Good Morning!

It's 64* and muggy/misty this morning. Possible T-storms are predicted today - the day we're meeting friends for a picnic.

CHICKIE - thank you for the update on Pat. I feel so badly for her and wish words would help her. Perhaps words of prayer will. So that's what I'll be doing.

TERESA - sure hope your tooth pain eases up quickly. And your news about Cindy B wasn't too good either. Two of my three brothers have been dx'd with bladder cancer. Both have had surgery and treatment and both are doing well. I will prayer for the same results for Cindy.

SANDY - I hope the cows and your son's bank account are OK. it seems everything is getting hacked these days!

SUZ - so sorry you are feeling so fatigued. Only 13 more days! I can't sew when I'm just plain tired at the end of the day. I don't know how you can do it.

LOIS - you sound quite easy and confident about your training. I can tell "you got this". Will the job be full-time after your training is finished?

LEAH - You're so right about neglecting dental care. When I was little, my first dental appt when I was 9 was so traumatic (8 fillings, no novacaine) that when I lost a filling as a teenager I wouldn't tell my parents. In adulthood I went on to lose that tooth, had a gap for 20 years, 2 bridges for 20 years and finally just finished implants of that tooth and the one next to it. All because of poor dental care as a child. Now I brush twice a day, floss, and get cleanings every 6 months.

VICKY - sure hope you're feeling better soon. Is this the same thing? you didn't relapse, did you? Hope Darryl is feeling better soon, too.

VELDA - I like your analogy. So many health and other problems in our group, but prayers and affection covering us all like a big quilt!

Friends are picking us up at 0900 to go see some other friends. We're all in RV's so with 6 people and 3 dogs, it will be an outdoor gathering with a BBQ meal. Hoping the T-storms hold off until we come back. It will rain on us anyway. Already is. But this is the only day we can see everyone.

I made 2 Janies yesterday but one is wonky. I woke up in the middle of the night with an idea of a better way to do it, so I'll probably make it again. If the second one is worse, I'll go with the wonky look! Yesterday I bought a small print black that reads solid for sashing fabric for Jane. I think she'll look good in it.

Hoping your day brings you a least one delightful moment. Look for it!

Wow Lots of you up and moving,,,or still awake I am never sure. I was up at 7 with a prod from Ken to take my bone pill and being walked on by a hungry cat. both are now done...but I still need to wait for my coffee. It is usully a long 30 minutes.

I had my credit card hacked this summer ,,,they charges or cash advanced 400 on my card....Chase was really good about replacing the card...then I used my card one stupif time at Target,,,,Chase replaced it again, so I am happy with their service.

zToday we are going to the gym and to The Alligator Farm....it is a zoo but they have zip line and other stuff. Sis and her hubby have wanted to go for years...so today we will finally go there....we are all big kids at heart. and I love animals.

prayers are a big part of the day...as I sew hexxies or FPP I often through the day ask God to answer your prayers as He sees fit. Hope that is happening for you.

I am using a laptop that seems to be a little odd. I have started a post several times but there is a problem with the internet shutting itself off. So, I will make it brief.

The number of folks with health issues is a concern, but we are here to support each other with kind words and prayers. Let's keep them going!!

Computer hackers are just an interesting piece of humanity. Our DGD, who is a Marine, has had her card hacked 3 times - twice in the states and once while in Afghanistan. The problems were handled but it was a real headache. Her mom, our DD-in-law, was caught in the Target mess. Now, there was a real mess.

I spent part of the morning watching The Quilt Show that Izzy posted. Since I want to attempt a kaleidoscope quilt, I spent part of my sleepless night watching it. They make it look so easy. I do need to get a design wall if I attempt this one. Ricky Tims was demonstrating the quilt. Since I just started looking, I will have to spend time trolling the rest of the shows - including El.

Better get dressed, have some coffee, maybe a lot of coffee since I have been up since 3.

Have a super day everyone. Another doctor's appointment for DH in a town 20 miles south with a Joann's and a quilt shop. If I can get him to stop for me, time to fabric shop for that wedding quilt.

Good Morning !!
Today is supposed to be very cold but tonight is to have a wind chill of -20. I have to order more wood. I thought it would start to warm up.
Today I am washing down dining room walls finished cupboards yesterday. I also worked on my civil war quilt. I will soon have the
58 inch center put together. I think for my sewing project I will start putting together row C and part of row B of the SBS quilt.
I really want to see more of it together.

Kathy, I often have projects I wish were quilted... I did buy some binder clips so I can start the sandwiching and get it right.. I pm'd you Scrappy Pat's address.

Cindyg.. I assume the ct scan will be today?

Maryq.. 34 days till roommate moves out... as an incentive you might want to stop and get some kind of moving boxes.. wouldn't want her to have that for an excuse...procrastination drives me nuts....the way Marilyn's cat looks she will have a zillion kittens.. they will be outside and not tamed. we have an agreement with our cats.. we feed them once a day and they hunt the rest of the time..

