Good evening. Today was a good day. pretty low key as it will be for a couple of weekss.

I found these protein shakes (like ensure) called OWYN. Only What You Need. they are plant based and have no added stuff in them. They aren't bad, I had one for breakfast and it did the trick. Moose and I walked around a very little bit. And here I sit in the recliner with a fan trained on me and the windows closed.

A friend called and she will gladly stop at the grocery store tomorrow and pick me up some bread. Yep, carbs. Right now it's easier to make a turkey sandwich than a salad. So that is what is going to happen. I have paper plates and plastic silverware. I think I had my recovery pretty well planned out and am doing quite well.

Before I could leave the hospital yesterday they had to remove some fluid from around my heart. The puncture site is a little sore but not painful. I really thought I would be in more pain but anything I have going on is managed with tylenol. It's the shortness of breath that I need to focus on.

I think the surgeon thought I would look good in Oompah Loompah orange so painted my body that color. Not sure if it will scrub off easily but my mind is putting my body in sections, and I will start from the bottom up. It may take a few showers.

My trusty dog has not left my side, He's driving me nuts, but I love him.

Tomorrow will be the same as today, and sadly I haven't caught up to what is going on with all of you. Not sure that will happen very soon, I'm pretty pooped.

I never did get that pizza, but I've only been home a day and there are people I can bribe. I want a Papa Murphy's you bake combo. But would also love something already baked. Not sure why it's pizza I crave.

Maryq, my BP is in range but the low side of the range. They needed to elevate it so they could pull out the tube, at least that's how I remember it, so now I am back to being at the low side of normal.

Lyn, I would take that tough chicken, cut it up small, stew it in something that would make a great quesadilla, and make quesadillas with it. I think a chix queso sounds really good.

Judi, have a wonderful trip.

So I have learned something through all of this about nurses. They don't just hand out meds and change sheets like on tv. There are many different kinds of nurses and they all have different letters on their badges. I have a brand new respect for them and realize it takes a really special person to do that job. I will never take a nurse for granted ever again in my entire life.

You girls have a good night.

Chriss, so glad you're home and Moose is by your side. I bet he missed you a lot. It's time for you to relax and heal. Don't worry about the carbs for now. You'll get back to eating better once you feel better. Is your dad coming by to check on you? Nice that you have a friend that can pick up groceries.

Maryz, the dishwasher up the street hasn't worked for years. My dad just never replaced it. The refrigerators hasn't worked well for years either. So I'll see about getting new ones.

Maryq, did your dishwasher arrive?

I layered 3 quilts this morning. I finished quilting one and a quarter. Hopefully I can finish up at least one more tomorrow. I'm taking a watercolor class starting on Monday. I'm looking forward to learning something new. I'll also start up with my drawing class again this week. Dinner was ham sandwich.

Sleep well.
