I've tried twice already to post this morning and each time it went *POOF*! So one more time.

VELDA - happy birthday!! We have friends who sold their home to their son, too, and now live full time in their MH.

KARLENE - last night when my cat hopped onto my lap for TV watching, I noticed she was covered in threads, too!

CHICKIE - glad you survived all the storms swirling around your area. I wanted to text you but could never find my phone!

Today is UGH-lies for me. Sigh. And time for another cuppa before I go for my walk. Hope your day is grand!

Good morning!

What a beautiful wisteria! Even if it is pass the peak - it is still beautiful!

Well, I got a phone call that I dread - I was asked to speak in Church on Sunday! They gave me a topic and I am now researching it out - I almost would rather go to the dentist than talk in Church! But I will do it and maybe even smile - LOL It is a short talk - only need about 10 minutes.

Today is my uglies day - not to much to get caught up on - Ethan is here to help - don't know which way! LOL

Well had better get started -

Hugs
Jana

Good morning all,

Jules, my goodness, that is such a terrible thing to have happened. I hadn't heard anything about it. Prayers go out for this young man's family.

Teresa, for some reason I am just not in birthday mode this year. I haven't even sent my sister a b-day card and her b-day is the day before ours! Oh well, too late now! We will probably just go to dinner and/or movie....if anyone(DH) remembers it is my birthday! LOL

Velda, Happy Birthday. Hope it is a good one.

Oh, that Wisteria is just beautiful! I love Wisteria.

Thank you all for the good wishes for my dad. I am not really optimistic, though. Back in January he only had about 40% function in his heart. Now, he is down to 20%. Doesn't look too good from here. When the doctor asks him if he wants to live, he says yes; however, when asked why he won't take his medicines, he says he doesn't need them. Oh well, what can you do...... Praying for miracles at this point.

Sorry I can't stay and chat....have to get back to work. I'll try to check back later.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Mel

Thanks you all for the Birthday greetings.

Mel: OMG I am so sorry about your Dad, no wonder you were not able to celebrate your Birthday. We were all thinking of you anyway.
If I forgot to wish my wishes for you, here they are again:
"Happy B-day and Happy Everyday!"

I love the picture of the Wisteria. It is such an invasive plant, but oh so beautiful. I love the comment about the threads hanging off your clothes. Every now and then, my husband has to pick threads off of me, too. LOL

Just enjoying my "goof off day". LOL

Good late morning from warm, sunny, Sw. Pa....This is going to be a purrrrfect spring/summer day.....

I've tried to read through all the posts and my oh my, you gals are busy....

Jim has gone to help with the elderly bingo and it's just the furbabies and me and it's nice and quiet....I'm still not up to "speed" so, today is going to be a "nothing" day.....Hopefully after I see the doc next Tuesday, I'll be back to semi normal, whatever that might be...I guess each procedure takes a toil as you get older and this one kind of knocked me for a loop, but it's over and done, so onward and upward, right......

Chriss, so happy to hear your Grandma is doing so well...She sounds like a delightful lady....How is Marilyn doing with her "restrictions"? I remember those years so well and there were times, I would have gladly given Kathy away...But, you know as soon as she went away to school, we became best friends...The 4 boys, even though they were all bigger than me, gave me no problems....

Mel, so sorry about your Dad...I remember going through that with my Mom and would just wonder...Will certainly keep him in my prayers...

Karlene, that picture is gorgeous...I would love, love to have a wisteria, absolutely gorgeous....Funny about your pants but that happens to all of us at one time or another.....

Happy Birthday to our birthday gals and many, many more......

Time for me to scoot.....

You all have a great day..............

Velda, thanks so much for the thought, but I may have confused you....my birthday isn't until the 26th!

Well 3 major rains have come through with wind....only able to get half the stuff out to the rig. it is raining now and the temp have dropped to about 60. It is a might chilly out there. hopefully the rain will stop so we can continue packing. I don't care what t he weather is while we are camping,,,,we just love to relax and if need be we stay in. It is just fun to go out with friends. Why is it when I get all my windows done except for 3 the rains come and splatter them up. But the garden needs the rain. and many parts of the country do to. Well back to collecting the stuff may have to take it out in the morning, XXXOOO

Good Morning Girls

Just a little hello this morning. Feels likes I've been gone so long! Miss you all. As much as I LOVE being here, I'm getting a little home sick myself. Have been having a wonderful time with the baby and he's getting bigger every day. We took him to Dr on Monday for his 2 week check up and he's grown an inch and is up to 7lb 4 oz now. Belly button and circum. all healed. He's so fun and snuggly to hold. I'm stocking up on snuggles before I have to go home on saturday.

Not sure what we have planned for today. I think Jen and I might sneak out to one more quilt shop and may go get pedicures.... a Mother Daughter Day. I've already shipped one flat rate box of fabric home--should get there tomorrow. Not sure how much time I'll have to sew when I get home...1st thing to do will be to do laundry and mow the lawn.

When I get home and have a more time, I'll post some pictures and catch up with y'all then.

Karlene--that wisteria is so beautiful!!! The house that burned had wisteria all around the wrap-around front porch. It was beautiful! I want to get some again and plant it. Thank you for posting that!!!

MaryZ--we are fine. I guess the sirens in Dennis went off a couple of times, but we slept through it all... I don't think we could hear them here unless it was a clear day with a north-east wind. Definitely can't hear them in a thunderstorm!!!

MaryQ--sounds like you are having a wonderful time!!!

I was out earlier finishing the landscaping around my Japanese Maple tree. When Debby and I go for bouganvilla tomorrow, I will get some begonias to plant at the base of the maple. I have also hung out a couple loads of laundry although I don't know how well they will dry. It's kind of cool and overcast today. DH had to go to town and work on a rental (the tenants left under cover of darkness... owing... of course!). I took the dogs for a run in the pasture and checked the new calf. It's mom must make loads of milk--she's still huge, but baby is sucking and growing. After the rain, the pastures are lush and green.

Chriss--this is my sweet Mom. I entered her quilt in the contest in the photos section. I wish she could win, but there are much more complex quilts entered.

This is our pond a couple of days ago at its fullest. Unfortunately because the dam leaks, it's receding now.
