Good morning...
I got roped into volunteering for the mud run yesterday and am pooped... I don't know how many miles I walked or gallons of water I drank but the answer is too many... Jerry and I were parking attendents, no experience necessary...we had crooked rows and had never met the people who asked us to volunteer... it was an odd event but also the first annual one held in our area.. they have a vast amount of room for improvement...but it was fun and Marilyn got her t-shirt and went through the course twice
Karlene, your Pastors race is way more extreme than ours was, ours was not too muddy, and people were complaining about the need for more mud..nice of David to build you a stage to sing Otis songs.. ask him if he will wire it for sound...lol
O'Dorothy, when I grow up I want to be Kathy.. she gets to go to all the fun places... other than driving distances is everything else ok with you? Sees candy is very good... they give a free sample when you go into their store..hope you're doing well my friend.
Maryq.. he is the most beautiful little boy.. glad he poops, eats and sleeps,, he is following the baby guidelines to a T...make sure he gets a gentle squeeze from me...sorry Jen is having boobie trouble... wish I had a fix for her....
Kathy, I didn't take pictures of the mud run.. it is a 3K course and I was parking cars...but that girl was muddy from head to toe... there was a water truck who would turn the water on and shower them off, so she came home fairly clean.. I would love to see your window boxes... glad Kim is improving.. rehab is only as successful as the work you put into it and it sounds like hers is working just fine.
Jules... I want to veg out too... can I come over?
hope you all have a super mothers day... I do wish I were at chickies for that fabulous breakfast, but will settle for a fried egg on toast here at home.. it just doesn't have the same appeal...lol
also, the secret pal swap sign up has been posted in the swap section if you'd like to sign up.
have a super day,
Chriss

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all our moms, grandmoms, gr-grandmoms, and pinch-hit moms. Have a wonderful celebration.
TERESA - I hope you find some little happy surprise in your day. I found mine when I opened my computer this morning, there was a pretty card inside it!
SUZ - Have a nice day - whatever you do!
LOIS - your flea market day sounds fun. Hope you find a special treasure!
VICKY - congrats on the vines! I can see them in my mind's eye and they are looking fine! Fine vines!
VELDA - Have a great day at your son's. We were at my son's yesterday. My DIL made all my favorite foods, we played games, and I felt very loved!
JUDI - prices are going up everywhere! We watch for batting to be on 50% off and then buy it by the bolt. Usually Warm and Natural. And if we can get it on one of those extra percents off at the check-stand deals, then even better! And sometimes, good deals are found on line.
CHRISS - so now you can add car parker to your resume! you don't have to add the 'crooked' details. And a special Mother's Day to you and to all the mom's out there who have interrupted your lives to take on second families to raise. God has a special place in heaven for you!
LORI, JOAN, SHARONA, KATHY - Wishing you all a happy day!
Today will be ugly day at our house. I don't know who uglies us up so bad, but when I find them, there is going to be a ruckus! So I'll be on the business end of a vacuum, broom, mop, dustrag, and at Mr. Maytag's side. and my reward will be some time in my sewing room! and I might just take my reward first!
Hope your day is special!

Good morning!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY - TO ALL!!!!! We do - did- and still do - a good job!!! Pat yourselves on the back!! (just a little) LOL
Today will be Church, then later this afternoon the kids will be over.
I got the carpet all done yesterday and it is dry today - so the furniture will be moved back into place - love those slick carpet gliders that you put under your furniture to move it - they really work!
Stu went to Prom last night - looked really good - he got a new black three piece suit to wear, along with a deep purple shirt and tie to go as well. I didn't get to see him leave, but Sarah called about 9 p.m. and Stu had called telling her to come get them - one of two things - the date went bad, or the most likely, the music at the dance was not their type and they couldn't stand it any longer - he is not a hop hop-rap music fan. So I will find out later today what went on.
My oven just beeped - it is ready for the chocolate crossiants to be baked for my breakfast this morning.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs
Jana

Bird's nest report:
Remember my front door nest? There were four eggs. I noticed through the peephole that mama was gone yesterday afternoon - and this morning - and later this morning. I opened the door and peeked. There were four eggs. Now there is one egg, no babies, no broken shells, and no mama. Maybe one was a dud and the rest hatched for Mother's day and flew away, taking their shells with them? I never saw babies, but I didn't check too often. So - I'm going with we have 3 new birdies in the air and one relieved mama and no crows got into the nest!

Happy Mother's Day to all. Just a quiet day here. My oldest DS just called to wish me Happy Mother's Day. My other DS should be docking tomorrow in San Diego so I hope to hear from him by tomorrow night. One of the bad things about my sons not being home for holidays is their living across the country. However, one of the good things is I have great places to go visit on vacation. LOL
I am actually getting some sewing done today. I got my DS's quilt top done and pressed so now I have to get the flag border on it. I want to have it done by the time they get here this Summer so I can send it home with them. I went to JoAnn's Friday and bought the batting and backing for it. I want to start on a hexie patriot flag quilt that I found in McCalls Quilting plus do some more on my DJ blocks. I also have to take some time to figure out how to post pictures on the forum so I can show you some of the ones I have made.
Well better go and get something done. Prayers for all who need them.
Sherry

Good Afternoon Girls
Greetings from Anchorage! What a beautiful day here today. a little cloudy, but the view is gorgeous here.. From the deck of Jen's apartment you can see the mountains. No mountains like this in MN!
Baby is doing great, the "girls" are getting better every day. She does have an electric pump and that does seem to help take the edge off a little. Thanks for all your good advice. Later on I'm going to run to the store and pick up a couple more nursing bras.. finally found some comfortable ones.
Michael brought out the sewing machcine for us, so later on I'll going to make Kaya a skirt and at Joann yesterday we got some fabric to make some American Girl doll clothes. This afternoon Kaya is going to spend some time with her Mom for Mother's Day. We 're just going to hang out for the day and make great Taco's for supper! We also found a big tote box of fabric that Jen had brought with her when they moved here, so we went through that for a little bit and found some gorgeous stuff===that I just might have to sneak out of here in my suitcase!
Just came by to say HI and wish all of you a Wonderful Mother's Day.
I am so blessed to be here!
