Re: Wednesday September 3,2025
Hello Everyone:
Well today I had big plans to make my salsa and start getting things ready to pack for the trip. Well that didn't turn out as planned. I was reading about parking at South Bend Amtrak and the review wasn't that great. So DH and I took a ride down to the station to talk with the person is charge and see if maybe we wanted to park at the Airport instead, and take a taxi to the station. The Amtrak person informed us that they haven't had any problems with long term parking there and didn't know why it was posted otherwise. I looked back at the post and it was from 3 years ago. So I guess we will be parking at the station. That took a couple hours out of my day. On the way home we thought we would stop and get our flu shots. We have gotten at Wal-Mart for the past 15 years or so. Well today for some reason they said Medicare wasn't approving the shots. So I went home called them up and explained the delima, she put me on hold and called over to my Wal-Mart and got it solved for us. So back we go to get our shots. One went through but DH's didn't so he gave her his card and she input all the info, it finally went through.
Funny little side story..This lady came in behind us and said she wanted all 4 of her shots. They told her there were two people in front of her. She said I still want my shots, my DH said to the clerk does she want a distemper shot. I thought the clerk was going to die trying to hold back her laugh. When we got out to the car he asked me isn't that what the 4 shots are? I said yes but for dogs.
Oh well that is what took up most of my day. No salsa but we did get our flu shots. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Just a quick late drive through
Tried many times to get on earlier today but couldn’t. Thought I lost you all. Read all of everyone’s accomplishments for today, bravo to all!
Did a bit of sewing but more ripping than sewing and spent afternoon with BF doing hand work since Monday was National Embroidery day.
Them home, dinner and now back to sewing. Prayers up for all in need, the good Lord knows all. Great to see Chriss post. Sew happy you are progressing well. I must agree with her someone is always worse than we think we are.
Count your blessings,
Have a great night

Chriss -
Sounds like you are right on schedule. That's what we had with Mr G's surgery, same number of days. And the atrocious hospital food!. I stopped each night on my way home and picked up some take out. I'm with you on the meds. Advil is my fifth food group. Slow is the name of the game!
