Good Sunny Windy Morning....

Well today's my last day home before my trip to TX turkey. I'll have to get up at 2am so I'm not even sure I'll go to bed tonight. I usually go to bed about 11:30. The shuttle is coming at 3:15. I'll be ready. Today I'll finish packing, a few uglies & sewing.

Suzette....I'm happy to see you are responding well to you surgery. Even if you thought there were two 22ed's this month. Have a great day Quilting...

Lois....just the words warehouse & fabric sound so good together. It it good place? Or is it like the $1:99 fabric store, very little quilting cotton & of that very little is any good. Keep warm!

Izzy.....I'm sorry you are having a difficult time with your goats this year. That little Miracle is a fighter.. I hope she takes to Peanut.

Becca.....don't we all have a few "favorites" we never want to make again. Hope you get your runner done on time.

Sue....What warm cloths!!!! I'm packing short sleeve & a jacket. What's cold?? It's 18' here now. Enjoy that coffee

Mel....Oh those leg cramps are a real pain. I popped out of bed last week with one. Glad you worked it out.

Vel....you are making good progress on your runners. I'm glad they are popular now the make wonderful gifts.

Maryz....Your Scottie made me laugh this morning. Fussing over the ceramic cat. Sorry you have to clean....hurry up!

Love & Prayers.....Kathy

Just a goat farm update: Miracle nursed on Peanut:)) I put her back with her momma a brother for now. I will try her again with Peanut later. Momma nestled her and cleaned her face. Momma is a good goat. I have to go back down at 10 with bottle. I am hopeing I see her nurse on momma too. We will see. She was nestling with her brother when I left the barn.

Chilly chilly had to bust ice in buckets. Give all the mommas hay this morning already. Munch city down there now:)

Off to sew a bit now that baby not in my living room. Here is the site to see what a goat sweater corchet looks like. I will post pic of mine when done:)

Good morning... today will be a fun day... we will go to breakfast, church then to buy new mini blinds for the kitchen... we might even need to hit the grocery store...

Marilyn and I had a fun shopping day yesterday... only a few tiffs because I wouldn't let her have something she wanted.. and during a tiff she held up a shirt that said "count your blessings" she got that shirt but not the other trampy one she saw... we were at a store called Forever21. they have a clearance area where things are half off the clearance price... I expected to spend $50 and spent $25 so we went back and got the leather vest in a bright teal blue color...

we still need to shop for new pants then will be done...we spent an entire 10 hour day shopping and eating.. and talking... it really was fun..

Sue, how cool to be Gage, I bet he's excited..hope the race is in his favor.

Tina, I was tired after shopping too... my heels ached.... I really need to move my body more, I am such a slug. I love that Jaz gets to spend the night with you often.. what fun to be her and get to have grandma's attention all to your self...

Scrappy Pat, hope the b-day party was fun.. how old is DGGD?

Sharona, how exciting for the wood to arrive.. and to have the building built so quickly.. it is exciting isn't it...

Judi, sorry your kids have to put up with so much from the inlaws.. too bad they can't find a small place and get them moved into it and have their lives back.. hope it all happens soon...

Suzette, sounds like you had a great yesterday.. and dinner too... what wonderful neighbors...my SS package has already been sent but I chew my nails waiting to hear if it got there... I think waiting to hear is the hardest thing..lol

Lois.. glad the store wasn't too busy...glad you found some treasures...

Izzy, glad to hear Miracle is thriving... Miracles should thrive during the holiday season.

Becca... let me just say BRRRRRRR... glad your quilt's are coming along.. I hope to sew this afternoon too.

Mel, Jerry used to get those leg cramps all the time..if you have a free afternoon come on over here and we will have a sewing session.

Velda, 1 7/8" squares don't sound fun...lol...I was looking at my patterns and books and stuff and have almost decided I don't need to keep anything with pieces under 2 1/2 inches...lol... but havne't convinced myself to get rid of them yet...

Maryz.. boy that Scottie is a very smart dog to notice the imposter fake cat as opposed to the real looking fake cats... he deserves a belly rub for that..

Judi, sounds like a fun day for you...any day that starts with breakfast out is a good day...

Kathy, it is wonderful to be you... tomorrow you will be leaving lip prints all over the faces of those grands... gosh what fun..sneak in a smooch from me...

and now I need a shower and to get ready for breakfast and church... I love Sunday's...

you all have a super day

Good morning!

Suzette - I didn't even notice about the dates. I'm so glad you had such a lovely visit with your DSILs. How sweet of your neighbor to bring you over supper!

