Good Monday morning! I had a delightful Mother’s Day! Breakfast was on the deck with the hummingbirds buzzing and diving. Cole was there looking a little peaked and terribly thin, but walking!!! I did my best to get that missing ten pounds back on him in one setting! The “kids” gave me a gift certificate to a nursery for a tree of my choice. This will be FUN!!!

When I was in town Saturday, I visited with Mom. She looked real pretty as she had been to the beauty shop and gotten her Mother’s Day perm—my gift to her. She also was finishing the quilting on the quilt and will be binding it this week. My sisters were both there yesterday for dinner, and my DD and family stopped in on their way home from here.

MaryQ—Elijah is a doll!!! What a special Mother’s Day you have had!!!

Chriss—what a treat you had yesterday!!! I noticed a few ants here… I hate that season! You are so funny!!!

Chriss & MaryQ—where did I see that skirt pattern? My DD said I have created a monster… Natasha now wants me to teach her to make clothes!!! She loves fashion designing, and I have a feeling she wants me to help her make her own patterns… How cool is that!!!

Lois—sorry you didn’t have any luck at the flea market… The pantry cabinets will be great fabric storage!

Sharona—I like panels, too. I made a quilt from a fabric storybook panel for my DGD’s teacher’s new baby. We will be in the upper 80s today. It was only 64 yesterday.

Sherry—Happy homecoming for your DS!!! Mother’s Day is in your heart every day!!! Isn’t Chriss funny!!! I haven’t gotten hooked on the DJ… yet!

Mel—that is such a sweet story!!! Your DGS is quite the little man! Did his uncle take lessons in chivalry from him? How delightful that you like the GF!!!

Suzette—have a great day! I’ll look forward to seeing your baby quilt!!!

Cindy—sounds like you had a great weekend! I have laundry to do today after the SIL stayed with us.

MaryZ—I haven’t heard of that Lucy show, either. Funny! You have a compassionate doctor—unheard of in this day… a doctor seeing someone “no charge”!!! I hope that she will be able to obtain her disability benefits.

Judi—congrats to “your” Wings!!! Your mother’s day sounds fun as well! Love the low-tech toys!!!

I know today is laundry, and later we have an appointment in Joplin. I don’t think there will be any shopping, but dinner is a prospect… Have a wonderful Monday!

We had snow last evening - so strange after the beautiful week we had enjoyed, but it was all gone by this morning. There is a freeze warning for tonight and I hope it doesn't shock the lilac blooms too bad.

Maryq - how nice that you can do some sewing for Jen while you are there!

Maryz - has it really been 2 weeks already with your guests? You must feel like you've been in a whirlwind over the last six weeks.

Cindyg - isn't it a treat to get breakfast made for you?! My DD's were so good about doing that as they grew up and it is one of my special memories.

Sharona - enjoy your walk. I really need to start walking too!

Sherry - Oh, it's your son who is coming off the ship - I'm sorry, I thought it was your hubby. I'm sure you'll be so glad to see him.

Suzette - you are just flying through these quilts!

Miriam - poor Cole. Hope his recovery goes quickly - it is hard to keep a boy that age still for long.

Chriss - what a wonderful surprise to have your son sneak up on you in church!

Good morning!

We had a great time with the family last night - all the kids showed up for dessert and everything was very yummy!

Stu and the prom - it was what we thought - the music changed and the kids wanted to come home - the dance ended at 10 and they called around 9:30 - so they had lots of fun. At the beginning of the dance it was the old classic ballroom type of dancing - they had people teaching and the kids loved it! Stu attends a different type of public school here - much more old fashioned. He really looked good in his new suit too!

I am within 2 pounds of weight loss of a goal that I have set for myself - lost 48 pounds so far! 50 is the first of the milestone goals that I am working toward.

My little Ethan looks like a little boy now - Sarah gave him a haircut! He had one lock of hair that hung way down the back of his neck and she cut it off and trimmed over his ears! He is reddish blonde, not much hair on his head - no more a little baby, but a little boy! sad face! LOL

Today is my Monday with the little boys and Emma - and I need to get the house back in order this morning - so a few uglies to do and then I can play the rest of the week.

Morning Pals from the cabin in the woods. I think last night was the last cold we will have for a while. Sounds like everyone had a nice Mother's Day.
Enjoyed my Mother's Day at DS for the weekend. Talked to my DD on the phone. She will be here in a little while. She is bringing DGD3 and we are going to sew today! Well, first we are making a duct tape dress form. I took her with me to Marshalls last week. She bought more fabric than I did. Now we have so sew it up! She is 11. Hard to tell who is having the most fun here.
Must go do a few uglies before she gets here. Hope you get to do something quilty.

Afternoon from chilly, semi sunny, SW. Pa...We're having chilly (cold) nights and not too warm days....In other words, nasty weather, lol....Jim planted some tomatoes last week and for sure they needed covered last night....I was given a bunch of hanging plants and they are now sitting in the basement waiting for warmer days.....But, it will be better......

Yesterday was purrrfect...After Mass, the Knights of Columbus made a pancake/sausage breakfast and it was wonderful...We then came home, read the paper and promptly fell asleep...Later we went to #3DS's for a cookout...His oldest Ds is a terrific cook and he did the honors...We also played canasta and of course the girls beat the men, 3 games out of 3.....
I had a text from Kathy and she said she was on her way back to Reno and it was gorgeous, of course...She also said, she was in shorts and had the AC on..I wrote back and said, I'm in sweat shirt with the furnace on.....And to top it off, Survivor was on and the fellow that won was my favorite....So I had a great day....
AND our Penguins won Sat. night and now are on to the next round.....

Chriss, it sounds like you really had a great Mother's day...That's so darn cute, Marilyn is a smart little gal, isn't she.....I think when I grow up I also want to be like Kathy...So independent and enjoying life to the fullest.....My doctor has given me, pretty much, an Ok to do what I want, but at a much slower pace and no long driving by myself,lol....Darn, I guess that means I won't be stopping by for coffee in the near future.....

Jana, Holy Moly, what a weight loss....How did you do it? You do so much cooking, don't you eat or is it chasing after the little ones???Keep up the good work, that's wonderful....

Karlene, SNOW!, this is May, you know.....The last test I had done, they put me in the machine and shoot the dye through my veins...They were checking my head and we all know there's nothing there....

Chickie, your Mother's day sounded great...So good to have family gathered around....It was too cold for us to sit on the deck, we sat inside and ate our burgers etc.

Oh well, I think my time is up, better get moving.....
