Morning...,.

Well my sister said "Be ready early". I wonder where she is? We're going shopping to a children's store in a very very old factory with creaky uneven floors. They carry the left overs of many brands. Love the place.

Velda.....congrats on being 1st!! Happy Quilting.

Lori....sorry you have to work today.....hope you get in some sewing.

Sherry.....it's a beautiful day here too. I did see rain in the midsection of our country.

My sister just called & the story doesn't open until noon.

Judi....I'm getting ready for my veg garden too. I'm buying a premade raised bed. Just one..I'll put my rhubarb in opposite corners & tomatoes in the others & basil in the middle. Or I hope to do it that way. Screening in the porch is a wonderful idea!

MaryZ......sounds like a wonderful day to play tourist. I loved Pike's, such wonderful things there.

Sharona....I love chimes. I'm looking for glass chimes.

Well I'm off to have c cup of tea with my sister before we go shopping.

Love & Prayers.....Kathy

Good morning!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I am getting ready for Church in a few - my little furball thinks it is his time to sit on the computer keyboard - so who knows what letters will appear! LOL

Maryz - been there - done the Pike's Market, Ferry ride and the Space Needle - in fact left our tripod in there - went back the next morning and it was still there! Have fun!

Chriss - the basement is moving slowly! Pics will happen - I may be older and grayer, but it will get done!

We went out yesterday and ordered the new bookcases. The guy that builds them will call on Monday or so and give us the final price after he makes sure he understands what we want from the drawings that they made. They looked at me silly - the height of the center bookcase is 90inches - she asked are you sure you can get it in the house? I told her I had 16 ft tall ceilings and 8 ft. tall doors - then she smiled! LOL

Chased around Salt Lake City for awhile - new rail lines being put in so Michael want to check that out and then we finally made it to Trader Joe's again! I was out of supplies - my chocolate crossiants - so I am stocked up once again. If you have a TJ's near you - those crossiants are heavenly! Frozen dough that you bake fresh at home. Yummy!!

Well I need to finish up my lesson for today and finish me as well -

Have a great day
Hugs
Jana

Good Morning Girls

Well, the room mate is IN. You know how we all have fabric stashes? This girl has BOOKS!! OMG I think she has more books that our local library! Bags and boxes of Books! And DVD's! Was fun having some of the young folks from work over to help her move in! What troopers they were! Half my garage is full of stuff and the downstairs family room is packed! Guess what SHE will be doing today!

Today I will be PACKING! Only 4 more "sleeps" til I fly out! Got all the laundry done yesterday and only had a little time to play in the sewing room yesterday. Found a couple small projects to take with me.
Am debating about running up to the outlet mall later to grab a couple more pairs of pants, but my boys are coming over sometime today so we'll see how that goes.

Velda... oh yes definitely get El's Geese rulers! You'll never go back to making flying geese the "old" way. I have a box full of extra geese I've made along the way, and some day I'm going to put them all together for a scrappy geese quilt.

Maryz... sounds like you will have a FUN day today! Please send some of that warmth over here! Haven't seen the sun here in I don't know how long. It's getting depressing! I'm afraid we are going to have a very short summer with winter dragging on for so long. So glad to hear Jim is improving and get his strength back.. Is he able to eat better with the procedure he had?

ScrappyPat.. you've never used El's FG ruler?!! You've got to try it. It makes wonderful geese. Your new chair will be magic... I have couch with recliner ends and when I sit in I magically fall asleep!

Judi... LOL salad in a sand box!!! When I get home from AK it will time to plant my tomatoes here. And may be some cukes too. I LOVE fresh cukes from the garden. I saw an easy recipe for Pickles on FB and should have written it down. Are mosquito's bad in MI. With the wet spring here I'm sure we'll have a "bumper crop" of them this year! Won't it be wonderful to have a screened in porch!

Chriss... sounds like a great project to keep Marilyn busy for a while--sorting magazines! I have a stack I should go through as well and organize.. it's a good TV watching project. Usually I tear out the patterns I think I can do and leave the "no way I've ever going to tackle that" in the magazine in a separate pile. Now that I'm kind of learning how to applique, I'm even saving some of the templates that come in the magazines. Hope you have a wonderful CHRISS day!

Sharon... did you find the best spot for your wind chimes? My new room mate has 2 cats...I think they are a little afraid of me.. put I did get one to let me pet her yesterday! A gift Card to Joann!! Lucky you!!! I'm just glad there's a Joann in Anchorage and it's only 2 blocks from Jen's!

Kathy... good news that your DD is doing better. Hope you have a fun day with your sister.

Well girls, I suppose I better get to work around here, organize my packing a little and need to wash my sheets. Room mate is still sleeping. She's so fun... she went over to another co-workers house last night, about 2 miles from my house and texted me "I'm still at Olivia's, is that okay?" Silly girl, I'm not her mother!! But it was nice she texted me that she was staying late.

Hope you all have a most wonderful day

Morning girls,

Maryz was right--it is a glorious day here in the Great PNW. Hope you have a fab time in Seattle.

We are about to take DGS in to the "Y" for his swimming lessons so I can't stay and chat. Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Jules, your trapunto is wonderful....great job. Can't wait to see the finished product. Was it difficult to do? I adore that fabric. Brings back memories of our traveling days when we lived in Germany.

DH is giving me the look...gotta run for now. Hope you all have a glorius day.

Hugs,
Mel

Good afternoon from sunny, sunny SW. Pa.....Another gorgeous day....

We went to early Mass and then on to breakfast with our friends..What a perfect way to start the day.....Jim had to go to a meeting at the AOH and as soon as he gets back, we'll go to our #3 DS's for some serious canasta playing....

Here in SW. Pa., hockey is big stuff and hopefully our Penguins will come out ahead....I have a hard time watching, I get too nervous and most of the time, I pace.....But, it's the same when I watch the DGS play lacrosse....Just can't sit!

Gonna run and read the paper and hope I don't fall asleep...I swear they put something in the ink that knocks me out, lol......

You all have a great day..................
