Valerie, that sounds different. It might actually help give the strap more strength. What's the name of the pattern?

Valerie - when I've made diaper bags, I always stitch the handle in the seam allowance, just to the inside of the allowance, several times, back and forth, to reinforce the handle. And then topstitch in the ditch as more reinforcement. Never had the binding come undone. Made many bags that way.
In gathering my last totes to pack, I had to go through all the storage totes in the railroad storage room. Mr G was afraid that my Christmas totes had gotten mixed in where they shouldn't. So I was able to find my heirloom box of the blessing (christening outfits) of my kids. I wanted to find Aaron's outfit, which I did. Hasn't yellowed much at all. I'll soak it in magic potion. Magic potion? Clorox 2 and Dawn dishwashing soap, equal parts, mix in some water and let soak. Removes lots of stains, including formula. There isn't anything on the little suit. Somehow in 39 years, I lost a shoe, so I ordered a new pair, just like the one I still have. Sarah was blessed in the same dress I was. Already gave Matt his and still have Daniel's - he only has a girl! I also have the last quilt my mom made, which was Aaron's baby quilt. I'll pass that on too.
