Good morning.. busy busy today....I am so considering going to a garage sale that says it has quilt stuff but I have always been dissappointed when going to quilt garage sales and am thinking of not going... it's hard to be me...lol... we also have a soccer game today and tomorrow is the book sale in San Francisco.. Maryq.. not sure Cindy could take us both in at once if we met in Houston..and rowdy as we are we'd likely get kicked out of the hotel...
Jana.. aargh, snow....
Jules, love the kids and love the house.. how completly wonderful to be them.
CArole, I want the calendar book... what's it called... your block was so so cute.
so sorry, I am out of time.. I need to get a move on... hope you all have a fun filled day....

Good Morning...
Sunny Again today! It uglies day for me. I had a nice day shopping & finally connecting with my sister. The "That $1.99 Fabric Store" (yes that's is name)sells a lot of junk & seconds fabric. I always unwrap the amount I want & look at it. I also only buy brands I know. In the cotton section I think 80% is no good for quilting. It carries all sorts of fabric. I found 7 yds I liked & got 2yds each, 3 foral that go together & 4 shirting prints. I am very happy! Fabric is a good thing.
Morning Vicky!
Jules....what a lovely house. I love brick. I hope you remember not to do too much and tax your breathing. Can't wait to see the cushions.
Suzette....that art center sounds like a wonderful place to shop for a b'day present. Good luck.
Lois....happy you found you hexes. I'm seeing them in all the quilt catalogs.
Maryz...WOW, he's growing fast! The photo of him & your finger show some teeth! Sorry about all that rain. I hear there is some strange weather around because the Jet Stream has split. Yes, that's a wonderful surprise for DH.
Izzy....sounds like you have a busy day planned. Hope you find something for your DH.
Tess....sounds like you have a very busy day. How much food do you put up? Hope you have time to sew.
Carole....I'm sure you will be happy when you get that quilting done & it looks so very nice. You were up early quilting!
Judi....sorry you lost your post....I did that this week. How does that happen? It seems everyday the trees across the lake are more colorful. I'll be over for dinner.....I like stir fry.
Velda...really? Austin in November? I'll be arriving there on the 25th for Thanksgiving with my DD. Enjoy your fire.
I must get going.
Loves & Prayers for all......Kathy

Good Morning Girls
YIPEEE It's raining!! You know what that means! I get to stay in a sew today---well after the uglies are done anyway. After a few more cups of coffee I'm be ready to rock! Floors need washin', toilets need scrubbin', stuff needs a dustin' and carpet need vacuumin'! After that I'm headed to sewing room! Of course I'll need my nap this afternoon..Worked 51 hours last week and I iz pooped!
Jules... I LOVE Charley's house! Oh gosh what a beautiful English home! I bet she is so anxious to make it truly their home! How great that they will be close by!
Suzette... hope you find something really special for your DH today at the Art Center. How interesting that they turned an old prison into something GOOD! Your DH is a keeper for sure!
Maryz... ah it's ugly day at your house too today huh? I have a deal for you, I'll come help with yours then you and Bill can come back and help with mine. Actually I'm hoping to get room mate to clean up a few of her messes today, but I doubt that will happen. She sleeps til noon! Her plan is to go to a movie today!
Carole... So glad that your insurance changed its mind! How is your daughter in SC doing? Any more problems from the jerk? I'm going to check out my pink stash today too! But I did find a perfect BC charm pack at Missouri Star Quilt Co that I ordered! Can't wait for that to get here!
Vicky..... prayers for Tia today!!! throughout the day today I'll be checking here for any good news. I know she wants to have that baby at home, but if she goes too long over due will they suggest inducing her?
Judi.... see note to Carole! Every day I check the daily deal at MSQCo. and I was browsing around at all the charm packs.. saw the BC one and HAD to have it. So I ordered one pack and think I'll make up a bunch of Churn dash blocks. I bet you thought I was going to say Dresden Plates!
Teresa... watched El's video on the Lodge pole block last night and I have my book out to read how to do them. They don't look to difficult! I'm sure I have some great greens in my stash! Another thing on my sewing to do list!
Velda.... if you don't want to go buy more fabric.. let me know, I'm sure I have some extra I'd be happy to share!
If October goes by as quickly as September did, you'll be headed to Texas before you know it.
Kathy.... Glad you had a good day with your Sister! Reminds me to call mine today, haven't talked to her in ages! And happy for you that you found some decent fabric!
Chriss.... did you end up going to the Garage sale? Any good quilting deals? We may get thrown out of a hotel room, but just think of the fun we'd have! I can see the headline now... "Old Ladies Asked to Leave Houston Hotel" The details would include loud snoring (me) throwing fabric over their shoulder (you) trails of fabric threads covering the lobby (both of us)
Chrissy... Sorry your tournament got rained on! But every body had a good time anyway? GO PINK!
Tina... muffins in the oven? I'll be right there! Ugly day for me too! Need to crank up some music to get me motivated for dancing with the dust rag!
Tess.. sounds like you have small farm with all those veggies and fruits to take care! Hope you can sneak in some sewing time today!
Well girls the coffee is kicking in now, so the sooner I get the uglies done the sooner I can sew. Will get the laundry going while I sew and if it's nice tomorrow I can do outside stuff then.
Wishing you all a most wonderful day!

Good morning!
It is bright and sunny here today - if you don't like the weather just wait! The snow only lasted a couple of hours, but sure was a surprise!
FIL is all checked in at his new home and people were coming over already to make friends with him - good sign! He likes his room - it has a view of the mountains to the East - the tops are dusted with snow still. Sarah and Matt are on their way here from Elko - should be arriving in a hour or so - they will stop off here - to drop off the car and get moving help to unload. DH says that his Dad is more frail than when we last saw him, but the care place told FIL that they will work to get him stronger - good thing!
I will be heading off to the LQS in a few minutes - need a bunch of stuff - especially getting things ready for my class in a couple of weeks. I do up sample blocks - in different stages of completion to work with as I teach - plus I need to get the sample top almost completed.
Tonight is a meeting for Relief Society - a church wide meeting - it will be televised, so I can watch it here at the house. Next week is General Conference - Church in my jammies time!
Prayers for Tia - little "wickey" had soon better decide it is more fun out here!
Hugs
Jana

Kathy-- I do can a lot. I almost very buy canned vegetables and fruits. We eat vegies, fruits, meats, potatoes, and desserts from my summer canning. And yes I still have time to sew--altho not as much as I would like to.
Maryq-- I do live in farming country. We sold our cattle.. Dh is disabled and no longer able to put up hay and do the lifting with the calves.
Izzy--I've been thinking about making laundry detergent. Do you make your own bath soap?
Cindyg---I also have many quilts in the works..ALL THE TIME!! It's boring to work on the same project. I did have at least 15 quilt tops ready to quilt, but I got 12 completed. I still have, afraid to count, several in the piecing stage.
