Good Morning!

Sounds like everyone is up and at 'em this morning! So happy to hear Judi is continuing to mend. Will keep her in my prayers, especially on Fri for her heart cath.

CHRISS - A tent trailer! Those are so cool! Have you ever been in side one? Much roomier than they appear on the outside. and you can buy them used for a song! I'm in for the calendar swap if you do one, and you know I'll be putting a dibs on March!

JODIE - I missed how you injured your rib. Are you certain that it's a rib and not something else? Hope you're feeling better soon!

JULES - glad you turned a corner are starting to feel better. And good for you that you are carrying on even through your bad days!

I have such bad internet here in the RV Park that I won't try to type out a long thing. But I read it all. I'm trying to keep up while I'm gone.

Good morning!

Have to post and run - we need to get out for our walk before the heat hits. The smoke from the latest fire is wafting in and out and right now it is out....!

Kathy - I was thrilled to see your post yesterday - so glad that your DD is making such progress.

Jodie - I sure hope you can get rested and mended up today - sorry to hear about your mentor's death.

Sorry - sure wish I could visit with all y'all.

TTFN xoxo Sharona

Good Morning Girls

YIPPEE I have a day off! (means I have to work all weekend tho) It's cloudy, but not raining yet, so it's all good. I can finally get the 4 bags of mulch and 2 bags of top soil out of the back of my car and can get some yard work done without sweating to death. Had my eye exam yesterday and all is good except for the cataracts that are getting worse. Nothing needed right now, but in a year the Dr. says I'll definitely need surgery. I'm not worried.. cataract surgery is a breeze these days. At least for now I don't need new glasses, which will save a few hundred bucks! Had some time to kill before I went to work, so came home and finished a tote bag I was working on and found more Christmas fabric.

Maryz... we went camping in a Tent trailer ONCE when Shawn was about 3 and I was pregnant with Jen. We had bats flying around inside the camper! Shawn had dreams after that of birds in his room. We never went camping again! My idea of camping is a Holiday Inn!

Chriss.... Glad to hear Marilyn and Jerry had a good time camping. How awesome for her. If you make the rounds, Minnesota is just a little bit north of Kansas and a little bit west of Illinois! Come on up. I have a perfect place to park your camper!

Jules...whenever I have one of "those days" I just keep saying "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming" (from Nemo-the movie) Sometimes the only way to get out of a funk is just to GET OUT of it...But I do hope that you feel better and better every day. Will be great for you to have Charlie around. DD's can always bring a smile to our faces! I thank God for good meds... without them I'd be a lump in corner crying all day!

Jodie... Sorry to hear of the loss of your good friend and mentor. A death like that can surely leave a hole in your heart. Hope you continue to feel better everyday.

Karlene... You have cherry trees? I bet you can make one wonderful cherry pie! And peach and pear trees? How do they grow so well in New York? I sure don't think we could get them to grow in MN. My neighbor has apple trees, I would LOVE to go sneak a few, but he doesn't spray so they are always so buggy and wormy.

Cindyg... Prayers continue for Ed. I got a pedicure in AK, they are wonderful, I should treat myself more often.

Chrissy...thanks for keeping us all updated on Judi. I did see her post on FB. I wonder if she has any Hexies she can work on while she sits around all day. Will sure be thinking of her tomorrow!!!

Suzette.. Happy Anniversary!!!

Sorry I have missed some of you, but I really better get movin' and groovin' this morning before it gets hot and get that yard work done. There's a big dead tree laying in my back yard that blew over in the wind the other night that I have to see if I can move myself. Anybody have an extra husband I can borrow for a little while to do some "manly" things around here for me? LOL

Wishing you all a most wonderful day!

Good morning!

I remember the fire in Herriman last year - it seemed like it burned forever - but only two days - and the smoke! Tough when you are in the middle of it - glad that the fire in Colorado is out now!

Prayers continue for Judi - especially on Friday.

Not much for me here today - we got some of the clothing done last night and will do another round tonight - the bonnets for the girls - they were putting in the elastic the hard way - so to say the least I will teach them how to do it the easy way! Less work is always good! LOL

Hot here today - the cold front moved through last night and so our temps are on the rise again.

I have good homemade popcisles that will get me through!

Hugs
Jana

Just a quick hello to everyone today. I read everyone's posts, but can't take the time now to type my reply. Just know I am thinking of all of you. Prayers for all of you who have many issues. Hugs for all the rest.

We got to go fishing the last couple of mornings. Today, I was the first one to catch a bass!! yippee!! We ran into some other bass fisherman that we practising for a tournament on Saturday. They wanted to know if my husband and I were in the tournament. They said you don't see many ladies bass fisherman. That made my husband so proud. He loves it that I share his passion for fishing.
We really do have a lot of fun together.

Hope you all get to sew a while today.

Good morning! I’m running late today… so what’s new about that… I’m hoping to work on floors and then the cabin blocks. The end is in sight on them! Then I’ll do the mending pile for one of the DGDs.

Jodie—so sorry for your loss! I know there is a hole in your heart now—please fill it with wonderful memories of your beloved mentor.

Well, DH came home in the middle of my reading/posting; we had brunch, and now he is off to work in town at the rental that he is trying to get ready for someone else to tear up…

I think I’m going to just say “Hi!” to all of you and get to work on my day’s chores. I need to get them done. We are meeting friends for dinner this evening at six.

Have a great day!

Good early afternoon from sunny, warm, purrrrfect SW. Pa....As Chriss would say, "It's good to be me"......

Happy anniversary, Suzette....My oh my, you're still on your honeymoon.....Enjoy your dinner......

Jim has gone to help with the elderly bingo and this is my day to run amok so in a couple of minutes, I'm gone....I have a list a mile long but I have a feeling, I'll get to the Library and not want to leave....

Chriss, With everyone camping these days, a pop up would be great....Kathy had one in their early wedded years and they loved it....I was surprised at the room inside...AND if you come east, I'm on the right side of Illinois, just keep coming east.....It's not far, as my late Mom would say, "just down the road a piece".....

So happy to hear Judi is doing well...Of course it's always a worry but these days, a heart cath is really one of the easiest tests to have and they can do so much, right then...The one thing the doctor frowned on was my request to "suck out some fat" while he was at it.....

Karlene, you sure are busy and if you find a helper, let me know...Just yesterday, I happen to say, "this living room really needs painted" and you would have thought I asked for the moon...The look on Jim's face...Well, I took it to mean, "looks OK to me"...So, one of these days, when he's not looking, I'm going to start painting and we'll see if he volunteers to help......

Well, I think I'd best get my shoes on and get moving......

You all have a great day................

Karlene—I hear you about the birds! When we would have a good soft-shell pecan year, we knew we were late when we woke up to all the crows and blue jays in three states clamoring in our yard! They along with the squirrels would strip the soft-shell pecans while they were still in the pods in a matter of hours. We’d get up and vie for the nuts while beating off the birds! We laid them out to dry then shelled them out of the pods and later out of the shells. I had competition with the birds for the cherries the other day. So glad you are going to get cherries! Keep an eye on them!!!

I’ve been out weeding… on to the floors!!!
