Good morning ladies. Not much going to be happening here today that I know of. Going to do some house cleaning and have a few errands to run then maybe some sewing.

Oasis you are so right about the barometric pressure causing headaches. I've been dealing with this for years and they have proved that this can trigger migraines. I know I had a doozy yesterday & the day before and we had a pretty good storm move through yesterday that brought thunderstorms last night. Foods can also trigger them.

Today is a beautiful day. There are some mighty powerful colors on a lot of the trees around or was yesterday before the storm moved through. Had to drive to the eye Dr and saw such gorgeous foliage along the way! I was imagining Batiks with all of the vibrant colors in it. LOL

I hope ALL of you have a great day and have some sunshine in at least a part of your day wherever you are. If you can't sew, mentally design a quilt or think of fabric & thread.

Morning all. Going to work at church for a while. Got my lotto blocks finished last night. Hope to square them up and put in mail this afternoon. It's a nice day here today. High is only going to be 75. Have a nice day everyone and happy sewing.

its about 30 degrees here and snow is pending Blech! I was thinking about building a fire but if I do that then I can't leave the family room without my 4 year okd in tow. SO I may just find a sweater and slippers.

Good morning

It is yucky and raining here so I can sew all day and not feel like I should be doing something else. I had a brain flash this morning (there is not many of them these days) and realized that I had enough squares left over from my rag quilt to make a couple of pillows for the couch. HURRAH The rag quilt looks so good in the living room, it needs pillows to match. To make it even better the pillow covers I made I made them so they would come off to be washed. Sometimes I am brilliant, so will be easy to switch out the covers.

Once I get that done I will go back to the quilting on neice #2 quilt. That is coming along nicely.

What do you use to mark lines on black fabric? I tried chalk and a white pen for fabrics and nothing seems to work. Is there a trick to it?

I went out at lunchtime to get gas and some lunch from Frisch's and got my gas for $1.77. I filled up my car for under $20. I was sooo happy about that. Now I am back at work finishing up my lunch hour and talking to you guys. I hope to be able to do a little something crafty tonight but this has been a pretty rough week for that.

Goodness Brenda, $1.77 is really good. Ours is still at $2.69 to 2.73.

Ho hum - I'm at work. Spent my lunch hour getting a pedicure. Now it's back to my payroll. It's overcast here today and we've had some spitting going on. The real rain is suppose to happen tonight and will usher in a cool front. It will be muggy 'til then - UGH. Tonight I have to pack for our little trip this weekend then maybe I can sew for a bit.

Sandy, I use leftover slivers of soap to mark dark fabrics. You know, after a bar of soap gets too thin to really use, but before it breaks in half?? Comes right out in the wash! And it makes a nice line.

Brenda, yesterday our gas was about 1.97--haven't looked today.

Still puny, doing nothing except dishes...and a nap.

Hi everyone. I worked on a couple Christmas stockings this morning and then starting cleaning. I'll be leaving for FL for a few days to see DS. I want to get things in order before I leave. That way when I get back I can start in sewing again. I got my Lover's Knot book today and am anxious to start one. Well I best get back to work. Lori
