Good Morning to all you quilters.Cold & cloudy.

CINDY I have got meds different & I call immediately.Never hurts to call & be safe.

IZZY My DGD gets baby chicks mailed to her.Do not think goat would work.LOL

LYN & VELDA That shop hop sounds like a real treat.Glad you got to go.

VICKY Hope you soon have lots of energy. My sinuses drag me down like that.

CHICKIE Any kind of soup is great in this cold weather.I made rug mugs & knitted bedroom shoes for the lady who broke hip.We make the lap quilts at Church & I know she has one so I did not go that route.

MARYq Hope you get to sew & roommate soon is out of picture.

Today is my ACC Ball game. And I will knit some more bedroom shoes while watching.
Prayers to all those suffering & going thur trials....Becca

Good Sunny Morning......

HAPPY HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY HEATH!!!!!!

I never made it here yesterday...the computer froze & I turned it off!!
I need a new one I guess.

After this I need to shower & get ready for the knitting class. I need to ask did anyone watch the Olympic opening? Are my ears whacked out, the music was loud & I had difficulty hearing the commentary. Did anyone else notice it. It was a beautiful show.

Sooz......I'd be interested in the AB swap.

Suzette.....how sad. I've yet to hear from my bff son about the baby quilt. Four baby quilts to her children no thank you. If an other baby..no quilt. Good thing they had to sign for the last 2.

Love & Prayers to all..............Kathy

Good morning... it's a bit rainy here.. thanks for sending that weather our way... keep it up, we aren't quite soggy enough...we will take it all.

been going through my cookbooks.. my grandma used to help make a cookbook for the Soroptimist club and they are thinking of making another one.. I have all the old recipe's that Grandma used so we will see if they want them... we have a tote full and more of cookbooks and rarely use them...

Cindy.. hope you have a great weekend camping... I am not an olympic watcher... hope we hear about DH soon.. I hate waiting.

Chickie... Tinkerbell doesn't mind the cold because of that fur coat.. did you see the fur coat that Joe Namoth wore for the superbowl coin toss.. that was a pimp coat for sure.. glad your chickens can scratch themselves and see what they are eating...

Maryq.. maybe you could hand your roomie the newspaper with some choice rentals circled??? time will pass quickly...

Karlene, what will you make for Elizabeth's birthday dinner... my grandma used to make me fried chicken and for dessert it was peach cobbler.. I sure miss that....

Lyn, sounds like a successful shopping trip.. I am eager to see the fabric and what you make with it.

Velda, shop hops are so much fun.. I love them...

Sharon, what fun to go to the circus.. let me know how the kids like it..Marilyn would not care much for the clowns.. she was made to watch some pretty scarry clown movies as a kid...

Dolores.. save those red fabrics.. when the birdhouse swap is over I will post a two color swap. red with white on white... quilters choice... so you'll also need to pick a 12 inch block you love that will work in two colors.. I love red...

Suzette... March 6th.. that is coming up very quickly... seems like it took forever for the treatments to start then poof, they are almost done... sorry about the step daughter.

my plan is to re-do my mystery blocks from last month.. I am not happy with my color combo. then cut out fabric for this months.. I have a tote of cook books to go through.. and sooner or later Marilyn and her friend will wake up.

odd think about her friend.. she is extremely picky.. her mom brought her a box of cereal so she'd have something she liked... how do people let their kids not eat real food? I remember things I didn't like as a kid but many more things I did like...how do you not sit at the dinner table and not like something that is served.... it is just odd.

anyway, off I go

Good late morning. Didnt get here yesterday. I actually worked LOL well I went and sat in meetings and did paperwork. Fridays are kept for that no kids and therapy on that day LOL Then came home and had family pizza night and chilled with DD and DH. This morning more time with DH and coffee. Dont see each other much now that he has went back to work. He is out in cold doing barbwire fencing and clearing woods. Best time less growth :) snowing again. They are calling for 2 to 3 more inches by tomorrow. Then again on wed and thurs. YUK.

I will go check out swaps and other posts. I read yesterdays and this mornings. Shame I dont have shrink ray those goats would love to travel LOL

I have my idea for vickys hands quilt cant wait to start on it:)
got all my blocks cut for the wedding quilt plan to sew it. Its a scarp pattern and I just incorporated reds and blacks into it. It has a 4 patch and half triangle blocks and solid blocks. I think it will look ok. These kids I am afraid wont take care of a really fancy quilt and THis way they can use it and wash it and be ok.

Suzzette I hear you on family issues. My brothers family is that way never say thanks and never acknowledge gifts. Drives my parents crazy. i just quit sending anything. I have 3 nephews and niece and One just got married and didnt even send us invite LOL their loss not mine:)
Could have got a nice quilt LOL

Well going to sew a bit. You all take care. Prayers out to those in need.

God bless and happy thoughts

Good morning!

As soon as they deliver the wood for our floors, we’re out the door, headed up to Greeley to watch a DGD play basketball. I sure hope the furnace guy takes off his skirt and shows up next week to put the heat in out in the garage! I am going through severe withdrawals caused by non-contact with fabric.

Something very bizarre and sad happened yesterday. My childhood best friend’s son kidnapped his wife and MIL, killed them both and then got into a shoot-out with police and is dead as well. I hadn’t seen him since he was 18 months old, and of course never in a million years would I thought of this happening. So very sad for the women’s families, and I also think of how Jolene (my friend) must feel now. He was her only child. Sure makes one contemplate life.

On a happier note, I have some daffodils coming up. I hope the deep freeze didn’t damage all of them. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

Good morning :-)
We had a really great time with Mary, Bill and Scottie last night! Duncan made a new friend and is missing him this morning. We're going with DD this morning grocery shopping, think I'll just stay in the car so I don't get into breathing and coughing trouble. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Good morning!

Been out and running already - got groceries, the freezer stuff back from Sarah's and the Ward Bulletin printed and folded for Church tomorrow - I am home for the rest of the day! Also borrowed my "sherpa" - aka, Stu, to help bring all the freezer stuff back down to the basement. He is such a good help! DH is taking him back up to his house now. I still need to feed DH - guess that I will call it brunch! LOL

Got the birds started on the birdhouse blocks - takes a little bit of paying attention to, to get them in the right place to be embroidered. Then on to the labeling and mailing them off.

We are getting rain today - melting off some of the snow, but later this afternoon, it will turn back into snow.

FIL still has an infection - they just can't seem to knock it out - running a fever again last night - so antibiotics are on again - at least he is home still.

Well I need to get stuff done around here - some uglies and then I can sew!

Do something fun!
Hugs
