Good morning, good morning,
The red bud trees have popped out this week and they are so pretty. The lilacs are almost there and the wisteria still has a ways to go. I am so thankful for this beautiful week of weather we've had.

Maryq - yeah! He is here! Welcome little Elijah!

Suzette - congrats on your new grandbaby that's coming.

Chriss - that would be wonderful if your grandmother was to go home today.

Cindyg - welcome back!

Have a wonderful day,
Karlene

Good Morning....

No matter what happens & no matter who calls I'm staying home today!! I did go shopping & picked up all I needed to make 6 window boxes to hang off the porch & a premade raised bed to plant my veg's in. I also got a small manageable hand drill to put the rocking chairs together. In other words enough work for a week.

WOW....lots of big news going on. No cemetery wants to have the bomber buried in thier place. Three missing girls found. Waiting for the verdict in the AZ murder case. Some one from the state department has come out to say there was no protest in Benghazi when 4 Americans were killed.

Today I'll start with washing windows so I can put in screens.

Suzette....A big happy congrats to you on the new grand baby & to your cousin also.

Mary/rose bud & Lori.....have a fast & smooth work day.

Chrissy....to bad the seeds did not grow. It's such fun to see the pop up out of the dirt. Plants are the way to go...that's what I do as I have a limited green thumb.

Chriss....sounds like you are having a very time sensitive day. Hope it runs smoothly for you.

Velda...Have fun with you bird friends & coffee. I bought a Shepherd's Hook to put my bird feeder on as I can't reach any branches.

Judi.....enjoy your beautiful weather.

Love & Prayers....Kathy

Good morning!

Suzette – congrats on the upcoming addition! Sure hope you’re not too sore to sew.

MaryRose – enjoy your coffee before you have to leave for work, and have a great day at work.

Lori – I agree – training someone is like working twice as hard and long. How many days do you get off before you have to go back? I’m relieved to know you’ll always have projects to work on.

Chrissy1 – I love peonies! Hope your continue to grow strong and tall.

Chriss – thank you – I am feeling much better! The swelling is down on my ankle where the door munched it. Sure hope you get to go pick up your grandma today. I’m hoping we get some thunderstorms tomorrow – we haven’t had any since last year.

Velda – I NEVER have anything to chat about! Yet here I am… So glad you popped in before heading out for coffee with the birdies.

Judi – I know your DH is glad to have you home also. I need to go check out the place you got your rug mug pattern. Happy window washing to you!

Maryq - congrats again on your new grandson. I hope you're able to sleep before you leave.

Cindyg - put on your Smokey the Bear hat - hope your fires are put out soon.

Traci - a girl! Congrats to all. Also on the graduation. Glad to hear you didn't fall into your scrap pile.

Tina – your weekend sounded dreamy.

My fabric came – yay! It’s washed and waiting for me in my sewing hole. I got sidetracked yesterday by cleaning out drawers – oh the treasures I discovered! Today will be running errands – we’re supposed to get rain all day tomorrow so that will be a perfect sewing day. Have a wonderful day! xoxo Sharona

Wow - I walked on two people today!

Karlene - I've always wanted wisteria - it is so pretty. I tried doing a red bug out here, it didnt make it. Your yard must be beautiful.

Kathy - have fun putting your chairs together! Sounds like you'll be busy for the rest of the week.

good morning, QIAD!

MARY Q - congratulations!!! He just couldnt' wait for his gramma, could he. But this will give you more hands-on time when you do get there! What a special time you will have! TWO MORE DAYS!!! I think this calls for a couple of heart-felt BOING BOINGS!!

SUZ - Well, Merry Christmas to you!! I bet your news of your new DGB on the way eased those sore muscles! congratulations! Your new quilt sounds great. Maybe you should make it a two-fer on this one!

MARY ROSE - you are so right! We do need our fabric therapy to 'get us through it'.

LORI - I'm happy to learn that once you finish this latest project you won't be bored! lol! as if any of us ever would be! Hope the training sessions at work ease up on you!

CHRISSY - I can never EVER get seeds to grow, no matter how I start them. I've given up. Someday I want to get some peonies. What kind of sunlight/shade do they like?

CHRISS - a lot going on in your day today! Hope Gramma gets to go home. Our weather has changed this morning, too! Cloudy and chilly with a breeze.

VELDA - sounds like you are having a battery re-charging day today! Enjoy!

JUDI - mug rugs, quilts, windows, weeds . . So what are you going to do in your spare time?? lol!

CINDY - oh, were you gone? hahahaha!! Hope you had an a wonderful time!

