Good morning!

I am just getting started around here today - we have a list of things that need to be done and I need to get the last section of the rug washed. All the furniture is sitting on that space waiting for the other section to be dry - now it is and I can finish it. Won't take me long.

Michael is thinking about moving his office into the front bedroom of the house - will still have the same view West as he has now - just a little bigger and a door that he can shut to keep out the little monsters! LOL Ethan loves to go into the office and he is now tall enough to reach things off the desk and push buttons on the keyboard.

Looks like we will be getting some new computers here as well - while we can still get a good operating system for them. Computers are like phones in the old days - need some downstairs and some upstairs! LOL

Sewing might sneak in here today as well - I sure hope so - I am getting behind on my plans of things that need to be sewn!

Have a great Mother's Day!

My kids are coming here to cook for me - and dirty my house! They will clean up after themselves!

Hugs
Jana

Good Morning All!

I am in the same lane as some of the others...... Nothing New or Exciting to report.
Enjoying the beautiful weather we are having. Going to go to my daughters after while and sew the only time I get to see her is if I go over there on Sat. she is so busy during the week we don't even talk some days or text. Been working on the yard, I think I saved most everything during our recent ice storm noticed one tomato plant didn't make it. DH and I are going to the "big city" tomorrow and take my friend out for lunch for Mother's Day. Her children don't live here and her H is DH is in TX for his grandchild's graduation. Wo that is how my Mother's Day will be spent.

Received a very large hanging basket of beautiful flowers from my oldest son/wife yesterday with card.

Hope you all have a great day! Sherry tell your DS Thank You for taking care of all of us. We have a lot to be thankful for with the people who are in the military they can have difficult times to deal with and their families. I know you are anxious to see him. I had three sons in the military. You never stop worrying about your children regardless of what they do or where they are.

Happy Mothers Day to All!

Prayers for those in need.

Thanking God for all the Blessings I have received!

ScrappyPat

P.S. Can't wait for the next quarterly swap to begin. :>)

Good Morning Girls

All is quiet here... at least for the moment. Elijah is sleeping safely in his big sister's arm. Mom and Dad are taking a little snooze. Thought I would stop by for just a minute this morning and say hello from Anchorage! And to share a picture.

He is so beautiful and so itty bitty tiny. All in all he's been a pretty darn good baby... eats, poops and sleeps! Poor Jen's "Girls" are like rocks and she's so uncomfortable. Any body have any good advice? She looks kind of like Dolly Parton!

Morning All ~ Hope all of you enjoy a wonderful weekend, filled with friends, fun and if close enough, family. If your schedule is like mine, you hit the ground running and if your day will be a bit less hectic, enjoy some relaxation and quiet for me.

I have to scale mount washmore, wrap gifts for tomorrow and then more unpacking. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, hope its not a train LOL.

Will try to stop by again later this afternoon. Happy Stitching! Debi

Afternoon from rainy, chilly, SW. Pa...Not a very nice start to the weekend, but hopefully, it will get better....But, we sure can't complain about Mother Nature's display of color...

Not much happening in my neck of the woods....There is always laundry and uglies that need taken care of and eventually they do get done, lol.....Really wanted to go to DGD's Irish dance show today but doc said it might be too much driving...I'm waiting for him to call about the latest test I had done....I just love to be pinched, probed and stuck with dull needles......

Maryq, what a gorgeous baby....I'll bet it's hard to put him down..Sorry to hear Jen is uncomfortable...Is she nursing? And if not, didn't they give her a shot to dry up? Oh boy, I remember those days, very well.....In fact, that was the only time, I ever looked like I had anything up on top, lol....Afterwards it was back to flat....Sad to say, my own Mom was going to have a tee shirt made saying, front and back.....

I received a nice package in the mail, a big box of candy (just what I need) from Kathy...It's See's candy and oh my is it good!...When I talked to her this morning, she said, she was on a balcony, in Cresent City, Ca. overlooking the Pacific ocean....She sure makes good use of her days off and is seeing as much as she possibly can....She will be flying home the 1st week of June because Cari, her youngest DD is having shoulder surgery...It will be nice to see her but not under these circumstances....

Chriss, I've heard of beer runs but never a mud run....Should be interesting, I think......And aren't you ambitious, sewing a dress.....Grandma will love it.....

Well, gonna scoot.......

You all have a great day and a very Happy Mother's Day!

Hi Everyone!
Mary Q - That is one beautiful baby!!! Thank you for sharing a picture!

Chriss - Glad to hear your Gramma is doing so well. Enjoy making the dress.

Maryz - Glad to hear your DB is doing well. Think it is the same whenever anyone is sick. We feel good until we start moving and it is easy to get carried away and do too much.

Judi - Sounds like a plot to make you do so much work for Mother's Day.

Last Sunday my DH and I took my 95 year old Mom out to dinner. We had such a good time! It was just the three of us and I think that is more than enough for Mom. She doesn't do well in large crowds.

My small sewing group came over on Tuesday this past week so the house needs only light dusting and sweeping. I just washed the kitchen floor. I bought a steam mop about a month ago and it works perfectly on the tile floor. My sewing room needs a good cleaing today then I need to get ready for a class next Saturday with my Guild. Hope to sew tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone.
I have made it to studio and getting alot done. I have even rearranged a little. My Go Cutter was sitting on my cutting table and when I needed extra room I had to move it. I took my tea table from when I was a child and put it next to my cutting table and that is where my cutter is. I have been wanting to use that table somewhere in here and now I am happy. The table looks like the aluminum and formica ones from the 50s. I still have the chairs also.
MaryZ - I am using a panel from the Stonehenge for Kids line. It is a boy and he was born last week.

Good afternoon all,
It is cloudy here, but a nice temp. and only spits of rain. David is working on redoing the walk outside and it looks so nice. Gus the cat is keeping him company. He is doing the walk in wood so it looks like a dock. I told him when he's all done, he can find me out sitting on it and singing Otis Redding! (He doesn't like my singing!)

I talked to Victoria this morning and she has the day off so she is resting and keeping her feet up. Her hubby just found out that he will probably graduate next week with his bachelor's degree - he was thinking he would need one more class, so that is good news. I don't know yet if he is going to look for a job, or start on his master's.

Maryq - Elijah is beautiful! Tell Jen to try standing in a hot shower - that should help release some milk and soothe the swelling - and let her know it is only this sore for a few more days.

Chriss - Marilyn wants to run? I have always liked the idea of running, just not the reality! Our pastor wants to run in a tough-mudder race that resembles bootcamp training complete with electrified wires, mud, and a whole lot of other stuff that sounds no fun.

Sherry - so glad your DH will be home soon!

Teresa and Maryz - I spent two summers in Europe; I never thought about it giving my mom sleepless nights! But as a mom, that would be hard.

Miriam - That is so good of you to do the big breakfast tomorrow. How nice of your SIL to play while you work!

Dorothy - what kind of tests do they have to run you through?

Jana - I can understand Michael wanting a door! Little hands can be so busy.

Well, I'm feeling a nap coming on - I'll have to see if there is any racing today. Have a great weekend,
Karlene

Maryq, what a beautiful grandson you have! So precious. I can almost smell that wonderful "baby" smell from here.

Poor Jen...hot showers and also hot towels for a compress...maybe heat up a damp towel in the microwave. That should feel like a little slice of heaven for her.

Haven't had a chance to read up on the goings on...off to do that now. I'll pop back later.

Happy Saturday!

Mel
