Good frosty morning to you all. Up and at it this morning. I plan to take down tree and give it to the goats. They love cedar:)

I have upstairs decluttered LOL: 3 elves 1 grinch and nativity put away. hahaha

Now for tree. I am carrying all the presents upstairs to designated rooms. Mostly clothes that we needed you know the basice socks undies jamies stuff LOL

I got new pair of boots that are too small I plan to donate to school shoe bin. I ordered them and they were not much so I am sure some young big footed gal at school could use them:) I will get me another pair. This is why I dont normally order shoes. Wierd feet of mine.

I have 100 4 patches to iron today LOL. I also have to cut blue blocks for my clue 5 today. I did pull some solids for lotto so want to work on that too.

Oh my I better get off here if I am to get all this accomplished.

Sharona sorry about loss. Even harder at this time of year too.

Vicky your not old your young and always think that:))))

Shirley mae happy unpacking. OOHHH I hated that part of the move deciding how to set up new kitchen, where to put stuff YUK. Have fun I say set up sewing room first THEN you can take breaks when needed to gain your sanity back :)))

Happy sewing to all.

God Bless and Happy thoughts.

Good Morning Everyone!
Sharona - So sorry for your loss.

Kathy - You sound so much happier about this visit to your DD. Your plans sound like you will have fun with her. So glad to hear she is better.

Suzette - Yes, without interruptions it is amazing how much we can get done. It is nice to have DH come and check on you though.

Jules - Hope you get lots of sewing time in.

Tess - Have a good day sewing! I am like you, if I get to sleep until six it is a good day.

Dolores - Have fun at the Birthday Celebration. Happy Birthday to Joe!

Maryz - Ohh, choosing fabric for the next quilting project. I have way too many projects that need quilting. I marked a quilt yesterday and will be basting today.

Judy - So good to see family you haven't seen in a while. I remember my parents said the only time they saw relatives was at a funeral. Now, my generation is saying it. Enjoy the visit! I will be going to the gym this morning too, I missed going yesterday.

Vicky - You wouldn't be you without your children to mark the time. Be glad you are there to celebrate each birthday with them.

Shirley Mae - Glad your family is so happy to see you. You deserve such a wonderful welcome to your new home. Those DGK definitely had a motive for giving the grill. Too funny!

Becca - We are with you about going out. We will probably go to a movie though. We will be home early.

Need to get breakfast and go to the gym. DH is just getting up.

Have a wonderful day!
Carol

Good morning. today all three of us have our eye doctor appt.. yes, on Saturday... afterwards I have some sewing plans and am going to hole up in my room and no one can stop me....

Kathy, wow, 9 months to go from helpless to being a full blown person.. sounds like she was re-born... I am so thrilled that she is doing so well... God did a great job of putting the right people in her life.. give her a hug with a double squeeze from me.

Chickie, you're thawed and you now have warm pants.. can it get any better than that?

Jana, we use the glue traps with a little peanut butter in the center for the mice...just don't get your fingers stuck in it... maybe your cat is like the cat in Cinderella, only plays with the mice when you're not looking? hope you catch it.

Izzy, I have so many different rulers.. and thankfully I saved the directions for each. some of them I rarely touch...I will have to see what an easy angle ruler is.

Teresa, wow, a baby for Christmas... it's good to be you... don't forget my smooch rule...

O'Dorothy, sorry the boys didn't get to go skiing. but it sounds like you are enjoying having them there...even though the washer is getting overworked.

Sharona, I am sorry about the passing of your favorite aunt.. prayers to you and yours.

Jules, I think we need to come up with a scavanger hunt for our DH's... maybe send them here and there looking for this and that, we could keep them busy for hours trying to find something silly like the sesame seeds for the top of the hamburger buns... or some other silly thing.. what project are you working on?

Suzette, my DH also comes into my sewing room just to chat..

Tess, that Bonnie Hunter has caught my attention too... there is also this sew along that keeps me checking back... http://fatquartershop.blogspot.com/p/qu ... -tour.html

Dolores, happy birthday to Joe..sounds like his day will be wonderful.