CHICKIE - glad Odie is doing so well! That little fur-kid is one ball of personality!!

We saw Jim yesterday and he looks quite grand! He's going to have a 6" scar on the back of his neck, but he's kind of bummed about that. No one can see it back there! He's going home tomorrow!! I don't know what we'll do now. After a month of near daily hospital visits what will we do with our time? I'm going to make them a meal to pop into the oven for tomorrow with enough for leftovers for the next day, too. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, lima beans, lemon pie.

I have my yrly physical in a few hours. I had my blood drawn last week, so at least that part's done. But I'm not sure I want to see some of those blood results! And what's with those doctors' scales, anyway?? They are always about 5 pounds off - the WRONG way!

So, I best get a wiggle on and go take my shower.

Hi to all I stepped on this morning! It wasn't my fault!

Mary z

Hi everyone. The last two days have been crazy for me and I hit the floor running today. I'm taking a breather and said to myself, I'm checking on my forum friends.

I got some good pointers from a friend on the vines and I hope they will now go a little faster. But I have to be oh so very careful on my back... it's popped a few times and this morning while I was doing my walk it really popped and I could hear it! It's not feeling to well so I will be able to sit for only short periods of time.

I'm having a friend over in a few minutes for a little luncheon. So I got to go and get things around.

Chriss, you are brilliant ! Perfect!! I knew Jodie would be good for something. Think I would have to get a picture of Cary Grant though. The jerk is such an ugly person inside that it leaks to the outside. Now to get working on that love letter.

Thanks for starting my day with lots of laughter.

Good morning all. No errands to run today so I am going to sew as much as possible. My new Hancock's-Paducah catalog came yestrday so I had to stop and look. Of course I ordered some Civil War Reproduction fabric fabric as if I needed any more.

Maryq - Congrats on the new grandson. I love the name.

Carole - Where is your RV trip going? I must have missed your info about it. I can understand your states interest in the Jodie Arias case. She is nuts in my book. May-be I am crazy also but I am so tired of hearing about it here in Ohio. There are just too many more important things to be concerned about in my book. The horrible raid in Benghazi is more important to me because I am sure there are lots of lies and coverups going on. Oh well time to get off my "preaching stool" and move on.

Tina - I will keep your sister in my prayers for starting over in her new life. She is lucky to have you to help her.

Jules - Your trapunto class sounds interesting. Am looking forward to seeing some of your work with it.

Suzette - Congrats on your becoming a Grandmother in December.

Cindyg - Glad you enjoyed your quilt sewing trip. Your quilt guild must be very big in order to have someone like Karen Kay Buckley for your speaker. Enjoy!

Well, better go get something done. Prayers for all who need them.

Good morning quilty friends,

It is a little overcast out today...supposed to be cooler as well. I think we hit about 88 degrees yesterday! I didn't waste any time getting home and cranking the AC to about 65 to cool off the house. I think that the person who invented conditioned air should win some kind of world prize! LOL

Maryq, congrats, again on the new bundle of joy.

Suzette, congrats on your "bundle of joy" news.

Traci, congrats on your "girl" news!

How wonderful to have so many new little ones.

Well, I am at work as usual...can't stay and chat.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Mel

Good morning :o)
Chriss, I'm about the same....and waiting for Dr's to call me back...not my fav thing to wait for.
I planted some tomato seeds in a tub thingy and the early girls are coming up nicely, DH covered the whole thing with an old window and it made it a mini green house :o) I weeded it the other day and think I will replant my Romas because they didn't come up and those are usually the easiest for me LOL I told DH I think the seeds were old though.
Maryq, congratulations! Happy dance :o)
Suzette, Congratulations to you too! A new addition for Christmas :o)
Our DD is due Nov 15th so we will have a new one for Thanksgiving :o) and she even said she's cooking Turkey dinner at her new house LOL I think she's being a little bit forgetful on actually feeling up to cooking that much just about 2 weeks after she has this baby LOL we shall see....I'm sure we'll be doing lots of "helping" :o)
Maryz, I still haven't found my fabric for the Alaska quilt. We're going to Silver Friday so I think I'll take the book with me and see what I find.
DH's uncle passed away Sunday, he was 88. He was a very nice man and he was our State Rep for most of my growing up years and about 1/2 of my married life, he did some good things for our county. We are waiting to see when the services will be.
I didn't get any uglies done yesterday because I was afraid I wouldn't hear the phone ring when the Dr called me back and he didn't call so I'm going to just chance it today and do what I can, my floors are discusting. If I miss the call then I miss it, he can leave a message.
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.
Tina
