Teresa: I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your quilts. Hope you will share.
Also, I am glad your tooth area is healing nicely. So the bone scrap found it’s way out, that’s wonderful. That should help speed up the healing.
You need to get a better schedule, so you can sleep at normal hours. No wonder you find yourself making mistakes. You really need lots of rest. That’s the time our bodies mend and refresh us.

Suzette: So happy the treatments are ended. Now I hope we will continue to hear you make progress to getting your energy back to normal.

Leah: So sorry for the troubles in the neighborhood. Did the children stay by you?
How old are they? Do you know them well? Sounds like you are being a good neighbor to the family. Hope all turns out for the better soon.

Lois, Hope you have a lot of fun at Lancaster. I bet you will come back with lots of fun ideas and great purchases. Glad the training is going good, too.

Vicky: So much nasty weather. The only good thing is that Spring is getting so close now, that it won’t last much longer. Hope Tia and the kids decided to stay in away from the dangers of bad roads. Sounds like the children are really advanced. Wow, 5 months and able to pull self up, that is incredible! Good luck with the dishwasher. We had one years ago when our children were young, I actually gave it up gladly. I hated the darn thing. I am one who likes to do up dishes as I cook, and do the dishes right after each meal. I just hated putting things into the dishwasher and then waiting to run the dog gone thing once a day. Just was not in my nature. Even at a big dinner like Thanksgiving, you couldn’t get everything into the dishwasher, so you were still doing dishes in the sink. I just like a well organized kitchen and never wanted another dishwasher ever again.

Maryz; Sounds like you are getting ready to start your travels back home. I don’t plan to start another sewing project here either. Just finished up the few I had going and I am now just working on my other crafts to get them caught up and finished before we get ready to pack it in and travel.

I hope Sherry will post a picture of Otis, too. Willy is ready to meet his new little buddy. How is Scottie doing, we have not seen a picture of him lately. Bet he is a BIG boy by now.

Today is our sewing group day. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I was sick last week and couldn’t attend. Lyn was gone, too, so we were both abscent.

Okay, now, you all have a great day. Hope the sun shines in your day, even if it is just a smile from a special friend or loved one. :)

Hugs
Velda

Good morning... what a great day it's going to be today...

Cindy, happy surgeon visit today, I will say an extra prayer... our garage door opener died and Jerry took it apart, found that a little plastic piece was broken.. he found it online and ordered it for $5 plus shipping...and it works now...I haven't watched the bachelor in a while.. a little steamy for an 11 year old.

Maryq.. I also love that the weekend is coming and I get to sew.. I love applique.. Vinae will host the next swap then it's my turn and I have a project planned that can go either applique or pieced or both...how old is Corinne? what is your girly girl pattern plan?

Chickie...we have mostly snow birds or regular finches here.. but once in a while I see a blue bird.. I so love that blue...sorry Smokey is a bull... but you're right, it is the farm life...

Lyn, glad you got back to Tx... hope eveything worked out in Colo...

Florence, our Direct TV bill just went up to $95. it's DH's incentive to install an antenna here.. we will get the three major networks and a couple of other channels, we also have Netflix and hulu... hope grumpy Joe didn't scare away the tv guy...lol

Izzy, sorry you couldn't sleep well.. hope today is another story...hope you post picutres of all of your projects.

Jana.. glad you saw the false bottom in the box.. wonder how many people throw it away? I haven't had time to watch the last two mystery quilt sessions.. maybe while I'm sewing this weekend...

O'Dorothy, nice of you to make deliveries on your way home... we have Jay's here too, they eat the cats food.. dang Jay's...

Teresa, I think we all over think our quilts.. I know I do...I need a sign for my quilting room that reminds me to keep thinking to a minimum...

Leah, you might want to think twice about getting too involved in your neighbors woes.. perhaps you could look up phone numbers of places to help the mom.. what is First Nations???

Suzette, happy last treatemnet day..

Lois.. its almost friday.

Vicky.. I'm impressed that K-butt has two jobs.. hope you get your coal soon.. and that DH feels better...

