Re: Monday, February 24
Good morning I didn't sleep very well last night, Miss Kitty was a little restless too and usually she sleeps at my feet all night but she kept wandering around the bed, Maybe there was a critter outside bothering her,,,but I didn't hear anything, there are raccoons here and if you leave anything outside they will get into it. Once years ago my sis left her red licorice outside and of coursr the raccoon was sitting on her picnic table eating it....she told her DH to go take it away from him..LOL YEah right, He declined.
I tried sewing yesterday and did manage to screw up another foundation paper piece of the block....sewed it on the wrong side of the paper making the piece backwards. I am running out of copies of the paper so I may have to scrap this project and stick with hexxies and cutting appliques for the Christmas quilts. Mental block returned...and yes I have watched a zillion FPP videos too...
Well we are headed to the gym so I need to get ready..it is in the 60s here and it rained all day yesterday till about 8pm. it is forcast for today too
You all have a great day prayers and hugs XXXOOO

Good Sunny Morning......
Today I'll be finishing the boarder on the black/white. The one & only boarder will be 2" & white like the sashing. Heaven only knows when I get it quilted. I'll finish the 3ed sweater front today.
Tonight it's dinner & a movie with my sister. Her pick this month.
Suzette....we didn't get any snow during the night....only a 30% chance. May you treatment go smoothly. I can hear them clicking of as you come to the end. What color is the pie safe & what are you going to do with it?
Lois....The training is working out already, always better to know some of your coworkers.
Lea....what are you plans for today?
Izzy....that works out well for you, a half day of sewing. Hope mthe meeting goes well. OH I so sorry about Lilmomma. It must be difficult to put them down. I'll check out the links.
Maryz....LOL....I'm not complaining. I love talking to DD1, especially when she in a good upbeat mood. Yesterday one call was 1 1/2 hours. Both of my ears were sore. But I have her to talk too. I'll check my map for Lk Travis....I have heard of it. Mary...if you keep talking about jane I'll have to take out my book. Then who knows what will happen.
Vicky...hopping the Dr has the information you need. We are in the deep freeze for a week with snow on Wed.
Sandy...what a strange place to find you pig fabric....happy you found it..(: I've been seeing Robins all over. They must have had a strong tail wind.
Velda...if there's no threads on you today may there be bits of paper.
Love & Prayers for all in need..............Remember tomorrow is Mymy's surgery....Prayers needed.

Break is over. Time to head back up the mountain and get stuff done. Will hear today about the test that was done Saturday on the upstairs to see if it is cross contaminated. Personally this whole asbestos thing, especially when it's so low, is a bunch of horse s--t. If it was 20% or something, but 3%. No matter what the results, I need to move stuff off the hardwood floor so it can be removed.
Grandkids are eating breakfast and we all need to leave soon.
Prayers to those who need. Hug fabric if you can.

Re: Monday, February 24
Good morning! It’s sunny here, and that makes me happy. We took a long walk yesterday, and I kissed the earth—not intentionally. One minute I was walking and enjoying being out, next thing I was on the ground with my foot tangled in a vine or barbed wire. Nothing was hurt, thankfully.
Suzette—I miss my pie safe. I had a beautiful oak one I got in a yard sale—had it for 40 years. Unfortunately, I can’t get Mom’s; it’s already gone to my niece. Enjoy yours—hope to see a picture!!!
Lois—best wishes at your new training! I always have a hard time finding jeans that fit and that I like. Congratulations!
Scrap—have a great day! Spring should be coming, except we have snow showers later this week.
Izzy—so sorry about Lilmomma. We had that with a cow last year… sigh! Thanks for the links. Hope everything goes well for you today!
MaryZ—no, you can’t have your DD with a defective machine! My DD has two good machines; unfortunately they only get turned on when I go to her house! Does that sound a little familiar?
Vicky—so sorry to hear you are still under the weather—literally and figuratively. I am so ready for WARM, too!
Sandy—Hounds definitely have a voice! Our half rat terrier/half beagle half the hound vocals. Too funny. I miss him. I saw a flock of robins yesterday while we were out walking. Tinker Bell thought she could “tree” them. She’s silly.
Velda—we have the red-wing blackbirds here all winter. They flock with grackles and starlings. Be careful out of the RV park or stay in and create!
Chriss—I remember birthdays at that age… I didn’t make it to my sewing, either. Maybe today…
Judi—That’s my problem with PP, too. Love the raccoon story—they are such scavengers and opportunists.
Kathy—enjoy your sister time! Hope to be able to see your quilts one of these days. They all sound so pretty! I know those AG dolls will be cute in their sweaters.
Lyn—I agree about the asbestos. We lived with the stuff—had stove pads made from it. Had pipes jacketed with it in our houses. Now if you have a house with asbestos siding, you have to have a hazmat company remove it and pay to have it properly disposed of. Or, you can leave it on the house and side over it with vinyl or something. Good luck to you!!!
Enjoy today!

