Re: Happy Easter Sunday
Good Easter Morning!
What a beautiful day I have here - the sunrise was beautiful!
Today is Church and then over to Matt's for dinner and play with my little boys and Emma. Matt is speaking in Church in his Ward, he wrote a wonderful Easter sermon. He read it to us last night and wanted our input -
We hunted a dozen furniture stores yesterday and wore me out! We didn't find any bookcases at the main furniture stores, but did find a wonderful one that the company will customize to our size and colors. I had been leaning toward just a dark cherry stain, but now have gone the complete opposite and will have it painted - wait - drum roll - red! Not a bright red, but a dark red. We also found the paint color for the rest of the house - it is called - Butter - a pretty soft yellow that will look great with the bookcases. So what walls are to be painted yellow have been decided and the wall that is in the kitchen that will be red. I have a painting of a barn that we bought for my birthday that has the colors we are working from for the decorating scheme. I have worked from fabrics before too.
Well I am half dressed for Church and need to finish

Have a great day
Hugs

Re: Happy Easter Sunday
Happy Easter everyone, Yes, I have been really missing in action. My neck is really giving me a problem and I am sure that quilting and embroidering doesn't help it. But life goes on. So I will stop whining (it doesn't help) and visit with you all.
Can you believe that we have to take Luke to a dermatologist?? I have never heard of anything like this......leave it to the good ole devil dog. He hss a rash on his back and we have been treating it for the past 6 months with meds and shampooes. Nothing has helped, so the vet has referred us to a dermatologist. Hmmmmmm wonder what that bill will be like. Oh well, he is going on 3 in May and we can't let this go on. But a dematologist for a dog.
I have been working on my soon to be new granddaughter's baby quilt and started embroidering snowmen blocks for a throw for two of my older granddaughters for Xmas. I want to make 7 altogether, but have not decided what to do for the 4 boys. Maybe sports.
I, also, have been taking computer classes for Embird which is a program for designs for my embroidery machine. Talk about feeling dumb. But I push on. LOL
I read your posts most days and you all sound so busy and happy. That is so great. I am so far behind in my BOM with Judi, but maybe this week I will try to catch up.
MaryQ- I HATE, HATE to hear they are giving you so many problems at work. You hang in there and don't let them push you out until you are ready. They want you to leave on your own so you can't collect unemployment ....what rotten people. Don't let them make you so depressed. They are jerks and you are one of the hardest workers. A lot of employees would stay home and use the snowy roads as an excuse, but not you. Others would not work holidays so parents can be home with their children. I could go on and on, but I hope you get the idea. You are wonderful and don't you dare let anyone tell you differently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chriss, Here I am. This RA in my neck is really a pain. But refused to get the surgery. It sounds over the top to me. Hope you have the best Easter ever. You are always in my thoughts and I am always looking for your posts.
MaryZ - So the room is painted and the baby quilt is done. I just know that you DO NOT ever go to bed. You are like that energizer bunny, you keep going and going and going. When Ken gets our trip all planned out, I will let you know the approximate date we will be in Washington. I think it is sometime in August.
Well we are spending the afternoon with 16 of our friends and it is going to be so much fun. BTW, most of the ladies are quilters..need I say more, LOL
Hugs to all,
Carole

Re: Happy Easter Sunday
Good Sunday and happy Easter! He is risen
I got up at o'dark hundred to go to the first service at church. I knew I was in for it when I made my coffee wrong. Sure enough, I spilled half of it on myself and the furniture. Oh my!! Since its a latte with a cup of milk, I had to work fast to get it all up. UGH.
So after church I went up to take.a nap, and now I feel human again. We're leaving for my DS3's house for linner (2pm is too late for lunch but too early for dinner). I hope y'all have a blessed day. Xoxo Sharona

Re: Happy Easter Sunday
Happy Easter all! Just DH and me today. That is the one of the bad things about having your kids live half way across country. I went to church this morning and am now watching The Bible on the History Channel since I only saw parts of it before. I am making spiral ham, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, and my mother's homemade yeast rolls for supper. If I didn't make the yeast rolls for DH he would probably have a fit, but they are good. They take a long time but are worth it. Well, better go and get more done. At least the sun is shining a little today.

Re: Happy Easter Sunday
A great church service this morning. Reminding us of once again of what today is about.
The grands and their parents are here. We had a nice meal, and now dgd and myself are watching the wizard of oz. The rest of the crew is watching something else. DH is down for a nap.
We have a skunk who has taken up residence under or in one of our buildings. The dogs found him this morning. Since we have been home another one has been sprayed. he is laying in front of the front door and looks miserable. Bath time coming soon, but using the garden hose..I will be heading for the vicks shortly.
Life is good and we are blessed. Only 3 weeks to go till, well, I won't tell..
Sandy, off to see the poppy's put folks sleep..

Re: Happy Easter Sunday
Good evening from down on the farm. Sandy, I think I know what happens in 3 weeks. Well, I wrote a fairly long post for me these days and as I was typing along, it just disappeared. This time, I know I didn't hit the wrong key. I was a typing teacher for 30+ years, but sometimes computers rub me the wrong way--especially this laptop. I go in the early morn for my cataract surgery. I had bad dreams last night and one of them was that I had the surgery only to find it did no good and we had to start all over figuring out what was wrong. Guess I was a little nervous. Since I have to be up before six to get there, I just finished my shower. No make up in the morning. DH just asked if I thought we would make it through the town we pass through halfway there with me wearing no makeup. Smart alec.