Diana, what can I say, sometimes I am brilliant....lol

Teresa, glad the tooth stuff is all better... not sure you can keep people from commenting in any section here but I know I would love to see the quilts... like I told Diana, I am brilliant sometimes...

Judi, everyone needs time to be a kid.. hope it's lots of fun. can you get up 30 minutes earlier on pill day so you don't have to wait so long to have coffee.....hope you laughed at that one...

Kath2.. happy sewing and scrubbing... I would like to take another trip to Illinois but I think I will wait till it thaws out..

Thankfully we haven't had credit card or banking issues.. we did have a CC company call to ask if we were charging someplace and when we said no they stopped that card and issued another one...it has happened to my dad and sister..

there is a new scam out there targeting the elderly... someone calls and pretends to be a grandchild in jail needing bail money wired immediately..they prey on the confusion to get $$.

I think we are all ready for the b-day party this weekend... I am glad it's a small group. I still need to go shopping for a present, she is on a webkinz kick so it will be easy...

Good Morning Girls

Just a quick fly by this morning as I have get in the shower soon and stop at Home Depot to buy a new washing machine! Looked on line yesterday, talked to a gal at HD and they can deliver and set on up next Wednesday--so I got the day off from work to stay home and wait for it. YIPPEE Got home from work about 10 last night and got most of the water out of it. My neighbor and his son are going to come and take the old one out for me, then do some repair work in the laundry room--missing sheet rock from when water got in. I had asked room mate to move the litter box from under the laundry tub into her room, but apparently she didn't feel like it....she said she'll do it tonight! Needless to say I was a little MAD! This weekend... we'll have a talk!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about ScrappyPat! I will lift her up in prayer today and prayers for all of you in pain and sickness.

Teresa - glad you got that tooth hole taken care of. Nothing is worse than a tooth ache or ear ache. Oh, well, heck, everything is bad if it's hurting!

Sandy - oh, I hope your son's checking acct. hasn't been hacking into. I understand it's a huge pain in the butt to get it all straightened out.

Suz - I think you should order delivered food every day until you are all better. You work and you are having treatments - that's enough for any gal!

Lois - sounds like your new job is going OK so far. It's kind of hard teaching this old dog new tricks. Actually, I learn pretty fast - the problem is that I don't like change. Does that sound like an old lady, or what??? LOL

Scrap - I hate to hear you are having problems with your teeth and that falsies are in your future.

Velda - I saw your blinged up flip flops. You're going to be stylin' there in the RV park.

Vicky - you have also been included in our prayer list because of your C-diff. It surely does seem like a lot is going on with illnesses of ourselves or someone in our families. Gives us lots to pray about.

Maryz - we're not getting rain until late tonight but it's suppose to hang around and get cold, too. I hope your pic-a-nic isn't a total washout.

Judi - have fun at the zoo today. I love most dogs - snakes and alligators not so much. LOL

Diana - I must go find the post of The Quilt Show that y'all are talking about. I hope you get to stop at JoAnn's and the fabric store today.

ME - sounds like you are spring cleaning....or is company coming?

Chriss - PM me ScrappyPat's address, too, please. Don's CT scan was Saturday morning. We should hear from the doctor today. I'm trying not to get to anxious so as to keep my blood pressure from rising.

CindyB - prayers going up for you, too. Somehow I didn't realize what is going on with you.

Last night I finished sewing the spring tote and tonight I will start blinging it up. Today is lunch with the girls day. Have to go to the store for camping food after work because it will be cold and raining the next two days and I especially don't like going to the store in the rain.

I hope we can all fondle some fabric today.

My anti virus took over this morning. I'm not sure I like people or things touching my things.....LOL
The movie was so funny last night I got a tummy ache. It's not a movie I would ever have picked...Ride Along. The burgers were good too.
Today I'm going to cut all the fabric for pillow cases & the reds.

Teresa....I sure do hope this helps your poor tooth. Thank you for Cindy's up date. How awful they didn't get it all. I'm so concerned about I go every 6 months for my cleaning. The only Dr I cried about when I moved was my dentist. Went to him for 40 years.

Sandy...aren't mom hours 24/7!! Hope the bank straightens out his. acct.

Suzette.....sorry to hear you are under the weather. Chinese delivery was a good idea. (((((HUGS)))))

Lois....It seems your training is so going well.

Lea....we'll be cold for an other week too. Today no sun.

Thank you for Pat's address. That's one scam I can't fall for my grands are 8 & 6. I think small parties are the best you can seem to do more.

Maryq.....Oh something new...too bad it's a washing machine. It dose make the laundry easier. I'll never understand how some one can treat the person helping them so poorly.
