Good Morning Girls

Remember me? Feels like I have been gone for so long.. Had another long work week (47 hours) and my brain is fried. Besides the normal work load there's always some drama going on that I try to stay out of. But boy if my boss would call me in the office and ask my opinion I would give him an ear-full! Some of us stay and help out when it's bad and some people bolt out the door right at shift end....guess who stays til the bitter end... BUT then I get OT pay!!!

Today is absolutely gorgeous and since I've been IN all week, I'm going outside to play this morning--which means whacking some weeds and maybe mowing a bit. Maybe rearrange some boxes in the garage so I can get my car back in this winter. I know I have several boxes out there ready for Goodwill or DAV. Maybe I can get room mate to help move some of her stuff around. We'll see how the day goes. This afternoon I am headed to oldest DS's to ride with him to BIL's 75th birthday party (DEX's brother) Then Tomorrow I get to take Brennen and Evie on our annual back to school shopping trip, with lunch at Chipotle! Little do they know that there's a Joann close by that I need to stop at too!

Suzette.. a $50 refund... COOL, now you'll have some extra cash to fabric shop! I hide away the rent money from my room mate and one of these days I'm going to take a trip to the fabric warehouse and go crazy! Enjoy your retreat! It's on my bucket list too!

Judi.. sorry to hear the news about your Osteo, reminds me I need to have the scan too, one of these days. I'm not a huge milk drinker, tho I love it, and I don't take calcium pills and only remember to take my Vit D and B once in while. A second opinion is always a great idea. I wonder why they just didn't just start you off with Fosamax or Boniva first!

Scrappypat... Another thing on my bucket list is to completely re-do my sewing room too! Actually BOTH of them! The main one is just a small bedroom and there's so much stuff in there there's barely room to walk! But cleaning time takes away from sewing time and there's precious little of that lately. You will post pictures when it's all done yes?

Maryz... On the road again are you? Prayers for safe travels and a wonderful visit! You know Minnesota isn't too far east of Montana--just a really long boring drive across North Dakota!

Izzy... you're back to school already! My DD was a teacher in Arizona for 3 years and I loved to go visit and help her out in the classroom.

Chriss....I'm almost done with my Christmas Blocks... next up are the Calendar Blocks! Next week I work late shift almost every day, which will allow me to sneak into the sewing room a little bit every day and get a good start on them. Next weekend I don't have to go any where or do ANYTHING except the usual uglies... so I will sew my little heart out!

Lois... glad you got a ALL GOOD at the doctor's! Nice to have that over for a year!

Well guys I better get butt in gear... need another cup of coffee to get my engine running this morning then it's time to head outside and enjoy the fresh air! Too bad I can't plug my sewing machine in outside!

Hope you all have a most wonderful day!

Good morning!

I have been on the phone and the computer trying to run down some addresses for DH and the Sunday bulletin - so far I have struck out - left a message and hopefully soon they will call me back.

So now on to here - the party last night was fun! Michael was surprised - about 80% he says - Sarah had balloons tied to the chair at the restuarant for him to be properly embarassed!(sp) Then all the family came here for dessert and games - lots of fun!

Chriss - you and Jerry could have shown up too - the more the merrier! Marilyn would have been a great help with all the little ones too! I have the hardest water - where they tell you that you have hard water, mine is about 100 times that amount - CLR WORKS!!!! It is the only thing that gets the glass on the shower clean, windows clean and unclogs shower heads. I have used white vinegar in California, but here, it does not cut it! So I have several bottles extra of CLR!! I use it straight out of the bottle - undiluted to clean the glass here - rinsed well. I have to use a squeegee to finish the job as any water leaves spots.

Fairly quiet Saturday around here - just some uglies in the basement - maybe even a little sewing - we still need to get some more fabric for a wall hanging that Sarah is making that we ran out of - so a trip across the valley for that later today.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Hugs
Jana

Good morning from a very sunny, warm, gorgeous, gorgeous Sw. Pa.....This is purrrfect weather...

I'm just passing through on my way to the shower....We're also going to a wedding/reception this afternoon and I have to get myself looking semi presentable....This is our nephew's daughter....He passed away about 5 years ago and left 3 children...When he was a baby, he had a cancerous tumor behind his heart and then radiation...Years later, he started having heart problems and needed a transplant but the heart muscles were so badly damaged from the radiation, it was impossible, nothing to attach the new heart to...So in turn, they watched him die.....Very sad time for the family....But, I'm sure he'll be with us today, looking down and very proud of his daughter.....

And with that, I'm gonna scoot....

You all have a great day................

HELLO!!!!!

My trip down was smooth....prayer, I'm sure. crossing the Long Island Sound I saw a submarine out for a test run. They make then there in Conn.

My DD is home from the Hospital!!!! We got home last night about 9pm. The best guess/theory is after she broke the ankle she was given high doses of calcium & her body reacted adversely to it by building up, in the blood vessels, calcium deposits. That stops the blood flow causing bad skin issues. Her skin looks worse, scabbed, but is getting better.
The Dr is confident that healthy skin is growing under there. She still has a lot of pain. I wish you could see this....she has 8 affected areas. No surgery is planed. this is all much better than last week. In a few weeks she will need to have the cist on the pancreas tested, a biopsy. It's probably a calcium thing, too.

Love & Miss you......Kathy....sending prayers.

I have my three trees done! That makes 8 out of 18 done, almost half way.

Caleb had to work today, Emily is away playing the piano for a wedding and Darryl isn't feeling that great so I sewed.

House is good enough for church, I mean I found out this morning I was having it tomorrow!

Hi all!

We got back from Wyoming around noon. It was a lovely time - no rushing around, no timetables. Very relaxing. We stopped at the farm my DSIL's friends run and it was fab! They pick what they're selling that morning. So I'm canning green beans. Judi - Izzy was right about reading the manual. It is scary stuff sometimes, but as long as you keep an eye on the pressure, don't move it until it's cool, and read the manual, all should be well.

Maryz - have a great trip!

Chriss - thanks for your advice - our house DID look clean enough! DH's daughter did stay here.

Kathy - prayers go up daily for your DD and you!

Lois - congrats to your DD - that is fabulous news.

So, while we were gone, we seriously talked about moving out to where we could get about 30 acres and a house. It sounds lovely, but we've been in our house for 25 years and have it the way we want it. There's a house that looks perfect - but when I think of packing all this stuff up - YUCKO!

Oops there goes the pressure cooker - better get in there and check it out! Sorry I couldn't stay and chat with y'all.

xoxo,

Sharona

Goodevening everyone. Maryq how could we forget you!!!!!
Karhyquilts continued prayers to your daughter
Grammiequilts, I will be waiting to hear what the doctor says on Monday, remember if you need me, I am tough, just put him on the phone.
Cousin Heather is having some issues so they are going to wait a little on the stem cell transplant.
Torrie will be having a biopsy on her other breast on Monday. I am afraid it is looking like a double mastectomy but hopefully God has another plan.
Mo is still loving his Marine training. He has been getting nasty heat rash when they Re in the field during the week, us he texted me last nite, it's okay.
Gotta go make some cookies for Mymy. He loves molasses cookies and can only have them once in a great while, and our daughter said He could have some now.
Prayers and positive thoughts going out to all in need
Travel safely and return often