Maryz.. wow, finished with Crazy Jane..so??? do you feel sane now?

Becca, I love hand embroidery...what a treasure.

Veldca, happy sewing day...

has anyone seen Karlene????gosh she's been gone a long tiem

gotta go,,

Yes, I know the children as very poor, mother looks after them, but police were called, not sure what happened. Just before po arriving the hydro meter reader, came rushing, assume furnace malfunction, heard po yell from inside he would check make sure no other bodies involved. Then they left quietly, no investigation required, and were talking to her on cell phone. Children went home..

I think it ended well. I could hear the crying, and wanted to jump in and hold them dear.. knowing that they be hungry coming back from school, and I had raspberry pie out of the oven. Police are very disconnect with public, and have told me to mind my own when trying to help in past. Now, no one opens door to the police when they require help.. I'm not only one!

Teresa - what meds? for your tooth? Laid back is good....unless you need to get stuff done - LOL.

Scrap - why did the police come? What is first nations?

Suz - I'll celebrate with you - I'm having a cup of coffee. Congrats on your zaps being done!!

Lois - oh, my, if you are anything nearly as excited as me before the Houston quilt show I don't know how you are retaining any knowledge at all - LOL. I'm excited for you and can't wait for you to go.

Vicky - K-butt - that's cute. I hope Tia stays home with those babies and not get out on the slick streets. Can't wait to see Harley. I hope this is the last time you have to have the dish washer guy out to fix it.

Maryz - glad to hear you could put Jane to bed for a while. When will you start on those borders? Enjoy relaxing and reading. The wind is blowing pretty good here, too. And the Oak pollen is high here, almost 500. I've got my Benadryl all ready just in case.

Becca - wow, you do have a herd of babies coming almost all at once. Reminds me of 1976 & 77 - my sister, step-sister and I were pregnant at the same time. Have you posted pix of your embroidery?

Velda - gosh, I must be super lazy. I load the dishwasher to the brim and then I turn it on. Some days it's not full enough to run but I'll be darned if I'm going to stand there and do dishes when I could be parking my lard butt on the love seat and sewing. I'd like to see a picture of Otis, too.

Today is a big day for me - my BFF, Vicki, is having surgery to fix her torn rotator cuff at 1:30. My DH has an appointment with the surgeon and we'll find out if he'll do the surgery without the bone scan being done. As for me, I think I'm going to have to get myself a cane. I can hardly walk because my groin and hip area hurt so badly on the left side. Ice doesn't help. Heating pad doesn't help. Aleve doesn't help. Grrrrrr That's it for the old fart report.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Chriss - how can Maryz feel sane when she's got all those teensy hexies in a bag? LOL I'm really surprised that Don didn't take apart our garage door opener to see if he could fix it. He's so good at that sort of thing. The man takes apart 221 Featherweights and puts them back together and makes sure they sew well. Anyway, the old garage door opener was cheesy from the start as it's the one the builder put in. This new one is so much more quiet. And here I thought garage doors/openers were suppose to make a big racket. Bachelor and Bachelorette are a bit steamy for an 11 yr. old. I think the whole thing is ridiculous anyway. I don't want Marilyn to dream of going on TV when she's older to find a husband and agree to marry someone after two months of dating with him dating other women until the very end. I should turn the TV to anything else when that is on or watch a movie on those nights. LOL

Good morning! Hold on to your hats, East of me—I thought we were going to end up in Oklahoma for sure! I’m glad they got the roof on tight when they built this cabin! Finally it calmed down… after the temperature fell 50 degrees from the high yesterday of 78. Yesterday I got in a walk, helped DH load then unload and stack his firewood (for sale), clean the floors, clean out one of the flower beds and fix and clean up after dinner. I was one tired puppy. My reward was the premier issue of BLOCK magazine, and I was not disappointed!

BULLETIN: I just had a text from SCRAPPY PAT—“Tell everyone on QIAD hello for me. I am very sick. Don’t have any energy. Miss all!”

