Re: Saturday 16
Finally warming up a little on the Texas coast.
Sorry to hear that some of you are getting more snow on top of the big bunch you already had.
SHERRY - I'm sorry you have lost your DH, but glad to hear the celebration of his life was nice.
VICKY - I use PB8 Pro-Biotic Acidophilus. Do you use Colloidal Silver, it may help.
We went to Outback, yesterday, with friends for an Anniversary lunch. Too full for dinner, but did run to the Diary Queen for Blizzards.
Wishing everyone a good day and warmer weather.
Lyn

Re: Saturday 16
Good morning.. what a great fun day it will be. today I am taking Mar and one of her friends roller skating. they will be starving when they are done
yesterday we went to 7 thrift stores. I bought a few shirts and a book.. nothing spectacular... my aunt made quite a haul. and I will give her credit.. usually she is a one person show and talks but doesn't listen.. this time she stopped talking enough to actually listen... not much but she did make the effort.
Sherry, how did your closure service go? was it helpful...
Diana, glad you mastered photo bucket... if we had spring any time soon our flowers wouldn't look like yours. ours would be puny with this drought.
Chickie.. I am sorry for all the excitement.. how awful for that little girl to have to see such abuse. hope the man is in jail...as for the down spout I have seen a thick chain put through the hole so the water runs down the chain to the ground..might be easier than removing the gutters?
Kathy, I love a two color quilt.. can't wait to see your black and white quilt...it will be beautiful, what pattern are you using?
Lucie, have DH try some Atkins recipe's.. or even South beach.. only so many carbs a day and it will help his diabetes...and it will have an effect in only two weeks... check out their recipe for mashed potatoes made with cauliflower... you'll be amazed...
Maryq.. how many closets do you have? amazing how fast they can get cluttered... have fun with it.
Tina, what great dad news... huge blessing.
Jana, sounds like you had a super day.. I would love a new kitchen.. sadly it's not going to happen any time soon.. so you will need to post pictures of yours for me to enjoy.
Cindy, how was taco bell? Mar wanted pizza and thankfully Round Table pizza wasn't busy... it was the 4th pizza place I stopped at the other three had people out the door waiting for their order.. ugh.
Karlene.. what a beautiful sweetie pie Miss Harley Beth is.. you make sure you smooch her up good from her Aunt Chriss... oh gosh what a great smile...
Judi has left for her trip.. shall we round up the usual suspects and go on a stash hunting trip?
Leah, enjoy the quilt expo, sounds like lots of fun..looking forward to seeing the treasures you found.
Dolores.. happy food shopping. sounds like DH needs some chicken soup, hope he feels better...
Lois, sorry about your snow... we sure could use it on this end of the map...
Kathy, how long does it take for you to shovel your drive? I guess you really do need to keep it up or it will get the best of you huh?
Vicky.. gosh, you've really been through a lot with this illness.. is there something that could have been done to prevent it or do you just get it if you get it?
Sherry, what a wonderful day for you, and your friends.. your pastor really is over the top wonderful... it makes me smile to see that this wonderful group of caring people got together to celebrate DH's life.. it is so good it is to be you...
Becca, home made bread sounds wonderful...
Maryz, sounds like you should visit Autumn twice a year if only to break that honey do list in half...glad you get to move closer to her, what fun...
Lyn, I love blizzards, I get M&M's on mine...
I need to get dressed and go play in my room for a bit.. I promised to take the girls roller skating today, I also want to get some play time in my room...
hope you all have a super day.

Scrap - so funny that Pitou won't eat where the mouse is. Have a blast at market today!!!! BOING
Dolores - sorry your DH has a cold....poor thing. LOL They always act like they're on death's door. This forum is so quiet because Maryz isn't posting much while she's camping - LOL. We won't tell her I said that, OK?
Lois - I wish I could warm your weather up for you.
Kathy - I'm wondering if you shovel snow even if you aren't going out.
Vicky - are you better? It sounds like it since you are going out today and plan on sewing. I'm so glad.
Sandy - have fun with the grandkids today. LOL about the parrot. Would he understand if you washed his mouth out with soap.
Sherry - I'm glad to hear the service went well yesterday. How old is Pepper? If you are planning to get another dog you might go ahead and do it now so that Pepper can help potty train it. It's so much easier that way. We are having a time with the puppy at the office. She knows she's not suppose to go in the office so when she poops she turns around and starts barking at it. It's like she's trying to tell it to go away because she knows she'll be in trouble when her daddy sees it. It's hilarious.....but then I'm not the one that has to pick it up.
Becca - since you don't have anything to do today I vote that you go shop at your LQS and then start something new.
Well, last night I had to turn on the A/C because it was so stuffy and 75* in the house. Now it's freezing in here this morning. One of my grandsons is suppose to come over today so I should go put some clothes on and brush my teeth. I plan on getting in my sewing hole today. I'm not going to sit on the couch and do my outline stitch until TV time tonight. Our temps will get up to about 72* today and the sun is shining. Perfect.
May we all get to fondle fabric today.

MARYZ - Either you are a fast typist or I'm slow. See you slipped in before I posted. Belated Happy Anniversary to you and DH! Which campground are you in right now? We have friends that take care of one just north of Austin in the summertime, it's on a lake.
LEAH - hope the quilt outing is lots of fun. We will need a full report.