Maryz.. so many things to plan for such a long trip.. do you have a master list to check off? how do you not forget what to bring?

Judi, sounds like you will have a great family get together..

Vicky, you are doing my favorite kind of snowman building.. your fingers won't freeze.

ShirleyMae, sounds like you had a wonderful blessing.. both your brother and sister.. gosh it must have been fun to be at yoru house... and also glad you had a full house for Christmas.. you mark me down for chocolate chip pancakes too... what a blessing to be you.

Becca, we don't go out for New Years either.. too many drunks out there. my dad;s b-day is on NYEve so we will bring him a gift and stay home...

Kathy, I love that Kim has so many plans for you when you get there.. I am just thrilled with her progress.. she is a fighter...

Carol, glad you checked in.. Imiss you... hope you had a great Christmas...

we saw on the news last night how some places on the east coast have no power because of the snow... so why don't they bury the power lines and keep them from freezing? I really would like to know the answer to that one.

well, I had best hit the shower and wake sleeping beauty. we need to eat breakfast before leaving for our appt.

you all have the best day ever...

Good early afternoon from a very sunny, getting warmer (48), SW. Pa.....We're having a heat wave but I'm sure it won't last long.....

Today will be another busy day....Terry and Stephan will be putting up the new medicine cabinet, Nicky and I are going shopping....He told me, he needs jeans and underwear, lol.....And Jim, he will be glued to the TV watching, Notre Dame play in a bowl game......Always a fun filled day.......

In reading all the posts, there's a lot going on with you gals.....But, it's always good to be busy, isn't it?

Chriss, sure hope you get to spend lots of time in your room...I can't even get in the door to mine, lol...After I "get rid" of these fellows, I might find my machine....(I am really going to have a hard time letting them go)...When Terry left for college, I couldn't go in his room for 3 weeks.....You had asked about the underground wires...The new developments that are going in, the wires are being put under but the majority is still up in the air...And it is a concern when we get high winds, heavy snow and ice storms.....

Well, Nicky is getting ready to go spend more of my money so I'd better get moving.....

You all have a great day...............

Good morning!

Chriss - like Dorothy said - all the new developments here in Utah have underground services - phone, cable and power. It has been that way here in Utah for the last 30 years. We have high winds that blow down the canyons and are so strong that they have blown freight trains over and off the tracks! We only lose our power here when a lightning bolt hits the sub station or the construction workers cut the line! The last is the most common!

Cold here - but my snow is slowly disappearing - I can see the grass peaking out from under the snow in the backyard - we had over a foot back there last week.

Christmas will stay up until after New Year's Day - then we will put it away - I don't have to worry about the tree drying out either - both are fake! LOL

Still trying to decide on a new quilt to make - I have some fabric for one - might start it - but I am auditioning others!

Have a great day!
Hugs,
Jana

Tea Break

A good hot cup is what I need. My DD2 gave me my DGS's baby quilt back it needs new binding. So I put that on & I'll do the hand sewing at DD1's. I'd say DGS loved the binding off. I'm working on the laundry & packing. I'll be leaving here at 7am for the 9am ferry. I should be at my DD's about 12:30 & that includes a stop at my favorite Potters.

Carol.....I'm so happy to see my DD but still don't want to sleep on the awful cot or see the ex. Just going to think about the fun.

Chriss...I feel like God put her together twice!! I can't ask more than that. She knows all about the prayers & love from the wonderful group. I see where northern Maine & southern Canada have many with out power. Hope the all have friends.

Irish.....our 1" snow has melted where the sun is. Hope you find all the jean & underwear Nicky needs.

Jana....I think all utilities should be underground. Happy quilting!!

I need to fold the laundry......Kathy

Just sitting here - well sort of - my favorite office chair that swivels and such just broke - I am sitting very quietly, because when I get up - the chair is toast! At least I am not on the ground yet! DH is taking me out in a few minutes to go and buy me a new one - can't sew without a chair!

Sheesh!
