Good morning,
We are suppose to go to 70⁰ today I think the last day of 70.
The leaves are not even changing they are just falling off.
Turkey breast was so good I have left overs for during the week for lunches and dinner.
As for today I need to do a few loads of wash then I will go upstairs and try to finish Minecraft.
I also need to get backing and batting for 2 more quilts.
Mary z I bet your getting really excited for your visitors.
Mary Q what a beautiful venue I remember when I got married everyone wore the same style maid of honor wore deeper color others wore a lighter shade they even had head pieces.
But I do like the different styles and shades.
Tonight's dinner will be bratwurst and I don't know what else yet.
Well that's it for me have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Good Morning Lois and all. I was up at 530 and am ready to go to the grocery store...I like to get there early they open at 6 but its still dark so I wait for day light, Between school and workers there is a lot of traffic in the 7 am time, I will wait til 8 now to go. I dont have much to get but it needs to be in person this time,,Today I will do the sewing room windows and shampoo the carpet in here, that will be my day,,,It sounds like a lot of work but it isnt that bad,,,and I needs to be done,
When ever I start major cleaning I always wonder how Katy is doing,,,we dont hear from her much,,,and all the farm stuff,,,There are so many we dont hear from much anymore....
Ken will be at his job for a few days,,He should be home thurs or fri,, But then again I never know with him or his job,,,And my DD is leavong for Vegas on tuesday so I may have the kids come for dinner , one day this week.
I am hoping my batting comes this week so I can finish the KTVC quilt. I did make 3 dresden plates yesterday and now need to decide the backing for a table runner,,,I just had to change it up around here and make something different, DP has always been one of my favorite blocks...Using up Christmas fabric,
Well I am off the sun is rising and soon it will be light enough for me...Have a wonderful day, Prayer for the needs of all...XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Re: Monday October 20,2025
Good morning,
52* and rainy here, going to a high of about 60*. Hoping the rain lets up. Yesterday a third of our big maple in front of our shop fell right over where Lee & Lara park their fifth wheel. Thank God they aren't here right now! It's not the neighbor's bigger maple on our north side that we've worried about for years, but our own tree on the south side. We had no idea it was so rotten. It missed our shop by inches. Bill and our friend, Tex, will start cleaning it up this afternoon. The part that fell is about 20 inches across at the butt so good sized. There are power lines right next to this tree so now we need to call the power co. to see if they will take down the rest of it. We hate to do that as it's the only shade on that side of the house.
VAL - I hope Plan A works for Tony. He must be in a lot of pain. Did they put in a PICC line? That was one crowded IV pole! Praying they've found the problem and it starts healing soon.
JUDI- you have a big day ahead of you - groceries, shampooing carpet, washing windows. But how nice all will be when you have it finished. So, did Ken come home last night or end up staying?
LOIS - You've been busy while your machine was gone! What do you do with your turkey leftovers? we usually do a simple reheat, then turkey tetrazzini, then soup. Sometimes turkey pot pie or turkey enchiladas. With just two of us, even a turkey breast provides a lot of meals!
TINA B - Chrismons - so not a typo! What a sweet tradition! I love that their collections will grow over the years.
JANA - what a wedding you missed! I bet it was spectacular - but I don't hold out a lot of hope for a couple to stay together when it's all about the wedding and not the marriage.
CHRISS - So nice that you were able to take Judy on that long drive. I know your dad loves her but even that short respite gives him a chance to refresh his caregiver role. And is your stove in? Sink? You and I could have a race. You would win. Scottie HATES to be brushed. He should never have been born a sheltie with a 7" long coat.
MARY Q - that was a beautiful venue for a wedding. Did you have a good time? Different shades of fall colors for bridesmaids dresses sounds lovely. My wedding (1971) was four identically clad attendants (royal blue satin), but I'd do it so differently if I were planning a big wedding now. I think let each person choose their own dress, perhaps in different light spring colors. It's kind of fun to think about.
LORI - well, we're on to game 7. Rats! Starting from scratch all over again. Plus I was thinking Seahawks were playing yesterday, too. But they are on tonite. So we'll have two games to sweat our teams through. Scottie takes Galliprant every day. It's expensive, even at Costco prices. And so is the monthly Librela injection he gets at the vet. But they seem to help him. His back end collapses occasionally when he's going up the stairs, and he doesn't want to walk any more at all. I hate seeing them get old and/or arthritic.
