Our church was canceled today, lots of snow but we still could have had it. It's ok I needed a day at home.
Emily and I ran to Target to take back the digital picture frame I bought my dad... I couldn't find the recipe and they wouldn't take it back. I was a little bit upset. I have one and I love it but this one scrolls too slowly and distorts the pictures, it's also not too user friendly. Well, I got back home, packed it up and ready to send tomorrow. I can't buy another one and he will just have to figure it out. I put the memory card in an envelope explaining it as much as I can and told him to ask my step brother to get it working for him. We almost always buy them gift cards for restaurants, it kind of doesn't make since, he sends me money for Christmas and I turn around and send him gift card with it.

I may work some in the sewing room today. I have my Sylvia blocks to do.

Suzette I feel so bad for the friend that is homeless. It is cold to be on the street.

Good afternoon from cold, snowy (but not as bad as Kathy's snow), SW. Pa.....We get a little snow, it clears up and then we get some more....As they say on Duck Dynasty, Happy, Happy, Happy, But I'm Not!

And speaking of duck Dynasty, does anyone watch it? I heard the kids talking about it and decided to watch and now I'm kind of hooked...But, then my choice of TV shows is weird, as the family will all attest too......But, I have really gotten some good laughs out of this silly show.............

We went to early Mass and then right back home...Only half of the group was at church and we decided, no breakfast this morning...The only thing I've accomplished so far was reading the paper and staying awake...That's a huge feat in this household.....But, I hope to finish the cards and also try to figure out the rest of the gift list....

I had a text from Kathy's oldest DD, Jackie...She and a couple of her gal friends went to Disney for the weekend and yesterday they were picked to be the grand marshalls of the parade..This is a gal who absolutely loves everything about Disney...I told her she should be working there....Last weekend, her fellow friend surprised her with a trip to Disneyland in California...I told her she doesn't let her luggage cool off...She turned 27 last week and said the kids in her room had a big party for her...She might be 27 but she'll always be a kid at heart....She teaches special kids and she is indeed special.....

Judi, Was Ken's special day yesterday or is it today? No matter how old they get, I think they always like a party....I'm sure you didn't like the outcome of the hockey game last night....I do like hockey but get too nervous...What I don't like is when it turns ugly and that seems to be happening too much lately....

Our Steelers are playing tonight...It's really been a bad year for them...I'm sure there is no way they'll make it to the playoffs but now they're trying to make it rough for Joanne's team, the Bengals.....Also, Survivor final is on tonight....I just hope I can stay awake for all this excitement......

Suzette, so sorry to hear about the homeless friend...So sad, will be hoping and praying she finds a warm home...On these cold days/nights, more and more shelters are being opened in this area...This shouldn't be happening in this country!

Mel, also sorry to hear you're not feeling up to par...I'd love to get a poinsettia but my furbabies attack any type of plant...Just yesterday, I was trying to water my hanging plants and "BabyGirl" was up on the chair trying to get at it.....

We'll better get moving, cards aren't going to get done by themselves.....

You all have a good day.............

We went and watched my brother for a little while. It was cold. This is my younger brother Jesse. He is a retired Arlington County firefighter. Enjoy

Dorothy - I love Duck Dynasty. If you can catch the episode where Willy takes his 2 older kids to the dentist to get their wisdom teeth pulled, you have got to watch it. I laughed till I cried. Plus their Christmas show was awesome also.

Suzette, I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a good laugh at/with that show.....
I did get to see parts of the dentist show but will have to catch it again....And their Christmas show was great...Did you see when Willie took them all to Hawaii?? What I can't understand, with all the money they have made, look at the tiny house the parents live in and "that recliner"???? But, I do love when they end the show with them around the table beginning with a prayer.....Happy, Happy, Happy.......
