I walked on so many of you that I just need a another post.

CHRISS - Oooh, grounding for sassiness. My world would have ended if I'd talked back to my parents! and my DD#1 tried it with me - just once. Glad you are back in your bed again.

SHARONA - I love rhubarb, but I couldn't seem to find anyone to marry that also likes it! so I never get rhubarb pie unless I'm at a potluck event and discover one there.

KATHY - We just watched a video at Mt. Rainier Visitor Center last week about how the mountain can cause it's own weather system. The science of it is fascinating.

Everybody else - good morning!! Have a wonderful day!

Suz - I do remember the tractor blankets. I'd never heard of them before. It's wonderful that you are doing a Quilts of Valor quilt.

Lois - kudos to you, too.

Vicky - I admire you for the weight loss and exercise. I have got to start.....right after Memorial Day weekend.

Chickie - glad to see y'all are safe from the tornado activity. I hope the calf found it's mama and got to eat.

Velda - stopping the exercise if it hurts sounds like good advice to me. I sure hope the storms don't get worse by the time they reach you.

Grammie - I hear you about why God gives kids to the young ladies - LOL. I was with some of my DGKs yesterday and was ready to go home after 3 hours. The twinkies are so active and Hannah isn't afraid of a thing so she really has to be watched.

Chriss - kids are a challenge to begin with and you have come to be Marilyn's parent at a later time in her life so you have triple the challenge. I admire you for doing it. Oh, good grief - I never knew that calves were all born at the same time of year. Gosh, I'm such a city girl.

Sharona - good for you working in the yard. I never hit as lick in our yard and I should. I just don't want to waste my spare time working in the yard when I could be working in my sewing hole.

I had a busy weekend. Got my tote finished so I can take it to the lake and bling it and also got my next applique block ready to take along, too. Yesterday we had to take a little trip to my DD's for my DGSs birthday. He's 13....gosh, where does the time go???

I hope we can all fondle some fabric today.

Good morning, good morning!
It was a busy weekend. On Friday I left work and went up for Rich's graduation ceremony. When I got on campus I should have turned the other direction on the campus outer-perimeter road, but I made it to the auditorium with 30 min. to spare - but not early enough to get a seat so I stood by the balcony railing. It was one of those times where it does not pay to be short! I called Rich to let him know I was there and I was close to the section where he was seated so I was able to get a few pictures during the ceremony and then I met up with him at the end to give him a hug and snap a few more pics. The degrees were conferred at the Fri. ceremony, but the diplomas were handed out on Sat. Victoria had the day off and was able to go Sat. I went to a few sales and then headed over there to meet up with her. She was still in route so I saved her a seat and she arrived just as the grads were getting ready for the processional. As he walked in, Rich was looking all over and his face just lit up when he saw Victoria was there. There was a reception afterwards at his school's main building and then I took them out for a celebratory meal. I think he was headed to bed after they got back home as he has not had much sleep this week. I told Victoria that it's been awhile since I've heard bag pipes and organ music on 2 consecutive days!

Miriam - the house at the corner of our road is getting all their new little calves too. I was noticing when I went by the other day that it is really hard to see the calves when they are lying in the grass - there are just little dark spots where their heads are poking up.

Chriss - even birth daughters can get a little sassy when they are in a group with their friends. The pre-teen years were the worst, but they got better as they headed out of M.S. and in to H.S. Elizabeth was being really mouthy with me one day when she was around 6th grade and Victoria looked at me and said, "Was I that bad? How did you not kill me?!" I had to tell her that she was actually worse! Hangest thou in there.

Have a wonderful Monday,
Karlene

Good morning all! Just stopping in for a quick check on everyone. Got up early this morning and went and did my errands before 8 o'clock. Today is supposed to be 90 degrees here in NW Ohio and bad for asthma so I wanted to get out and about then home. Stopped at Bob Evans and brought home Sausage Gravy and biscuits for breakfast. I am getting lazy in my "old age". I am going to work on my DS & DIL's quilt today and do some looking for fabric in my stash for my next project - a patriotic small hexie wall hanging. I want to try asmall hexie before I do a full size quilt.

Chriss - Kids can really drive us crazy, but good parenting always wins out. When my DS had 2 small boys he asked me one time how I didn't "shoot myself" when he and his brother were little. I said to him about all the times I yelled at them. They both turned out great. I told him to remember they were not some of his Marines that had to listen to him when he talked. They are doing just fine.

Well, better go and get started. It is going to be 90 degrees today and I am making crockpot chili for supper. For some reason when it gets hot out I always want chili. I guess I am just backwards.

Have a good day all! Hope everyone that is in the path of the bad weather stays safe.

Good afternoon

I started this early this morning - Ethan and Stu arrived at 6:15! Ethan just wanted to be cuddled for awhile and then I got him to go back to sleep for a couple of more hours - and now I am getting ready to leave to take care of my other little ones - it's Monday schedule for me!

We got the mechanics worked out for my storage doors in the basement - so maybe after Michael finishes work today we will get started on that space - hope hope hope!!!

So not much going on here - just a lot of rain and thunder - but it will be gone by tonight.

Prayers for all in the mid-west with these storms - they dump on me and then move across the mountains and pick up strength and do it all over again.

Have a great day!
Hugs
Jana
