Good morning! I seem to be moving slow today... After DH returned from town yesterday--SUCCESSFUL mowing, no bent blade--we went to the creek and got another load of flat rocks. I think the back flower bed looks real nice with the edging. I hope it also helps with weed control! If we don't get some rain, I'll be watering again. The wind is taking its toll on everything. So far today, it's overcast here with a forecast of isolated thunder storms and WIND.

Chriss--two of the sons recommend a weed eater... hope they get the hint for Father's Day!!! Maybe I can help with a little text to all of them...

Pat--I do hope you don't have to ration water!!! Our lake/water source has risen considerably with all the rains, as have our ponds. Just hope we get plenty of rain... two years of drought have taken a toll on the water table.

I need to get busy here... Also need a coffee refill...

Happy Tuesday, All!!!

Morning Pals from DS new house in TN. EVERYTHING got moved Sat. even though it took til 1 a.m. Now the work begins unpacking here and cleaning the old house. Pray that it is a quick seller.
DGD4 and I are organizing her new room today and maybe doing some scrapbooking.
This is great camping weather, so I hope you all enjoy! By the time I have time to camp it will probably be too hot.
Must get busy! Have a great day.
Hugs and prayers for all!

Good morning :o)
Our Birthday party BBQ was great, Sis loved it and she got so emotional. She left early that day because she got so overwhelmed but it was all good. She's coming back this weekend and it'll just be us, so a quiet weekend :o) She's still looking for a job so any prayers you can spare for her would be so appreciated. I've had Jaz for a few days so haven't had a chance to do much on the puter but you all understand :o) We are still getting wind storms and no rain :o( The Rio Grand is dry, Elephant Butte that feeds it is at an all time low. They say this is the worst drought since 130 years ago....maybe since they started keeping records. I try to sprinkle my flowers every other day with a little water and my trees twice a week (we are on our own well and are praying it doesn't go dry)....grass is doing ok but I'd rather lose the grass then trees....trees you have years invested in and grass can be replanted and in 1 season you'd never know it died. Please pray for rain for New Mexico.
Chriss, I'm already for my SP name :o) can hardly wait! :o)
Maryz, have fun! I'd love to be able to go camping somewhere! :o)
Maryq, Welcome home! :o)
Kathy, hope you have a great day....sewing then getting your license would be the order of the day :o)
ScrappyPat, you sound like you've been having a lot of sewing days :o) fun fun! :o)
Suzette, they will turn out lovely, you do such beautiful work :o) are you getting used to working again? I was sad to see it was cutting into your quilting time.
Jana, activity day with the girls sounds like such fun, wish I were closer but I don't think I could pass myself off as a teenager LOL :o)
Karlene, Wow, that is a lot of baby blankets you have going there, and you still need more! I have 2 to make, I know my nephews girl is having a girl cause they had to do extentive tests on her because he had cancer when he was 15 and they said he'd never be able to father a child but God is good and the baby is all good, she'll be arriving in late July :o) and DD doesn't know what hers is yet so I'll wait, although I did pick up a Pooh panel and I'll be making that and it'll be good for either a boy or girl :o)
Chickie, most of my flower beds are in the shade where I couldn't get anything not even weeds to grow and they love it there and are thriving :o) I hope your rocks help with your weeds. I have mainly grass trouble in the few that are in the sun and it's a pain to pull it all out.
SharonS, I feel for you, we just did the move thing for DD about a month ago, it was exhauting!
GrammieQ, Way to go girl! Congrats! :o) Sounds like you are having a fun time :o)
Well I am sure I've stepped on some, sorry but hi to you all too :o) I need to get breakfast and see what my day will bring....all my uglies are caught up so I am hoping to get some fabric washed and ironed at the least and if I'm lucky enough I'll sew in between :o) I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Hi,,,,,

I'm taking a break from the sewing room and will sit on the porch mend some seams in a older quilt. It's one of those imported quilts & got it from my DD from the thrift store she works in. Hmmm I'll take a nice mug of Lemon Zinger tea to perk me up....the sun is now gone.

Pat....we might get rain tonight. I plan on using my dehumidifier water for my plants but we've had so much rain. I've been tossing it. I just think of it going back into my water supply. It will feel good to have all the 'people' sewing done.

Jana... Sounds like a productive day for you. We laugh when we see 'all' the photos of us, as we grew up, next to our grandparents headstone.

Karlene....I'm with you...I'm so far behind in my hand quilting. LOL...I have it all set up by my chair & I like the hand quilting process.

Chickie....Hope you get some gentile rain.

BBL......

Back -

Had a doozie of a thunder storm just roll through - lots of hail, lightning and thunder - right over the top of the house! A near by elementary school saw it rolling in and took all the children inside - one teacher was checking to make sure all were in and a bolt of lightning struck near her and she is off to the hospital - did not hit her directly - so we are still waiting on the news

Got my kits for my little girls all organized too - so I am ready to go in a few minutes.

Oh yes - Ethan slept through the entire noise of the storm! LOL - sneeze in the house and he wakes up!

Well I am off - again
Hugs
Jana
