Good Wed. morning all,
Jules - it looked like all went well at the funeral for P.M. Thatcher and I was glad to see there was far more cheering than other. Enjoy your dinner out.

Suzette - hope all goes well today with the burial and that family members behave. You would hope funerals would be a time to bring people together.

Miriam - so glad it went well with the Gammill machine!

We have sunshine today - yeah! David and Elizabeth are out looking at used cars (hope it goes well) and I was a bum last night; didn't accomplish anything other than keeping my spot warm on the sofa. Have a great day,
Karlene

Good morning.
I've been trying all day to get in my sewing room but I keep getting side tracked. I had to sweep the floor, then I walked in the kitchen and I couldn't leave those dishes in the sink. The washer finished so I had to hang the laundry out.... I'm starting the applique boarders today and I'm a little nervious about them (can you tell?)
It seems strange that I have a whole day at HOME!!! Tia and Jovanna came yesterday so I get to stay home :-) Until tonight when my sister asked me to come over and help her with the borders of her quilt.
So I'm off and I'm going straight to the sewing room.

Rain and thunder and possible hail off and on today. I haven't heard yet if they need the storm spotters. We have flash flood watches and such. I heard there could be up to 4 inches of rain-not snow.

Laundry going and maybe some sewing. Then packing begins in earnest.
Also want to clean the car out and have it ready to go.

As Sharon said 2 more sleep nights. Which for me means one more sleep night and one wishing I could but too excited and ready to sleep when it's time to get up. We leave here in the dark 30's in the morning.

I did post a question in chit chat for all of you who have accuquilt cutters.

I shall miss all of you-and wish you were there in the 2 day class with us. makes you wonder who would have more fun-us or El? Both would be the answer.

ds2 had a co-worker and his wife stop by on Sunday. They did some cattle trading and came by to see how the bottle calves are doing. I sold them a pony cart and visited with them for quite a while. DS2 was going to take the cart to work yesterday but didn't get it done. He told the co-worker about bringing it. The co-worker said not to-his wife wants to come back and visit some more. oddly, her name is Sandy, and she is not a quilter. She does like horses so there's something to talk about.

Hope to bbl, depending on the storms. If not I shall be back when I am back.

Sandy, trying to stay calm..2 days of classes with el..

Chriss - how does a hexie start at 1" and end up at 2"? All you little hexie ho girls - I have visions of y'all dancing around waving a string of hexies all put together - LOL. Enjoy your class today!

Maryz - seems odd that they can't put PD meds in an IV. I sure hope he gets off the respirator so he can get his meds. Are they keeping him pretty much doped up? Glad to hear your sis is feeling better. I wouldn't be looking forward to that surgery though.

Grammie - when is the move back?

Karlene - sometimes keeping your spot on the sofa warm is just the ticket.

Vicky - WOO HOO - you are doing borders. Must mean you are getting close to the end.

Sandy - I sure feel your excitement and know what you mean about being too excited to sleep. I bounce off the walls BOING BOING BOING!!

Mel - here's wishing you get in your sewing room tonight.

Good afternoon from semi chilly, slightly overcast, SW. Pa, but thank goodness, no snow in the forecast....I'm watching a fat ground hog peeking it's nose out of it's hole...Poor thing isn't sure if it's really safe to come out...They are neat to watch but not so nice when they venture into the garden...Last year the momma had 3 babies to take care of....

Jim and buddy, Ted, have gone to Home Depot to check out/buy a lawn mower...I can just see the 2 of them standing up there drooling..And would love to have a picture of them trying to get it in the car....

Chriss, I know you're excited about your class, that's great...Funny, in a way, about Marilyn going to Oz...I guess there would be lots of things that we take for granted that might frighten a little one....

I wish I could respond to everyone but we'd be here until tomorrow...Very happy to hear everyone's good news but so sad about the terrible things that are happening.....Why can't people just get along, why do we have so much hurt!

Prayers to all that are in need.....

Have a good day..............

Cindy, have you watched Dallas yet????

I have great news! My brother was extubated this morning and they are letting him wake up now. He remembered falling last Friday but has no memory of anything else. Didn't know he'd had surgery, didn't know he was in a different hospital or that almost an entire week had gone by. And he's already asking when he can go home! Prayers of thankfulness abound!! and thanks to all of you who prayed for him. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get to the hospital to see him! But will give him a few hours to adjust first.

Good morning!

I am late as a little one just wants to be cuddled - he finally laid down for a nap - he is still feeling punk and not eating much - Sarah is only working a half day - she needed to get out payroll and then will come and get Ethan.

My class is a simple stripped pieced Christmas stocking - a pattern that I designed when Sarah was a baby - about 36 years ago! The LQS is doing a Christmas in July set of classes and wanted something simple and quick - this is - it is a quilt as you go and can be embellished however they like - yes, Chriss - they could add hexies to it, in fact I will make that suggestion to my class! LOL

Talked to DS4, he has his marching orders for the marathon here on Saturday - he is a good watcher - especially for things not where they should be.

So later I will be doing some sewing.

Michael climbed up on one of the tall plant shelves here and installed my new doorbell. I love Westminster Chimes - the sound that Big Ben makes in London - so that is what my doorbell rings when the button is pushed. Jules would feel right at home!

Maryz - so happy that brother is doing so much better!

So sneaking off to get a few uglies caught up for the day

Hugs and Prayers
Jana

Good morning :o)
I haven't been around much lately, have had lots going on with tests and dr's appointments. I had my mammo done yesterday and they have found a large mass in my left breast and a small mass in my right one. Please pray for me that it isn't cancer. The one in my left started out as maybe a pea size about 3 weeks ago and I went into the Dr as early as I could get there which was 10 days later and by then it was bigger then a golf ball, I do not feel or find the one on the right yet. I go back to the Dr next week for the results then will find out what the next step is.
I hope you all are doing good. Prayers for all in need.

TINA - so sorry to hear you're having health problems! I can't believe that they didn't get you in sooner. You can be certain that prayers are already speeding on their way for you! Hang in there!
