Good morning, good morning.

With our warm temps last week, the flowering trees are in full bloom and they are gorgeous. Can't wait to smell the lilacs.

Sharona - I had to giggle about your DH still painting (except he had you out there too yesterday) - he sounds like a man on a mission! That's the way my dad is. He decided one Sat. was the day to wash windows and about half way through it just started to pour outside, but there was dad, on his ladder, under the eaves, washing every last window!

Jules - that would be so great if Charlie could get that job close by.

Cindyg - I've said it before, but God bless you for working with payroll/accounting. Have you been affected by all the rain and flooding?

Chriss - a move is going to be a big change, but I've been praying for years that when my parents needed me, we would be close and both David and I are of one mind that that time is now. I just didn't know that a grandbaby would be coming at the same time. I'm holding out hope that maybe the girls will want to head west also, but they've been here in NY for 12 years so it will be hard for them. Like I said, God will have to work this all out.

Maryz - I'm so glad that they have improved your brother's swallowing - and that they found out it wasn't just from the Parkinson's.

Well, onwards and upwards,
Karlene

Good Morning, everyone!

JULES - oh wouldn't it be sweet if Charlie got the job that's so close to home!! And have you heard any more news about the C's? Have a super day with Chris!

LOIS & MARY ROSE - have a nice day, whatever you do!

SUZ - glad you think you'll like the job! Congrats!

CHRISS - thanks for the wreath info. It's not the one I was looking for though. and I actually found the pattern at another source, so all is good now! appreciate it! I didn't have a brother staying with me. Just a sister - and she went home a week ago and is doing great. My other brother lives 1.5 hours away and drives when he comes to visit. he's doing well, too, though he has to go back into the hospital in a few weeks to have the kidney portal stent removed and the radium seeds implanted. I have so many older siblings that it's like having aging parents all over again! Only there's four of them instead of just 2! (and don't they hate it when the docs think I'm their daughter!)

SHARONA - are you painting the entire exterior of your house or just some part? When DH did our house it took 2 months! We did it in the summertime. The next time it needed painting, he hired it done. lol! Once was enough for him!

CINDY - you better get busy! You got lots to do between now and then! And when is "then" anyway? When are you leaving? I wish I were going, too!!

JUDI - My, aren't you waxing poetic this morning! but your red buds sound so pretty! We have mostly maples and firs and cedars here. I love them, but the maples drop a mess on the ground! Happy BOM-ing!

MARY Q - even if you do have to work another 4.5 yrs, just think how fast the last 4.5 yrs have gone! When I was counting the days until my wedding - back when I was 18 - my future MIL told me, "don't wish your life away". I try to remember that when I'm wishing my life away waiting for something I want!

KARLENE - you're moving?? I must have missed that announcement somewhere along the line! To Colorado?

On Wed. we have friends arriving in their 38 ft fifth-wheel to park in our yard for a month. I'm just about ready but want to do a load of wash and vacuum today. And DH needs to blow off the driveway and RV parking pad. And we need to trim some encroaching limbs along the driveway. Oh, and we have the roofers coming back today to finish that job! How could I forget that!! But basically, an easy day around here.

Hope it is around 'there', too!

Good morning!

We have a storm blowing through today - so my sun is hiding - but at least it is not too cold outside! The windows were open yesterday too.

The kids got the sprinklers up and running last night. So now we can spray for all the ugly dandelion weeds and their friends.

DS4 got a call back for a PD officer position - he was really surprised because it is a very small department and usually those jobs go to inside contacts. It is just up the road a little farther than where he works now - so we shall see.

So not much going on here - it is just quiet - which always worries me - the calm before a storm as the saying goes -

Ethan should be here in a few minutes - so I need to go make some buttermilk pancakes for him - one of his favorite things to eat.

Have a great day
Hugs
Jana

I've been sewing borders on Kim's quilt. I'm taking a break to give my back a rest. It' been VERY bad. These borders are strange because they have you put them on top and bottom first then the sides. I've never done them this way before. I guess it doesn't matter too much.

Emily and I finally finished listening to the Count of Monet Cristo, it was 37 CD's long! It took us a month.

Not much else going on here but the daily grind of life.

Good morning :o) well it still is for me for about 50 more minutes LOL I've been outside all morning watering. Talked to my mom this morning and my sister :o) My sister will let me know in the next 10 days if it's going to be just a visiting trip or a moving here trip :o) well not here but 2 hours away in Alamogordo. Mom and Dad will be bringing their motorhome for the birthday party BBQ and my older brother that lives here just 3 miles from me will be coming, my younger brother that lives in Cruces can't make it because of a Jazz gig thing on Saturday and a concert on Sunday. We are 5 kids; 2 girls and 3 boys, my oldest brother and his wife and 3 kids live in Germany....we haven't seen them in over 14 years :o( so that actually makes it that I've never seen the kids of his at all.
Jules, what happened about the body? Who was it? Girl you can't leave us hanging like the season finally from a show ;o) the suspense builds.
Well time to move my water, we're going to be about 90* today but on Thursday we have a cold front coming in and we get to drop to a high of 64* yipee! :o) 70* is my perfect temp without any wind :o)
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.
Tina

Hi girls just a quickie.....the "C" family are called that because their surname starts with C, but I think it also stands for c**p!!! As for the body, it was a young 24 year old lad, who is known to the C family......but that's all that's been revealed so far, the police ar keeping things pretty quiet, so there is obviously a lot more going on than we know......we've all been wondering if it was someone else they have stitched up financially and although it is very sad that someone feels their only option is to end their life, I wonder if the reason they did it is to point the finger at the C family.

I am also 100% sure they are looking to to up sticks and try to leg it to Australia....their son moved out there last year to try and move the business over there and we know from our solicitor they have won a contract for a job in Dubai, which is worth almost £2million, and the first installment was being paid this month and was almost £700k.....almost $1million in your terms........which is why he agreed to pay us, but I've heard he's been laying off staff so it looks like he's ready to run, our solicitor is on the case and we will have to see where it goes from here.....as I find out more ill keep you informed - thank you for your prayers for Charley and her job, she's waiting to hear what class and subject she will be given as she has to plan a lesson and teach it to the class in front of the head teacher and then she has to have an interview, so it's quite a long interview, but the good news is that they inform them very quickly whether they've got the job or not, so she won't be left wondering for ages :)

I had a nice rummage in the shop today, but refrained from buying anything, oh apart from some yarn - oops......and then I had a lovely lunch out with Chris :)
