Hi everyone!

Tonight is the annual "Trains of Williamsburg Christmas Walk". DH and I are on the committee (for the past 10 years!), but the work is done. Yesterday I made little pumpkin pies in tart pans, lemon crisp cookies and some raspberry swirl cookies (have to bake them today) to sell at the administration building tonight to raise a little money for the committee. DH has his train set up in the Insurance office in town and will man that tonight while I run around town spending money! It's a fun event. Alot of the businesses have train displays and give out hot chocolate, coffee, etc. Santa will be seeing the kids, the Fire Dept. has free fire truck rides, and we have a train raffle. Whew!

Guess I better go bake cookies!

Hi Everyone!
After two days of surprizes and things not going as planned, I hope today is better! I went for my regular eye exam on Wednesday with some vision problem. He discovered that I had bleeding at the back of my eye and had had a "stroke" in my eye. He sent me to a specialist. The specialist ordered blood work which took me all yesterday morning (and trying at three different labs) to complete. Then I called my regular doctor and he wanted to see me and ordered two other tests, one of which I completed yesterday. I have two tests next week then it will be back to the Doctors. It has been a bit scary! I have never had high blood pressure, nor diabetes, I take a statin and baby asprin. The Doctors are working hard to figure it out and the specialist feels he will be able to save the vision in my eye. My sister had a stroke in her eye last year and has lost her vision, however she has high blood pressure and diabetes.

I did get some good news though my quilt is ready for pick up at the long arm quilter at the quilt shop and the shop hop starts today.

Good morning,
Cold here today too! The water line that runs to the toilet froze up yesterday. Well, I heard the pump running and ran to investigate. Yep, it broke the line, so I had a flood in the bathroom. Now the water is turned off till dh gets home. We forgot to plug the heat tape in. Fortunately I am used to things like this in the winter, so I have plenty of water out. What a way to begin the day! LOL

Things can only get better, right? I sandwiched our grandson, Ashton's quilt last night. I hope to start handquilting it in a bit. I also have a little bit more sewing to do. My dh is grumbling at me because now I am putting myself under pressure to get so much done in less than 3 weeks. Ehh, I work better under pressure. LOL Anyway, everyone have a good day. I am off to sew!

Good morning friends! I am planning on sewing today. I finally did yesterday for the first time since I got home from the hospital. I just didnt have the energy and I was getting depressed. BUT, Im back at it now! Wheee! Have a great day all!.

I woke up at 7:30 this morning after going to bed with a migraine last night at 7:30 I feel better now so I guess I better get some grocery shopping done or we will have to start eating the food storage wheat and I don't have a grinder yet so that could be hard to digest ;O)

Man it was cold this morning 20 degrees, it has warmed to a balmy 24 I wish I could lose the 10 pounds I gained through my surgery down time so my coat fit properly. SIGH!

Soooo I better get that list made and get my behind to the store before I have to take Wade to preschool at 12:30

Wow, it's great checking in here every morning just to see what everyone is up to. The train party in town sounds like fun, & for our one with the eye problem, sorry to hear that! How scary & I hope it all gets better for you soon! Oh know, a frozen water line for the toilet no less, how awful can that be, yikes! Good luck get that fixed soon! Me, I did a few chores & caught up on email, so soon I will be quilting some more on this quilt. Would be nice to finish the quilting today, but time will tell. Put some shrimp for dinner later, unless DH decides he wants something else, since he is having lunch out at work today. I really like working on my quilting out here in the frontroom, lol, this could become habit forming, lol!

It was 28' here a bit ago & we are suppose to get up to 44' & we have a bit wind blowing, but not too bad. Good day to stay in & quilt, but then again, anyday is good for that, right!

It is 19 here so far this morning. This is just too cold and it is not going to get much warmer today or through the weekend. We may have our first accumulating snow next week so that is sure something to look forward to driving in NOT. I am now ready for spring LOL.

Ladies, it sounds like all of you are in the groove today! Best wishes for safe travels, good health (or better in some cases), and tons of quilting and laughter! I got to go home early yesterday due to snow (gotta love snow days) so got the rest of my decorating done, finished organizing my studio so now I can get to practicing my machine quilting before finishing one for my friend's soon to be arriving granddaughter. That's after I set up a table this afternoon for a craft sale I'm involved in tomorrow - last one this season finally!

Everyone be sure and take a "me" moment today to keep your joy in line!

My sister, daughter and I are going to the Victorian Country Christmas today. Four large buildings full of arts and crafts stuff. It is so cool... DD and I go every year, it is a lot of fun
