Good Morning all!
I am sooooooooooo glad it's Monday, lol. DH is back to work. The holiday things are all tucked back into their boxes, I am getting caught up that mountain of laundry that was threatening to take over and even getting a little mail taken care of. I seriously am hoping to pop into my sewing room here in a bit.
BUT WAIT!!!
I remember now! My LQS had a 25% off sign in the window when we drove by yesterday after church!!! Hold the phone Margaret! I just may have to go check it out!!!
Back in a bit.........

Good Morning Everyone
I cut a bunch of material for pillow cases last night so my project for the day is to get them sewed. It's a good way to used up my pieces that aren't quite big enough to anything with, but too big to be a scrap.
We had a snow storm last night, we must have gotten 4 inches. The trees looked like they had dollops of icing on them. At some point it must have started raining because the snow is almost gone this morning. The road out front is all slushy.
SewSew At least it warms up enough to use your summer clothes LOL
Sewbug - Sounds like a fun day
beccasmom - The grass is always greener....I stay home with my Mom and I wish I could go back to work. You miss the interaction with people.
grammiequilts - Hope things get better for BIL
Georgiapeach - If you are going to be in your jammies when the mailman comes at least put on your boa and tiara

Hi everyone! I'm at work today - boring. Had to take my car in because the 'check engine' light came on. Nothing wrong and the light re-set itself. They didn't charge me anything for putting it on the diagnostic machine. That was a good thing that happened today. When I get home I'll start another load of laundry, cook dinner, then get in my sewing studio. My weather is like Dew-Dew's: Saturday it was 82* and humid then sometime yesterday a cold front blew thru and it won't get over 45* today and it's cloudy and dismal. Lots of people here are sick, my BFF, my sister, and my boss. Knock on wood I'm feeling fine.
Sounds like everyone is glad the holidays are over and you can get back to your sewing. Me, too.

Good afternoon....Got all the Christmas bins put away and the wreaths packed up...I need something for my front door it looks bare...No sun gets it so maybe a valentine wall hanging...That will have to go on my Feb stashbuster list. Well I must run to the store and then I will sew for the duration. Smile...It makes people wonder what you are up to....

GP, my husband calls it our new winter wear. I plan to take down Christmas stuff today. I am washing the fabric for my sons wedding quilt so I can start getting that cut out. I need it done by May 2. Then I am making all the girls spa bags. A free pattern I got at Better Homes and Garden site years ago. Very easy. Have a good day ya all.. Geri

Good afternoon from sunny, chilly SW Pa....Temps are only in the 40s but it sure is a pretty day....I made stuffed manicotti (sp) for 112 in the Meals on Wheels kitchen and then DH and I delivered to 23....
Not doing much this afternoon....DH said, 1 of us has to go to Petsmart for cat food and I'm hoping it's not me....Now if there was a JoAnn's next door, I'd jump at the chance....I'm beginning to think these fur babies are eating way too much and probably eating better than we are...
I should be taking down the rest of the decorations while the weather is decent but really not in the mood...Will get to it one of these days....
I might go upstairs and hibernate in the sewing room....
Enjoy the rest of the day, everyone

Re: Monday 1/5/09
Hi all making progress on my baby quilts....stopped in to say hi....My SIL called and my DBIL is doing a little better....My DH still doesn't know if he going or not I haven't decided if I'm going or not. My DD called she has talked me in to joining weightwatchers with her...My ins will cover it so I guess I have to go....I need to lose at least 35#s So here I go....I HATE dieting. it is just no fun...And I love to bake and that will be out for 16 weeks too:(
But I know I will be better off and my joints will thank me. I will try to get out and walk at least 10 or 15 minutes a day when the weather permits...my arthritis has been bad lately Its becuase I'm not moving enough. BBL

Hey, howdy, folks...
Just taking a break from trimming up my geese...trying to stretch my upper back a bit while I sit here. I am stuffing my face with white cheddar popcorn from one of our Boy Scout friends...yum! The yellow cheddar isn't anywhere near as tasty as the white; go figure!
The girls and I played some games for a little more than an hour this morning. We got Rummikub for Christmas and we all love it; we also played Spoons and Zitternix (sort of like pickup sticks, but trickier).
I need to get off my derriere and go reboot the laundry...wheeee. A real exiting day around here...LOL! I love my at-home days, though!

We have had 2 inches of snow so far this afternoon yee haw!
I went to the grocery store to get some hot chocolate and fell on my right side when I slipped in the snow in the parking lot.
I am bruised but not broken.
