Almost time for bed, thankfully... I am beat. Haven't posted much, work has been kicking my butt!

Teresa- are you the Teresa Eleanor talks about in the Mystery video??? Did you make the wall hanging of the first Mystery block? I signed up for the February Lotto- sounds like fun! My weekend plans are... (drumroll, please!!) Picking up my new-to-me sewing machine! A friend of a friend bought a new machine at R2C and sold me her Viking Lily for $250. My tired old Singer was top of the line in her glory days but those days are over...lol. She needs a rest for sure.

Izzy- sounds like you will have aa wonderful sewing weekend. Post a pic of your sewing table with all of your goodies!!! My Mystery Blocks are almost done and tomorrow I will shop for the Lotto fabric. Have to break in that new machine!

scrapquilter48- a 3 hr ride for a sewing foot! Poor dear! Sounds like you should start ordering online! What a great surprise package! I hope you enjoy you wine cooler and tropical jammie days!

womster-I love how this group is like a family... I am glad I found you!

karpet- I am from western NY and my family is still there. My son called tonight and was so grateful the weather had broken. It has been horrible there...I don't miss it a bit!

auntjana- I hope you enjoyed your sewing time. I try so hard to fit it in on my days off but there is always something else to be done.

FarmChick- I read this line twice... "My chickens are still waiting on eyes and feet" and finally realized that you meant your blocks...lol. I look forward to all the quilt shows on Saturday too. I record them and savor them all week.

cindyg- make sure you post pics of those painted ladies (machines). I wanna see!

purrfectlady- Glad you go in some heavenly sewing time. It does wonders for the soul, doesn't it? Hoping for safe travels for your brother.

lucieshouse- I don't have grandchildren yet but get worn out just thinking about chasing a little one around again! So sorry about your poor dear Dad... dementia is a horrific disease. I have worked in the field for years and have experienced it in my own family... HUGS! It just sucks (pardon my language).

Quiltgram- my condolences, your nephew was so young. A sudden loss like that is so hard to take. HUGS!

Marilynsgrammy- It drizzled on and off in Irvine... I think I am going to miss the good old thunderstorms in NY- just not the snow!

KATHYSQUILTS- please don't let your laundry be the highlight of your day... turn up the radio and sing or dance a couple of steps... laundry? ugh!!! My mother loves redwork..I don't seem to have the patience to stick wth it. I will have to post pics of the redwork tablecloth she made me just because I admired it in a magazine.

Becca- Must be universal laundry day... I should start mine too!

grammiequilts- Mail that old ratty carhart to one of us and we can burn it! LOL

Suzette- so scary to have a fire burning that close... I would say something to the parents.

momof6quilts- I am thinking about the challenge... just don't want to bite off more than I can chew!

kenderosa- please thank your son for his service to our country... so very proud of him!

mepiece2- 120 ft driveway??? Ugh..I would be in til the spring thaw!

Jules- HUGS... be good to yourself during this horrible time.

Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Sooz....ZZzzzzzzz

Good Morning Girls

Just a quick hello for now. I'm headed into town for my semi-annual over-haul at the beauty shop. Hair cut and some added blonde to camouflage the gray! When I get home, it's UGLIES time (but at least I will look good LOL) and perhaps a little sewing. Gotta make some head way on my bird houses and try a Winning Hand Lotto Block!

So many of you to catch up with, but I promised I'll be back later to chat with you all!

Waiting on new part to fix my washer, never thought I would be anxious to do laundry. The Post Office messed up. I only get mail to my PO BOX, that's the way it is yo here, and processed it 25 minutes after post office closed. GRRRRR.

Good morning,
Just waiting on the timer to beep with my fresh bakedcranberry muffins. They smell yummy already! Join me, I have cold milk to go with them.

Got almost half of my birdhouses stitched down. They will need to have the bird embroired to them, but the machine does that and I can do other things at the same time.

Tonight is Stake Conference meeting forChurch and then tomorrow too.

Tomorrow is the biggame, sorry Maryz, butyour Seahawks, aka Seachickens, are going down! GO BRONCOS!

Timer is beeping - food!
Hugs
Jana

Good afternoon from still snow covered but slowly melting, SW. Pa...It is getting warmer but of course we'll be getting more winter....AND I know you all will be anxiously awaiting for our famous ground hog, Phil, to make his prediction, right???? I keep thinking, one of these years, someone is going to shoot him!

Today is a semi ugly day....We did the laundry and most heavy cleaning yesterday and just need to run the vacuum today and then I can play in my room...I have a mess in my sewing room with my suitcases, hopefully I'll be able to find the machine....

Jules and Velda, my heart goes out to each of you...There are really no words to help fill that void...Just know, many, many prayers are being sent for each of you and your families.....

Scrap48, I like your plans for a cold winter day..I'd love to join you with one of those wine coolers.....And how nice to get a gift, good for you...And I also hear you about "families"..But, you know what they say, about picking your family.......

Suzette, Sounds like you really had a good day yesterday....And to have a quilt shop so close, wow...I sure hope the weather cooperates with you and then could you send some of the warmth this way....

Well, I need to get that vacuuming done before the fur-kids decide to take their nap...Certainly wouldn't want to disturb sleeping cats.....

You all have a great day, stay warm, stay safe.....
Dorothy

Ground hog day tomorrow? Spring now or later?

Someone asked RE: gifts, how? I promoted the xblock ruler and book, to quild members, demo, show/tell, donation committee, sold a few at yard sale and craft boutique on commission. Walked around vendor tables, telling shoppers about this/that referral type. Sent photos of my quilts to author, designer, and welcomed her to publish in her next book if she wished. And if she had other products I willingly would mention at our guild meetings. Vendors "I knew you would come, so I ordered this ruler." Known to vendors.

Done for Quilt in a Day books, Marathon Threads, Stabilizer Companies, it's free advertisemts for the companies. I get something out of it! I'm thrilled. Mine you I am very outspoken, and not shy about asking a quilt stranger, "you buying me coffee, in exchange for keeping your place in line." Join in at restaurant if empty chair next to quilt strangers and cut in front of long long lineup...

Sometimes I bring another with me, a little acting doesn't hurt anyone. Fun, Fun! I've shovel snow path for quild ladies, and it got me in the door before everyone else... Sneeky is how it happens. Wait for the opportunity..

Good morning!

It's snowing here - AGAIN - and the weather people say we will be getting more snow every day for the next week. Oh well, we need the moisture. I bet the furnace guy won't come out and work in the cold, so that delays us by another week. I can't sew until we're out in our respective spaces. I think I'm going through withdrawls.

Miriam - sorry but I think all this yucko weather is headed straight your way.

Jules and Velda - my heart aches for you and your families.

Jana - I'll be right over for the muffins.

Drat there goes the buzzer for the oven - I can't wait till things get back to normal!

xoxo Sharona

Good Afternoon all! Just a quick stop in. It is 1 o'clock and I still haven't gotten dressed. Think this is going to be a not very productive day. It snowed here this morning in NW Ohio and now it is raining. This has been the weirdest weather. Next week it is supposed to storm again and then get cold. Spring can't get here fast enough for me.

Well, going to go get dressed and see what happens. I will be back later to read all of the messages. Prayers for all who need them.

GO Broncos!!!

Sherry