Good morning Teresa—sounds like you are in LaLa land and don’t realize it. Those pain meds can sneak up on you. Be careful getting addicted! Are you taking something else that may be causing a reaction? Those bone chips can feel like boulders!

Irish—Getting back in the cooking routine is a real bummer! Welcome back to the north country. Sorry you are arriving just in time for the next round of storms. It will make you appreciate your Florida visit!

Chriss—I really enjoy the birds. On our walk yesterday, I spied ducks on the big pond. I watched from afar through binoculars so they wouldn’t be disturbed. It would be so neat to have a flock stay on that pond. It is out of the way and the cows never get on it unless the fence is down. I need a duck blind for watching… I agree about the not overthinking.

Scrap—Lea, it was so nice of you to help the children. I hope the mother will be able to take care of them. You will be their favorite person if you feed them pie!

Suzette—Happy dance with you/for you today! We are on the down temp rollercoaster today. Back up tomorrow. Best wishes to your DH!

Lois—how exciting for you to be almost completing your training! I feel your Lancaster excitement and getting to have a road trip with your sister!

Vicky—I hope they are wrong about your weather! Tia’s babies are already over-achievers! She will really have her hands full! I love hearing about Jovanna and Timmy. Give them hugs from me! That’s certainly a maintenance agreement that paid off! I think you got a lemon—glad they are taking care of you! Glad to hear you have back up heat.

MaryZ—You had a marathon with Crazy Jane! Wow!!! Congratulations! How many bottles of wine did it take? LOL! I know you would have been blown away by our winds last night! When are you starting home?

Becca—Your family is growing quickly! Ours has stalled. I enjoy hand embroidery. I hope to get back to some projects when I get my hand quilting finished.

Velda—have fun at your sewing group. Know it will be good to see Lyn again. I like having a dishwasher although I don’t use it much for just the two of us.

Cindy—You are younger than I am! Did you walk or sleep crooked? Best wishes to Vicky and your DH! And to you—maybe you need to check in for an exam!

Kathy—so good to hear you feel better! Yay for getting wireless! I only have a laptop now and a Kindle.

Enjoy today!

Good morning!

Need to leave in a few for Bible study, but wanted to pop in and say hi.

Cindyg and Suzette - good luck to you and your DHs at the doctori today.

I've even riveted to the TV - a guy stole a vehicle with a 4yo boy in the back. The helicopter has been tracking him. At one point he bumped into another car and threw out the driver and took it, leaving the 4yo in the first car thank goodness. The police keep throwing those stop strips at him but missing. The chase continues....

Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

Good Morning Girls

Here it is Wednesday again already! Yeah for the work week going by so fast! Am ready for the weekend with a mile-long TO DO list! I make my list is 2 parts--chores and FUN stuff! The fun will be finishing up my Lotto Blocks and working on the R & W blocks!

I heard room mate up a few minutes ago.. she's off today and I think her plan is to go look at places today... gosh I hope she finds something SOON!!!!

Teresa.. YEAH for the Comic Quilt all done! You night owl!! I don't know how you can stay awake all night!!! Squeeze in a little nap today! Glad to hear the tooth is getting better!

Becca... My goodness that's a lot of babies! Will they all be cousins! How fun that will be! Your sewing machine will be running non-stop to get all those quilts done!

Chriss. Corinne will turn 5 on April 2. The pattern is little dresses appliqued.. I have one done I'll post a picture of this weekend. She will start kindergarten this fall -- and it is my tradition with the grand kids to take them out to lunch then shopping for school supplies. I already asked her her favorite place for lunch... McDonalds!

Velda... NO dishwasher!!! I could probably live without one too, as they only thing that goes in mine is coffee mugs... I can run it about once a week! but then you know I don't cook!

Maryz... AAHHH back to sanity... Crazy Jane is done! You are so brave to tackle such a project!! Can't wait to see a picture when it's all done. One of these days I'm going take a day to curl up with a good book... with everything going on around here, it won't be any time soon!

