It was an early night for me last night, which means an early morning. And it only takes two early mornings before it becomes habit for the fur-boys. So now we're all getting up at 4am. Yaaawwwwnnnn;nn....
VAL - I hope your house will soon be back to normal. Sounds like your house sitter wasn't a fan of fresh veggies. If you ever do this again, just put a case of Dinty Moore Canned stew o the counter and some frozen pizzas in the freezer. Most men (and many women!) don't cook. At the most, they open and heat. Did he even realize he'd left your home in such a mess?? Or apologize?? And a new machine! Will this be your travel machine when you are able to get back to your LQS events? I hope you were able to find it on sale. I Googled it and it looks like a terrific travel machine though a tad heavy at 21.5#. My B480 weighs less than that. Maybe this little factoid will make Bill happier the next time he's toting mine around for me.
CHRISS - yay!! He's walking! By the end of the week, he'll be walking across the room! And then life is going to change for Mom and Dad! How was cardio rehab yesterday? Are you still loving it?
LORI - sorry, I misread. I thought you said there were no more games for you to watch. It would be fun if my Mariners and your Cubs were in the series this year.
MARY Q - nope - never woke up in the middle of the night with a song in my head. But math! I'm always doing math in my head - all night long. Quilting math. Awake or asleep, I'm doing math. I think I'd rather have a song! And remember I gave Bill a choice of lasagna or pork chops? You'll never guess what he chose - split pea soup!! He doesn't even care for it that much (though it's my all time favorite soup). So that's what I made. Now to see what he chooses for tonite . . . .
JANA - Poor Stuart! I bet he is hurting! Hope his elbow heels properly. Is he still doing the same job?
FLO - Is your company still there? If so, what's the plan for today? When my sis and DBIL visit, Allan likes to do chores - like build things, wire things, wash vehicles, etc. Funny guy!
DIANE - glad the worst of the storms seem to be missing you. Judi's (and mine) log cabins are from Kansas Troubles Vintage Christmas pattern (KTVC) and kit. They have 1" gold cornerstones running diagonally through the block. There are only 4 LC blocks in the pattern. I think Lori and Val are doing the same quilt.
JUDI - you had a busy day yesterday! Did you get any sewing tine in at all?
LOIS - any word yet on your machine? Or is it even in Utah yet? Have you tracked it?
Yesterday we walked into CVS Pharmacy and asked if they took walk-in's for flu/Covid shots. And yay, they did! So that's now off our check list. Now we'll be covered if the A-Team visits. It takes at least 2 weeks for both those immunizations to take full effect so we didn't want to wait for our appointments in mid-October. I worked on the four log cabins in KTVC. I have one done and the other three half done. I'll get them finished this morning. Other than my walk, I have nothing on my calendar today. But starting tomorrow, it's going to be busy, busy busy through Saturday. I have an appointment every day and on Sat we're going back to Oly to help our broken friends with whatever they need. As for supper - maybe Bill will want those pork chops now. Or, I found a small pork tenderloin in the freezer. He has choices! Last night he threw me a happy curve when out of the blue he asked for split pea soup, my favorite, but he doesn't care for it much. But I make mine in the crockpot. I think he'd only had it from a can until he married me.
Have a super day!