Maryz - what campground will you be going to in Austin? Don't they live on Lake Travis? Is it a campground at that lake? I read what you told Vicky about the cleaning.....would it help to wipe down everything with peroxide? Poor Aut - I was married to someone once that didn't know how to screw in a light bulb (he was just like my daddy) and I didn't know what I was missing until I married Don who can do anything.
Lyn - the weather yesterday was gorgeous, wasn't it? I almost felt sorry for those with all the cold and snow.
Chriss - have fun at the roller rink. Will you skate? It's wonderful exercise. Taco Bell was, well, Taco Bell...but it was filling.

I want to thank all of you for the comments on my paper pieced quilt. The pointy border was a nightmare. one of the guild members sister came up with it. We had no idea what we were making until almost done.
I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Re: Saturday 16
Good morning everyone!
)
Today we are supposed to get to 83*, they said it will break the record of 76* or something in the 70's set back in 2000. The wind will blow from 5 to 20mph, hopefully not too bad. I'm going to the quilt show in a little bit and DH might go play golf with DS, we have to see if he's feeling good this morning, he wasn't last night, headache and tired.
Dad is feeling pretty good
) Mom's been doing some of his chores but he does too many anyways and she could do more then she does so I think it's all good. When she had her aortic anurism (SP) in 2000 and almost died Dad starting really baby-ing her and he took such good care of her, well he also wouldn't let her do anything at all and he took on doing everything and when Mom got better she never started helping so Dad does too much but he says it's all his fault cause he started it LOL.
Sherry, I am glad yesterday was a perfect celebration of your DH's life. I hope Pepper is ok.
Vicky, I hope you get to feeling better.
Leah, have fun!
)
Chriss, sounds like a great day is planned at your house
) enjoy!
Maryz, I'm tired and still have this cough......I think that's why I'm tired, it wears me out. The medicine is helping a little but I want it to be totally gone, I think I'm as sick of this cough as the others are of their snow!
Lynn, you said you had friends with the last name of Jezek? My DH's Mom's maiden name was that and her family was from Sweethome TX, I wonder if it's the same family? He doesn't remember the correct spelling of her last name for sure. I know that her twin mentioned Corpis Cristy (SP) just wondering.
Well I better scoot, gotta start getting ready to go
) I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Re: Saturday 16
Happy Saturday morning everyone!
We had our usual snow last night. Nothing big just a reminder that it is still the snow season. Temps today are still below freezing but with the sunshine, it is really nice.
DELORES- groceries and a drive can still be an adventure. Hope you enjoy the time out!
LOIS - I agree about the snow. ENOUGH ALREADY!
KATHY - I guess snow does not pay attention to regions.
VICKY - Vancomycin is a good med. Isn't it odd how antibiotics can sometimes work and sometimes not? I know it all depends on the disease resistance of the germ, virus, or whatever.
SANDY - Enjoy the grands today. Our little guy came over yesterday. I discovered several things I forgot to put out of his reach.
SHERRY - Your closure service sounded beautiful.
BECCA - Be sure to share some pictures of your table topper.
MARYZ - a full campground means that you have many refugees from the north cold and snow!
LYN - I love DQ Blizzards but I am trying to lose weight and they have just a few too many calories. I do love the turtle nut ones though. YUMMM (Oops - just gained a pound thinking about them.)
MARILYNSGRAMMIE - A confess TIME. These are not my flowers. I get the pictures off the computer at Google. But, thank you for thinking that I have a green thumb. If a plant can survive on neglect, I can grow it.
CINDYG - At this point, I do not believe we will be using the air conditioner for some time. The best we do is to turn off the kerosene heater.
SCRAPPIE48- Enjoy your trip to the show. We are looking forward to your pictures!
TINA - temperatures in the 80's sound wonderful! Of course, when it gets that warm, we will complain about the heat. Enjoy your trip to the quilt show and share any pretties that you see!
KATHYZ - your quilt points look gorgeous! I only hope that sometime I can do work that nice.
Well, time to quit playing on this thing and doing something useful. I am try posting some pictures of the baby blankets that I have made for great-grandbabies and cousin's babies.

Hi, all, from the only state without snow (sorry, had to get that in, it is cold here, tho).
Sherry, so sorry for your loss, and glad all went well. Mom's memorial will be Aug. second in NH, so watch out everyone, Cindy will be traveling again (probably flying)!
Glad to see there are signs of spring, this has been a tough winter, for sure!
Everyone, except DD and BF have flown north, and I'm finally getting a day semi-to my self, DH is here, so I'm sewing!

Re: Saturday 16
Good early afternoon from semi sunny, snowy, SW. Pa...The "dusting" that was predicted has come, stayed awhile and left about 3 inches of that nice white stuff....Getting to be a little much, don't you think????
But, tomorrow is my day...Hopefully, I'll be on that plane headed for snowless, warm, sunny, Florida...Well, let's just say, with the "dusting" that is predicted for morning, we're able to get to the airport.....
I've been thinking of Judi, hoping and praying she and Ken are well on their way and having no problems....
Chriss, you are special, taking your aunt shopping and today, taking the girls skating...AND if you decide to come this way to raid my stash, Jim would probably hold the door....AND if you bring him a goodie, he'll even carry it to the car..Today is his birthday and he's having a ball going through all the cards and getting his own personal phone calls.....If he behaves himself, I might let him take me out to dinner tonight.....
Well, I do need to run...I'm trying to get the house in order, bed changed, laundry done and baked a couple loaves of banana/nut bread...I need to have a bunch of goodies in the freezer for you know who....
Might not be able to post, Gin's "puter" is very old but I'll try to get to the Library and use their's....I'll also make sure Sunbonnet Sue has a good time in the sun....
You all try to behave yourselves while I'm gone......
Will certainly keep you all in my prayers.....
Have a great day.................