Vicky... WOW Timothy is trying to stand up already!!! He's too little!! When Jen was little, she couldn't say JENNIE so she was NENNIE... as in "NENNIE DO IT"

Lois... you and Dolores must be BOINGING BOINGING to get to that quilt show!! How fun! Hope you find what you are looking for and MORE!

Suzette.. YEAH for radiation being DONE!!! but lots of prayers still coming for you DH!!!

Cindgy....For you and Don too! And for Vicky that all goes well with her surgery.

Kathy... so good to hear you are feeling better.. no fever. Some days I wish I had wireless too, then I could sit on my comfy couch and chat.. but I just have DSL and it seems to work just fine. More snow? When will it END!!!

Chickie... Can't wait to get my magazine!!! Thanks for the update on Pat... she is in my prayers every night!

Guess I'll get butt in gear here this morning. Need to clean out all the junk under my kitchen sink as my plumber is coming tomorrow to install a new kitchen faucet and fix up my water filter... I have new kitchen lights, but the electrician still needs to come back and finish them up. After April 1st.. the ceilings will get fixed. I should take some before and after pictures!

Do any of you have granite counter tops? My contractor is trying to talk me into replacing my kitchen with granite... Not sure I want to take on that expense!

Oh and by the way... if you have a spare prayer today... please send one up for my brother Tim... he's having more back surgery--I think this will be his 3rd.. He's in constant pain so they are trying to help relieve some with another surgery.

Wishing you all a most wonderful day

Good morning everyone. Another snowy day here in NW Ohio. Our Lenten Service for tonight has been cancelled. Can't get out of my driveway anyway. Yesterday took Otis to the Vet to get checked out and get any shots he needed. The vet said he is in good health except for his teeth. Several are missing and many ground down from possibly chewing on metal fencing. Will get those taken care of in a few months after I get everything settled here. The vet said he is between 6 and 8 years old, and I told her that I am his Forever Home however long it is. She said that she thinks his early years were not very good. The rescue shelter only knew that he was to be gassed within a week when they rescued him. No one wanted him until I got him Saturday. He has adapted quicker than I thought he would. Thanks for letting me go on about my new "boyfriend".

Sandy - Hope you feel better soon.

Izzy - Loved your poem. I need to watch the Mystery Quilt Video today. I have found that since they have had several problems with the shows I just wait until they get the "bugs" out. Need to get some blocks done soon.

Miriam - If I lived on a farm with cows I would probably be a vegetarian. I couldn't eat something that "I knew personally" like I used to tell DH. LOL

Maryq - Glad you are getting a refund. I have to pay this year.

Cindyg - Hope report on Don comes back all right, and you don't have much trouble with the insurance company. Hope your hip feels better soon.

Velda - Willy is so cute. Otis says hi. I need to figure out how to post pictures on here so I can show you Otis. Will try to figure it out soon.

Suzette - So glad you are done with radiation treatments. Hope your DH gets some good reports with his doctor visit. Will be in my prayers.

Chriisy1 - I got a note from a friend yesterday and she mentioned that her grandson was in Norway training with the USMC. I wonder if he is in Mo's unit. I will have to fine out his name. Hope Myles is feeling better.

Teresa - Hope tooth feels better soon. Be careful with your meds. Sounds like you need to check them out.

Kathy - Glad you feel better.

Becca - Will trade my snow for your 55 degrees and rain!

Maryz - Sounds like you are moving along great with DJ. My DJ probably thinks I have forgotten about her. I need to get back to her soon.

Vicky - If my dishwasher goes out I am at Lowe's right away to get a new one. Since DH passed I only run it ever other day, but I am not washing dishes by hand. Guess I am spoiled.

Lois - Glad your job training is going well. I have been to Lancaster County several times, but not to the show. It is on my Bucket List. Have a good time and think of me while you are there.

Well better go and get something done though I don't feel like it with this crappy weather. I plan on getting DH clothes ready to take to the homeless shelter here in town. He was a larger man and they don't get those sizes there very often. I want someone to get some use out of the ones that are still good. Prayers for all who need them today. Have a good week all!

Sherry and Otis