LYN - I'm glad you're getting to visit your friends. I remember when you met and befriended them. Taking frozen lasagna and ice cream bars is a terrific idea - as long as you had freezer space in the MH!
What day do you plan to arrive at your house? I can't wait - for you!
I was texting with IRISH recently. Her life is full and happy. She has her gentleman friend (younger!) and is involved in helping him with his construction business occasionally. She's feeling good though her feisty sister is having some health issues. So Irish is helping her quite a bit. CHICKIE is doing the best she can with her 24/7 vertigo. Besides quilts, she is still making a special giant decorated cookie for all the birthdays in the family. That's a lot of cookies because just the littles number 13 - all under the age of 5! She is an artist with frosting and each cookie is decorated with a theme special to that person. TINA is still delivering anything and everything. Holly's baby, a girl, is due in about 3 weeks. That's all I got.
Yesterday I got my KTVC top together and strips cut for the first (of 3) borders. Today I plan to put that border on and cut strips for the second one. I'm also going to lay out all the sections of my Cathedral Windows and see where I'm at. I think I'm about 3/4 done. I also assembled a vegetarian lasagna for the freezer for when the vegetarians get here. And I did my exercises the hip surgeon gave me. Twice. Each session takes me about 1/2 hour, but I'm walking better! So that is part of my daily regime now. This morning I'm going to make some tuna salad, egg salad, and be ready to make grilled cheese sandwiches. Tex is coming over to help clear the downed tree and I want to have choices for lunch. Supper is going to be leftover pork with potatoes and gravy. We ended up eating leftover spaghetti last night.
Wishing everyone a good day. And prayers where they are needed.

Re: Monday October 20,2025
Good morning!
It's fall break here for the kids. Ethan will be staying with me this weekend. His braces come off on the 23rd and he's getting anxious for that to happen. Aaron and family are heading to St George to see Kate's family and the new baby Zion. All this means, it will be quiet out here at my house!
I have three shirts that I need to iron, the It's playtime! Sarah was over and needed some t-shirt ribbing I have. Sarah loves long sleeves and has long arms, so the sleeves are usually a hair short. So she decided to add cuffs to make them work. I have the same problem, just solved that problem by not liking long sleeves and never wear them! I don't even own a long sleeved dress or shirt! So today's accomplishment list will have, finish the bagging and labeling of the Kimberbell quilt kits and work on my JA.
Found the lights for the light tree on the deck. Between Daniel, Sarah and me, we've pretty much designed a plan to build it. It's a DIY that we've thought of, so have no instructions on how to. We'll wing it! The light strings are variable color and has a programmed setting that happens to match the big ones on the house. How perfect! This is what happens to a Christmas-aholic when they run out of room inside, the outside starts filling up!
Maryz - sorry about the tree, but it's a blessing that the kids are gone! Hint between two games, either flip the TV between commercials with the recall button, or check the score on the computer. I did that last night between the 9ers and Mariners.
Hugs,
Jana

Good Morning Girls
Ah.... here comes the sun!!! (wouldn't that be a great song title?
) It was kind of dreary when I first woke up this morning, but she's peaking out now!!
Lois.... wouldn't it be fun to share some wedding pictures here!! My bridesmaids wore the same purple dress and I made their head pieces--little bands with tulle veils. Looks so silly now! My sis-in-law at the time (BIL's first wife) made my nieces flower girl dress to match. One of Erin's bridesmaids was HUGE pregnant-- I don't think they even made Maternity Bridesmaid dresses or Maternity Wedding dresses, way back when we got married (1973 for me)
Judi.... Yesterday I kind of got on a kick of cleaning out desk drawers, way in the back was a "recipe box" I used to keep with all the QIAD gals addresses. It was kind of fun to go through it. NONE of the gals in the box are still here, except for you and Chriss. I know a few have passed away. I was just thinking about Katy the other day, as she always loved Secret Santa and I thought she might peek in this time of year. Thanks for the explanation of Ken's job.... I knew it had to be mechanical in some way.