Re: Monday, February 24
The pie safe was unfinished pine. My hubby had bought it for his mom. We couldn't get down to her home when she passed. people were just taking stuff. The will was not handled correctly at all. But, anyway his brother took the pie safe and kept it for hubby. we painted it a soft buttery yellow. I had seen on Pinterest about taking the backing off of a cabinet and put contact paper on it. I bought a roll of black and white filergree and put it on. It looks great. I will post a picture later today

Hi girls. I've been slammed this morning. I read but can't reply to all. Suz - I can't wait to see your pie safe. The results of DH's CT Scan should be in today or tomorrow. Gotta run.
I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Suzette—I will love seeing your pie safe! My late DH made a pine pie safe for my DD. She and I punched the copper panels for it. It looks almost antique. I know what you mean about family and wills and taking stuff. I doubt that I get a thing of Mom’s when the time comes. I will not cart out stuff before—like my sister and her daughter have done.
Cindy—keeping you in my thoughts as you wait for the test results. I have walked in your shoes. At least being busy will help keep your mind off of it... as much as possible.

Good Morning Girls
A Happy Monday to you all! Working late shift all this week, so I have a little time to chat and catch up with y'all.
It's bright and sunny here but 1 BELOW zero!! Checked the traffic cameras in the area and it looks like the roads have improved so it should be an easier drive to work today.
Yesterday I did manage get some uglies done... dusted, scrubbed floors and toilet and started the laundry.. Midway through a load of whites, my Mr. Maytag decided to quit! I'm afraid the motor is burned out so I guess I'll be shopping for a new washing machine this week. Thankfully it happened AFTER all my skivvies were done and the RED fabric for Jen's quilt! I'd really be in tears if I couldn't have gotten that red fabric washed! Checked on line at Home Depot for a new machine... now just to find the time to go get one and have it delivered. Now I KNOW I won't be buying any more fabric for a while!!!
May have to find a Laundromat close by for a while!
Suzette... Would love to see a picture of you pie-safe... I don't think I even know what that is! Only a few more treatment right? Then you're DONE! I've made about 6 more of the pink scarves and I'll take them with me when I get my mammo---as soon as I remember to call and schedule it!
Chickie... No bumps or bruises from your fall? You're lucky you didn't mess up your ankle getting caught!
Lyn... Hope all goes well for you at the house today.
Kathy... I'm going to have to check out knit patterns for the AG dolls. Now that I'm just about done making scarves I might just have to try my hand at sweaters. Need something to do while I watch TV at night!
Judi.... I'd gladly take that rain you're having rather than the snow and cold up here! Can't wait to look out the windows and see buds on the trees. I do hear birds singing out the window this morning, so that is a good sign I guess.
Chriss. Is Mar having a birthday party with her friends? A sleep-over? How many kittens do you think Gopher will have.. New kitties are so cute, I have to admit, but I sure don't want one! The two I have in my house now are driving me nuts!
Velda.. With all that fog this morning.... sounds like a good idea to stay in and play. It's good to have a couple options of things to do, beading, sewing, tolling.... Your bead work is so gorgeous!
Maryz... Hope Aut's machine isn't too badly damaged! Jen has my extra machine, but it only comes out when I'm there! Once a year! I've seen pictures of a DJ quilt... and all I can think is.. You must be CRAZY!
But I can't wait to see pictures of it!!
Izzy... so to hear you lost one of your goats... You don't have to work today? YIPPEE a day to stay home and play. I had grand intentions of working on R & W swap yesterday, but concentrated on Jen's quilt instead. If I was REALLY smart, I'd go down and sewing a little before work in the morning....
Lois.... can you wear jeans to work? Hope you really like your new job... especially closer to home.
Vicky.... This certainly has been a long road for you.. I hope that the Dr's will have some good answers for you today, so that you can start feeling like your old self again soon!
Teresa... Will be thinking about you this morning... hoping the DDS can fix you up good and take away the pain!! Dry socket is NO fun!!
Cindyg.... Lot of prayers for good test results today!!!
Well girls I think I'm going to push self away from computer, run the vac around a little this morning before work. It's the one thing I didn't get done yesterday. Room mate spent the day either in bed or on the couch all day while I was running around doing chores! 35 days and counting... and I still don't know even she's even been looking for a new place. Might be a topic of conversation some time this week. Personally I think she should start packing now!
Wishing you all a most wonderful day

I meant to tell you about Thursday at my treatment. This past Thursday I went to treatment and there was a box with a sign that said help yourself. Inside it were Polar Fleece scarves with the pink breast cancer ribbon. I have no idea who is making them but it was a wonderful gesture.

Re: Monday, February 24
Well back from vet with good news:) Star is a keeper. He thinks she broke leg a while ago cause it has a calcified knot and its not out of socket. Keeping her in pin for month until she gets wt up and is standing on it again. He says she will be fine to breed and go on. I told him she has never favored that let until last week. Goats are resilient he says and tolerate a lot. LOL Now if I broke my leg this girl would be down and out for a while
)
I put her in field with aurora and babies--aurora is so happy to see her momma again:)) She will stay there til DH gets home tonight to help me load her up to her pin:) She is laying in sunshine enjoying the company of lil ones:) They are all about her and too small to buck her around:)Not to mention Aurora is at her side guarding her too. Funny how they remember scent and relatch on that quick:)
Now to the sewing room I go YIPPPEEEE:))
Suzzette how nice of someone to make you all scarves.
Maryq I dont know if I would have the patience you do with roommate. I think I would have done bagged and tagged her by now
Well here is picture of Star and aurora:)
