Good Morning Girls
Happy Monday to you all. Another beautiful day here in MN, too bad I have to spend it inside all day at work! But it was a good weekend and I got just about everything checked off my to-do list and even managed to get some sewing done! Started putting some pieces together for the DP for the Christmas swap, but think I'll need to do a little more stash diving for more fabric. What I did so far just doesn't say CHRISTMAS to me, so need to find more pieces! Yesterday I also worked on the turquoise and red blocks I've been making and ran out of the white background.. guess who HAS to go to Joann to find some more--or darn! Hopefully I'll get out of work on time tonite!
Teresa... so sorry I couldn't join the Lotto Swap this month.. you know how I love it! 144 6" blocks!! OM Goodness.. that will surely keep you busy for a while. Is it good fabric? I hate frogging!
Velda... congratulations on your new home! I see a lot of 5th wheels and campers on the roads up here in the summer time and think what fun that would be. I don't think I could drive a 5th wheel myself, but one of those self-contained ones would be perfect. I'd get myself a Black lab and drive up to Alaska! Would love to see some pictures of your new home!
Chriss.... hope Jerry and Marilyn have a wonderful camping trip. I love the grace Marilyn said. And I hope you have a couple days of peace and quiet!
Jodie... glad your ribs are feeling better...What kind of project are you doing that you have 24 hours to do?
Lois... hope your day doesn't turn into a Hell Day! Monday's are usually pretty busy where I work too, but not as bad as they used to be as we now are "open" 24/7.
Vicky....Miss you too! How is Kim's quilt coming along?
Guess I better get in gear and get ready for work. will need an extra long shower this morning as I didn't shower all weekend!! It hate showing on the weekends, it's such a waste of time! And nobody's hear but me! I have Thursday off this week and if the weather is nice I need to do a little more yard work and if not, I'll SEW!
Have a great day girls!

Teresa - oh, my, girl, I'd rather start from scratch than frog 144 blocks.
Jodie - what is your summer project? I hope you feel up to it.
Suz - I love those glass tiles. They give an extra little sparkle wherever they are.
Lori - I'm hoping your work slows down a bit. Sometimes my work here is just piled up and I feel like I'll never work my way thru it all but eventually I do. Sure makes the day go faster.
Lois - you are so right - this month is flying by. It will be July 4th before we know it. I saw the fireworks stands out again on my way to work - I hate those things. I love a big fireworks display though.
Vicky - we miss you, too. Sorry if you are having MIL issues.
Chriss - WOO HOO all you have to do is feed the cats, water the garden, and do whatever you feel like doing. That would work for me. Isn't that the craziest thing about the fire and the feds. It will probably cost ten times as much to fight the fire and they'll save ten times less roperty but then that's the gov't. for you.
Velda - YIPPEE I love it when people get a new RV. I'm going to have to go look yours up. Moving is a mess - LOL. We just did that the week after Labor Day last year. My DH is still saying "where's the this and where's the that". I love our new one. I'm so excited for you.
Joan - I'm so glad you are getting to go to Chicago for the quilt show. I think the same people put on the Houston quilt show. Have fun and spend spend spend!! LOL
We camped over the weekend but it was not fun. I worried the whole time about our friend, Ed. There was a crisis or two but it's all smoothed out now and they are going for their first doctor appointment at M. D. Anderson cancer hospital this morning. I thought we were going to lose him over the weekend. My 17 yr. old grandson is staying with us until Friday so y'all pray for me please - LOL. He had his friend pierce his ears the other day....kids!! Well, I'm at work so best get busy.
I hope we can all fondle some fabric today.

Good morning!
It is beautiful here - bright sunshine and temps are rising to a nice warm 90 today.
Yesterday was quiet and that was nice - Matt and the kids came over to see DH for a few minutes.
Didn't get to sew at all yesterday - spent time putting the house back in order. We have a contractor coming over today to look at beefing up the i-beams in the basement - Dh isn't happy - well you know how engineers are!
DH just walked in - need to scoot and do the budget with him this morning - uggh!! Hate that!
Hugs
Jana

Morning Pals from the cabin in the woods. It's good to be home for a few days. Have worn myself out painting the small house in TN. It is now listed! We still have a little painting left, but it will be a couple of weeks yet. My poodle is really glad to see me.
DGD4 is here with me until Wednesday. She is occupied right now with our feral kittens.
I've been trying to keep up with you here. It would be so nice to sew. I will have to be content enjoying the projects of my quilty friends here.
Hugs and prayers for all.

Re: June 17th, 2013
So I came home this morning (I've been spending some nights at my MIL's) and started my self portrait quilt. I had the basic idea done and on paper, etc. I got to the machine quilting and I have never done much motion quilting and now I know why. I broke 4 needles.... anybody know what on earth I'm doing wrong? I'm using the nylon thread (I hate the stuff) I loosened the tension but something is just not right. Anyway I like it! (yes that surprises me) I have the binding to make and do yet and because I didn't want to buy anything for this project I have to use a different color than I wanted
Kim's quilt is so close to being done I can hardly stand it. But I have done something to my neck/shoulder and that big project is just too much for me to work on right now. I caught my cat on it today and it's a good thing I love her as much as I do or she would have learned to fly pretty fast! She did get herself a good "talking" to.
I fell asleep in the chair and thats not helping my neck. I have to get up and move a little to wake up.
