Re: Happy 25th
Joanne it is a lot of fun camping I have a microwave ,a stove, an oven ,,air, A shower a tub, a queen size bed 2 rocker recliners, a couch and Sattalite tv. My kids say "Ma that is not camping". I say you are talking to a woman who doesn't "DO" a hotel without room service!!!
Marymargaret, My nephew had a hip replacement at 26 yo he did extremely well and they told him the hips they use now last a lifetime. My sis had hers done 4 weeks ago and she is leaving for vacation with me friday 4 weeks post op. She is only walking with a cane and the Dr told her she could drive when she felt up to it. So don't be too scared if they say replacement. Both my nephew and sis say they are out of pain now..By the way my nephew is a fireman and was back on the job full strenght in 6 weeks.
Q7 please post a picture when you are finished too...It is one of the first places I go in the morning.
Cindy how much longer before you can retire? I think you will love retirement.
Everyone else here today....have a great one..BBL....Jennie how are you doing? Nancy Pam and Wesig too???

I am feeling better so I guess I have to go to work today. I have a student on Wednesdays from Cal State Fullerton so I have to be on my toes with all of my groups
or maybe I can have her work with the kiddos today and observe...
Valerie I just sent you a pm regarding special education
It was nice sleeping on and off all day yesterday but now I feel like a slug

maryq-my younger daughter's best friend had a hip replacement just before Christmas and is already back rowing for Cal State San Diego's women's crew team. She is only 19. Younger people have a faster recovery then the folks in their 70's. Especially when it is elective and not due to a fracture

I'm here:) Still have to put blocks together for MIL's quilt. Units are in rows, working on sewing rows together into blocks. Hoping to at least get it put together and pin basted today. If DH gets leave(we should know by this evening if he is) then we'll be leaving on Fri. to go to SC so I need to have it quilted by then(I can do binding in the car on the way there)

Morning ALL.
Cloudy and very over cast here this morning.
I rather have sunshine.
I don't know yet what I'll be doing today.
I have started to make a 'to DO' list for myself everyday.
Usually I finnish that list 80% or more.
Leo is calling me. He gets lonesome without his song bird friends there with him.

Well, I'm home again today because the crud is still creeping. YUCK
It is a gorgeous day out, the kind that will fool you into thinking spring is coming. I know better.
Grammie - Where do you live. Are you in Ohio, Ill, or Ind. I gather from your post you can't be too far. I quit camping several years ago. The only way I would start again was if the camper did NOT have a kitchen. I'm not going to cook on vaca when I do as little as possible at home.
Think I will sew some this afternoon. Might as well do something constructive.

Re: Happy 25th
Good morning all, finally brewing a pot of coffee up here in Alaska. I've had 6 sick little muffins this week, and the smallest (Susanna) has had a fever on and off for 2 1/2 days now, YUCK!
Don't know what sewing I'll get done today, probably more scraps, just have a bunch of blue skinny strips I'm sewing together to maybe make a sashing for son's quilt.
I posted "another wash question" in the fabric questions about my MIL quilt, so if any of you can help me there, that would help.
Do you know how to square up a 12.5" block with out a square that size? I have a 6.5x12.5 ruler, but that dosen't seem to work very well for squareing up...