Lois - your day yesterday sounds ideal. Glad you were able to get out.

Izzy - such wonderful news about Miracle. I love the goat sweaters!

Becca - how wonderful that your DGS received his package. I've had patterns like that also.

Sue - every time I see your name I think of your pecan coffee. Can't wait to see the quilt you're making for your son.

Mel - I hope you were able to get a wee bit more sleep. Those leg cramps can be vicious!

Vel - I bet it is easier to use those big tables. Oh my - those squares sound itty bitty! I think I'd need a magnifying glass to see them.

Maryz - oh that Scottie. I bet the reason he's barking is all the deep cleaning you did in there. We need an updated picture, as I'm sure he's grown a bunch since the last one.

Tina - enjoy your white stuff.

Judi - oh my you were tired last night! Maybe Ken carried you to bed. Have fun with your sis today. Your DH is so sweet to humor your DBIL like he does.

Kathy - will you take a nap? I got tired just reading about what time the shuttle is showing up. I tip them $5 since they have to schlep my huge suitcases on and off. Will we see you when you're down in Texas? If not, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Chriss - sounds like y'all had a wonderful girls' day yesterday, even with the tiff. I hope it doesn't take another ten hours to get the pants...!

We just got back from church. The pastor's son (I can't remember if I told y'all this or not) is finally out of ICU. He'd been there almost a month with encephalitis. He's now at Craig Hospital for rehab so he can relearn everything (how to eat, walk, talk, read, etc). Quite an emotional service. Now I'm on to make a few more things for my SS and then mail it out. Plus clean up a bit before SD and family arrive on Thursday. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

Afternoon everyone.
I have now brought my Secret Santa project inside. Perfect to do while watching football with my hubby. I don't know if I mentioned this or not but, I have had a reaction to the tape they put over my bandage. I had to take it off last night before I was supposed to. I have a red, bubbly rash in the exact shape of the adhesive. I have never done that before. Our bodies change as we get older I guess. Off to start on the binding on my gift. Have a great rest of the day.

Suzette - I had the same reaction to adhesive after my first breast biopsy. I don't have a problem with band aides on skin that is exposed, but anywhere else I get those same bumps. Be sure to let them know you had a reaction to it. I have a scar from that reaction, but hardly a mark from the biopsy! And boy did it burn and itch...

Good afternoon from partly sunny but bitter cold, Sw. Pa...We did have a dusting last night but it's mostly blown away today....But, it's too darn cold for me....I make sure Jim knows how I hate the cold and would be so happy if we were in our own little place in Florida, right now, instead of trying to stay warm up here....

We went to early Mass and then onto breakfast with our friends..Then we had to stop at Aldi's, only needed 2 things and came out with a buggy full.....I don't know how 2 people need so much......

So far we're having a good weekend...Notre Dame won yesterday and the Steelers are leading (at the moment)...Of course our Penguins went down last night but they'll bounce back....

Chriss, so glad you had a good day with Mar....Our girls loved shopping at Forever21...Just wait until she wants to shop at Victoria Secret.....That's when the fun begins! We still laugh at Kathy's ex saying the reason their marriage fell apart was because she started shopping there?????I guess he didn't know, it was the girl's idea that she shop there.....

Suzette, from your posting, you sound like you've bounced back from having surgery.....It seems so many people are allergic to that tape....Just don't over do.....

Maryz, isn't it a good feeling knowing that if any weird ceramic cats break into your house, Scottie will let you know....Our furbabies are a constant source of entertainment (when they're not sleeping)....Jim liked Bill's answer about your Toilet Day gift and also wished you a happy birthday as he ate your cake......

Izzy, happy to hear the babies are doing well...I don't know how you keep up with all you do....Those little sweaters are gorgeous....

Kathy, safe trip....You're doing a great thing on Thanksgiving.....

Well, I best get off this machine and see if the Steelers need me.....

You all have a great day....Stay warm and safe.....

Some of you asked about the itty bitty squares that we will use on our Santa wall hanging. Lyn is leading us on this one. She explained it a little to me, that the tiny squares are laid on a special grid and pressed to hold in place, then a whole row is stitched at one time. It sounds pretty simple. Lyn made a few last winter and the finished project is so very cute. We will post some pictures later when our group gets started on the project.

Lyn has our kits on order, and as soon as they come in, we will be getting started, I'm sure.

I finished piecing Table Runner two, today. So tomorrow, I start the last one. Then I have to get the batting and the backing cut and go on to the quilting and finishing. yippee!!!!