Maryz... OH MY GOSH.... I can picture that spot where the tree fell!!! Is that the spot where Sue and Kenn parked when they were there when I was? Are L & L going to head south for the winter or hang around by you guys and take short trips. Lee pops up on my Facebook as a "friend option" OH there are SO many things I'd do differently if I was planning a wedding now. I joke about getting a different groom, but I think I'd still keep the same one. A lot of stuff we did because it made my Mom happy. Are you ready for the invasion of the veggie eating clan from Texas? How old is Irish? Glad for her to have found someone in her life that makes her happy.
Jana.... Having had braces twice, I can sure appreciate Ethan's excitement at finally getting them OFF. First thing I ate both times were a caramel apple!!! So if you see one, grab it for him, he will enjoy it!! Once you get your house all lit up for Christmas, I'd sure love to see it!! They used to have a contest in my town for the best lit up house. One guy even had to borrow power from his neighbor, with permission. My DEX put lights on the roof once and said he was never doing it again--can't say I blame him, crawling on the roof is scary!
Valerie... Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to hear that Tony is not doing so well. It has to be so frustrating waiting on doctors to come and around and make some kind of decision on what to do next. Even worse over the weekend. I will keep the prayers coming.
Chriss.... Oh yes a little deeper sink than before will make the install a little more difficult. My BFF learned that the hard way when her DH tried to install a new sink. When the plumber came to check out my situation, I showed him a picture of that sink, so he could plan ahead. There's a garbage disposal under there too we have to be sure to have room for---tho actually I could take it out and I wouldn't miss it.
Tinab.... I had to google the Chrismon's Ornaments. How very interesting! I might have to watch some Youtube things or check Etsy for patterns.. Not that I need another project!!!
OH dear I just found machine embroidery patterns for them!! I'm in trouble now!!
Not sure what the plan of the day is today. I think I spent most of yesterday trying to make sense of the drawers I cleaned out. Ok, I admit, I have a fondness for paper, tablets, spiral notebooks, post it notes ..... and found more little tablets that I didn't even know I had. So I gathered them all up and put them in box---now I just have to find a place to put the box. Maybe under my bed? I do need to clean off my big table and do some spelunking in my garage today. If it's warm enough I'll do a little painting project out there--won't take long. I broke down and ordered one small can of 505 spray so after that comes tomorrow I'll be able to pin and quilt a couple projects and finish them out!
For now I need to jump in the shower and hopefully get motivated to get something DONE today!!
Before I sign off, I'll go post some wedding pictures
Wishing you all the very best today!

Re: Monday October 20,2025
Lois, I bet it's great to be quilting up those tops.
Judi, it seems like we tend to get more done when no one is around. Don't go too crazy with the cleaning. You're making the rest of us look bad.
Jana, I bet it will be nice to have Ethan for the weekend. You should start your chore list for him now.
I bet he's going to want to make cookies while he's there too.
Maryq, Oh my...we are twins. I too have a fondness for all things paper. I had to stop buying them and use up what I have.
Maryz, just had the one day of rain and it's staying north. I like when the playoffs go 7 games. That means baseball is a little bit longer. Oh my I bet you glad L & L were gone when that tree fell. Sorry you're losing your shade. It will be nice for winter, but come summer I'm sure you'll miss it. Our boys love to be brushed. I too hate to see the doggies get older. Glad Scottie is hanging in there. Jacks leg is a bit better today. It's just slow going. Thanks for the update on everyone. I was just thinking about Tina yesterday.
Chriss, we finished the Halloween puzzle in 5 days. I pulled out a round puzzle with cats on it. It's seems much harder than the last one. That was a nice long drive. I'm sure Judy enjoyed it. Did you get a new coffee maker? I use a French press. No electricity needed.
Valerie, hope Tony is improving now that they found the problem. How are you holding up?
Jack seem a little better today. I'm missing our walks, so I may take one by myself in a bit. I do have line dancing tonight, so that will be good. Yesterday I posted one of my parents Christmas trees on a neighborhood website for free. A man and his 3 sons came to get it. He sent me a message saying it went together well with no missing parts and the lights work. So happy they will enjoy it this year. I think my parents only used it once or twice. It was 7 1/2 ft tall in a really big box. They bought a smaller one that was easier to manage. I like when someone else can use things and enjoy them, plus one more thing gone. I need to do a little vacuum and dusting today. Maybe a window or two as well. I have my watercolor class this afternoon, so I need to get busy. I think dinner will be grilled cheese sandwiches.
Have a lovely day.
