. I'd like to get out to the garage this afternoon...need to find my steam buggy cleaner and a couple spare tote boxes. Might even seen if my lawn mower starts--just for fun!
Suzette, that is a cute idea for a label.. That's one part of a quilt I always forget to do--a label. Now that Jen's quilt is done I suppose I should think about that.
Lori... on my TO DO for tomorrow is my R & W blocks... lots of pieces are cut out and ready to sew! I really need to get cranking on them because the next couple weekend, when I normally sew are going to be busy!
Kathy... I so know what you mean about computers making us feel stupid. I can barely figure out my phone! A friend of mine is trying to talk me into buying a Kindle Fire... but even those confuse me. Wow a quilt from the 80's.. Does your DD know you finished it for her?
Judi... I looked up the Scarlet Quilt shop online---you can even shop online there! Though I am sure it is much more fun to wander around in there! There's even some darling fabric in the clearance section--I may do a little shopping!
MaryZ... Do you have your green outfit ready for Monday! There's not much green in my closet, but I know I'll be wearing something green! And the earrings I bought when I was in Ireland 13 years ago!
Tina... If you can get Jaz to dust for you ... go for it! In fact, if she gets on a roll and still wants more to dust, send her up here! No windows open here yet for dust, but there's a thin white dust everywhere from the construction going on the last few weeks! It's on my to do list for today!
Vicky... sorry to hear your DH is so sick... I do hope it's not the flu-flu but just a little big that will pass quickly! Don't you hate that when something you have in your head doesn't come out the way you see it! I'm sure when it's all done it will be beautiful.
Becca... FIVE baby quilts!!! Once they are done, what's your next project?
Chriss.. YEAH for a "CHRISS DAY" Tomorrow will be MARY day at my house! Can't wait to crank out some R & W blocks.. have so many ideas in my head! Maybe even a DP or two!
Guess if I'm ever going to get to that sewing room this weekend I better start the chores.. oh but where to start! Little messes every where. Need to get the bills paid first then out of jammies and into work clothes!
Wishing you all the most wonderful day! With lots of prayers for all in need--especially our ScrappPat!

Re: Saturday March 15th
Good morning!
We are getting ready for snow also - some today and then more on Tuesday. The silver lining is that the March snows usually melt off in a day or two.
I'm headed out to my sewing hole. I'll get pictures posted after my bird houses are done. I've only opened boxes to find thread - it's all still a jumble out there.
Yesterday I took DH to the dentist to have a tooth pulled. It was only supposed to take 20 minutes. Two hours later we were finally out of there. The tooth pretty much disintegrated on top, and then the root part was wrapped around a bone. It required surgery, which luckily for us this dentist is licensed to do. EUGH!!!
Prayers being lifted for y'all while I sew. Have a lovely day! xoxoxo Sharona

Re: Saturday March 15th
Just a brief hello to all
I am cleaning my living room which usually takes me two days. I finished the windows today and the front part of the room. will do the
rest tomorrow. I really want to sew in the afternoon. Have not been in my sewing room for a couple of days. Not good . hehe
But I am determined to get every thing but my bedroom done by show on March 29.
I will be going on a bus trip to a quilt show in Hannibal Missouri on April 4 . We will also get to stop at the Hickory stick quilt shop.
If any of you near that area let me know.
Thank goodness I have all my quilt friend.

Good morning,
Windy here, all last night too. Blew so hard that part of the neighbor's fence blew apart. Other than the wind it is a bright day.
Like Chriss, it's a me day here. I am heading down to the Batt Cave and get some sewing done.
Stopped off and saw my little grands and the new retaining wall that DS2 built in his front yard. They wanted a level spot in the front yard to put in a tree. Part of the price of the new house was all the lawns, so before they come and just slap down grass, DS2 wanted a little more design. Looks good. The wall is only about two feet tall and a simple curve. Today the boys are moving rocks -there a a lot of rocks! Seems as we checked the old maps of the area, that it was a rock quarry at one time. So there are rocks! LOL The landscapers will bring in topsoil, so getting rid of most of the rocks is a good thing. The boys are moving the rocks from the front yard, to the backyard, where the RV pad will be. Our version of moving the woodpile from one side of the yard to the other -boys need that! LOL
Well best get moving
Do something fun!
Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Re: Saturday March 15th
Hello,
We are recovering from some serious cold type junk. Hubby's cough isn't as bad so I am very thankful for that.
Yesterday was almost warm so I did get out on the deck. The yard is too muddy to be in. I have been told my crocus are poking up. DS2 saw a robin, I have yet to. Now I think they may be seeing them and don't say anything to me until I do. The turkeys, it's hard to have a competition if they don't play honest. Of course they are off the farm and travel so they have a better chance of seeing them.
Many uglies and laundry today. Would someone please tell me when national quilting day is? I think it was the last week sometime.. Thanks.
Florence M-I saw on the news where they raised a pirate boat out of the water in Big Bear. I thought of you when I saw that.
More snow today, but an inch or less. We always get one more snow after I see a robin so I sure hope I see a robin quick.
Have a great day.

Good morning all,
I'm working on El's Kitchen and have decided to take a break. Just ordered some new rulers from Quilt in a Day online. I have several ladies from TN that are doing the quilt at the same time. I try to get down there a couple of times a year so we stay in touch. Have so much fun with them even when I'm here and they are there.
Have a great weekend!

Re: Saturday March 15th
Good afternoon from semi sunny but still chilly, SW. Pa....I think it's up to about 50 but chilly temps are on the way, again......
The big parade went off without a hitch....I'm glad we didn't have the protesters that will be at the Boston parade....
And Maryz, you're exactly right, nothing stops the parade...I remember one year we had a couple of feet of snow and they marched on....Hearty Irish people, we are.....And in this house, green is the official color, all year round....A girls day out, that will be special...I miss those days with Kathy but DDIL, Cindy has taken her place (almost, lol)....
And as we all know, the Irish aren't known for their food but I always have to make Shepard's Pie.....
I've spent most of the morning between catching the robotics competition and doing the Whirlpool waltz....DS and his team are doing quite well and hopefully will be in the finals....And if it had been a warmer day, one of the DGSs is playing lacrosse but they know I'm a fair weather fan....
Judi, By the sounds of things, your camper is coming home with more than it left with....By driving home this last time, I was able to load up the van with oranges and grapefruits....And, no I'm not going to Lancaster (wish I was)....I live in SW. Pa and any of those major highways coming north will bring you here....I'll be more than happy to lighten your load.....Safe travels.......
Vicky, so sorry to hear about the "punies" going around in your house....We need to get rid of all the snow and bad weather, bring on some fresh air and everyone will be fine.....I'm sure your Harley quilt will be purrrrfect......
Chriss, enjoy your "me" day....Everyone needs a day just for themselves....I agree, the "overnighting" girl does need more exposure to goo parenting......
Well, the washer is calling and it's time to check on the robots.......
You all have great day.........
