Good almost afternoon,

The sun is shining, but it is cold here this morning. It got down in the 30's and we had frost last night. Now maybe these weeds will die down so my sinuses will clear up.

I am now at least half done on hand quilting Izabella's quilt. It is moving right along. I think I like simple quilting. You get done quickly.

Even though I have 4 quilts to get hand quilted before Christmas, I am feeling the urge to create again. I bought a jelly roll from Connecting Threads a couple of weeks ago. I am thinking of making a box in a box quilt from these. I saw how this was done last night on a blog, so I think I will give it a try.

I need to get some laundry done, cook dinner, do dishes, then my day is mine. (grin) Everyone have a good day.

Back from my haircut. I really like how she cut it this time.

The Hollywood Chihuahuas is a really cute movie. It's corny, but hey, it's talking dogs, rats and iguana's! George Lopez is really funny! If you like this type of movie, you will enjoy it. I sometimes wonder when I will outgrow the kiddie movies. :^) Hopefully NEVER! LOL

Well, I got back from JoAnn's, had some lunch and then came and sat at the computer.

The shopping trip was just that, "a trip".LOL It wasn't as crowded as I had expected, I guess because it is Thursday, but the lines were still there. They have a ticket counter(?), you know, "take a number please" and wait your turn, at the cutting tables. Some people were taking a number and then doing their shopping rather than stand in line and wait. It was great because they were calling your number on the PA system so if you were not at the table you knew when it was your turn. There were not many fabrics on sale, or at least not as much as I had wished for. What I was looking for was batting and was hoping they would have it at their 50% off price, but they didn't. In fact they have raised their prices, the batting usually was around $10.00 a yard now it is $12.99. It was cheaper to buy it in the package than by the yard. I guess their overhead has gone up since they are in a new area in a much larger building.

I think I am going to cut out another journal cover and get sewing again.

Ann - Just a thought, I was told by a LQS that the delivery price for batting equaled the cost of batting. Maybe that is the reason Jo-Ann's has increased the price. I guess I will use my coupons and/or wait until it is on sale.

Afternoon, everyone. DewDew - sorry your JoAnn's FART wasn't as good as you expected.

Sewcarolyn - I'm not watching the clock either but I only have 2 more hours to go before I can go home. I'm going to make a quick dinner and then sew.

I am at work now but thinking about sewing as usual. Tonight I have my guild meeting so that s/b fun. I always take my 7 year old DD.She is called a junior quilter and she feels just like on of the girls when she is there.
