MaryZ - I am so praying for friend to be able to have a child. I was a single mom for part of my son's life but I would never change a thing. Give her a squeeze for me

Good afternoon all,

Kathy - what good news about Kim, Yeah!

Chriss - I'm sorry your grandma is getting cranky. I'd say she's entitled to a little crankiness, but it doesn't make it easy for those on the receiving end of it. My maternal grandma was a spitfire. She caused a lot of heartache for my mom, but I was enough removed from it that I enjoyed her, but I would stand my ground with her. She told me once that I had a nice way of arguing!

Maryz - have fun with your friends and celebrating a surprise birthday. I don't do well being on the receiving end of surprises, but have been part of planning them.

Maryq - did you enjoy your day off yesterday and get to spend some time outside?

Miriam - I so agree about enjoying being in the country. I think it would make David feel caged in if we had to live in a metro area again.

Sharona - Moving could be a great adventure - and with all the growth out there in the Denver area, I bet your neighborhood barely resembles what it was 25 years ago! I'm still amazed when we go back how much changes/grows even from our last visit. When we think about here, there really have not been any big changes since we moved here 12 years ago.

I had such a fun day yesterday. I went out to some sales, and found new cushions for our sofa. Our other cushions are so worn, but David doesn't want to replace the sofa till we are moved - so for a few dollars, you can sit on our sofa and not sink all the way down! I also found some audio books for my dad, and to top off the day, David and I had a date night and went for dinner, dessert and a movie. I almost bought a crib and carseat/stroller for Victoria yesterday, but the price seemed kind of high. It was a good thing I didn't because she called last night and a wonderful couple who used to go to our church contacted Victoria and offered her all of her baby gear, so Victoria will be here in a little bit and we will go pick up the items - what a blessing.

Have a wonderful afternoon and evening,
Karlene
