Good morning, just a quickie today, I am going to town soon to get new tennis shoes.. it will be lots of fun for me to shop all by my self, no one asking for anything, no one wanting to go home.. just me... what a wonderful day it will be.

Maryq.. you can't be a hexi hold out forever.. you gotta at least try.

Jodie, glad you found a quilt buddy nearby... wish I had one.. it sure makes the cutting go by quickly when youre chatting.

Karlene, congrats to Elizabeth.. how exciting for her..

Jana.. you can't be a hexi hold out forever.. you gotta at least try.

Jules, sounds like your mom and dad's party was a huge success.. I love when you can truly surprise someone like that.. kudos to you for all your hard work... they must be great parents for you to want to do so much for them...

Maryz, sorry about your brother... wish I could say more to make it better...hugs and prayers to you my friend...

I really need to get moving... you all have a super day,

Chriss

Here is the top without the borders and applique. I've worked all morning to get this together.

i got news of my brother. The MrI shows that he broke 2 vert in his neck and is going into surgery in about 2 hours. We're hurrying into the hospital now. And MARY Q - no, my sis wasn't serious. A real warped sense of humor runs rampant in our family. And it becomes more apparent when we're stressed. some might call this crazy. We prefer the term "coping mechanism". makes it sound mentally healthy, don't you think? Anyway, we're needing some prayer warriors here. Jim is such a special, loving, giving person. He just does not deserve all that has befallen him.

Maryq, you're not alone in being the hexi holdout. Take a guess how I know.

There is a smell in the house and Ican't track it down. I have been through all of the downstairs rooms and am wondering if I need to venture upstairs, into the land of i seldom go there.

Would like to find it today.

All the guys are off the farm. I am doing laundry. I laid out more stuff for my trip for next week end. By the way, there were 7 spots open in the class, if anyone else is interested. The more the merrier.

Sandy, off to look again for what stinks-hoping it's a simple thing like the boots in the kitchen..

Velda no I'm not a longarm quilter, but you can do the same quilting on a small maching too.

Maryz I agree with you about coping. Hang in there.

The last two days have been crazy, and it won't end until at least Tuesday--nothing critical... just visitors and traveling.

MaryZ--my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! Can't believe so much at once!!!

Talk to you all later...

Hi, Pals!

We're home from the hospital. My brother looks like death warmed over, is still in a vent and in a cervical brace, but he's through surgery and docs say it all went well. he'll be on ventilator until tomorrow but hopefully we're on the upswing. Thanks you SOOOO much for all your prayers!! I'll let Terry (my SIL and one of our silent forum members) that you were all praying for them.

Vicky, love your photos!!

xoxox to all!
