Good Afternoon...I missed you all. Thank you QIAD for getting us up and running again, I have been busy,,doing house stuff,,,got the second flower bed de flowered,,,just mulch now. I will set some of my rocks out and maybe next spring some lawn ornaments...My second son helped a lot. I mostly supervised.
I have been working on the Vintage Christmas,,,3 done...it is a fun quilt, I like that each block is different,
I made a grocery run today and stopped at the farmers market got a huge head of cabbage for $1.50..so I decided to make stuffed cabbage, We had it for supper tonight with mashed potatoes and I have 4 more meals in the freezer...soooo good.
Tomorrow will be basement cleaning day,,,Ken the handy is not so handy cleaning up so I will dust furniture vaccuum the sofas and mop the floors...Hope he is done with sawing and sanding down there,,,He is building the upper cabinets with glass doors. He has a collection of antique glass he can use, that should all be done in the shop/// so hopfully the basement /man cave will stay clean. Or at least as clean as it can be, we leave fpr vacation a week from sunday, I am excited to get away, we rented a cabin on Lake Superior and I already have a list of things we can do. One of them is going to a Dark Park up there, With no light polution you can see the milky way and if we are lucky we may get to see the northern lights. And a few quilt shops too are on the list,,,
Hope you all have great evening,,,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Good day everyone! Wow, what a whirlwind that was. But glad to hear we are back up and running.

Jana Crenda is cutting her hair? How much shorter? Mine has been past my waist for some while (Yes I do sit on it on a regular basis) and I think it is likely to stay that way. My mother was adamant about me not cutting my hair so I don't. I do trim it a bit every couple of years but that is all. The girls at the Vacaville shop want me to get about 3 inches off. I will consider it when I get back from my trip.

Joan glad to see you post. Several of us are getting ready to take a vacation. Oh when will you be in Deadwood? We will be in Rapid City from late on the 5th through the 8th. That is only 45 min or so from Rapid (that's what the locals call it).

Maryz at MAD Monday we make charity quilts usually for the little ones. Kindergartens, hospitals, things like that. I have been doing a bunch of cleaning too. The back room is all straightened out and lot of progress on the rest of the house. Waiting for DH to do his messed up corner of the room. I have a list for him as he will forget.

Lois it seems as though you have been with us a very long time. I signed on in January of 2007. There is a way to tell but I don't remember how. Chriss can probably look it up may be.

Lyn which home are you home too. That's a good start on the sewing room. Yes, I agree, wish many of the oldies (LOL I don't mean age) would come back.

Lori looks like we joined about the same time. Imagine my shock when I figured out this morning it has been 18 years. Wow, nice to have friends that are that dedicated.

Chriss I am not sure if I should be happy or sad your surgery was changed. Las Vegas BIL is starting to have some issues with the mass. He said he is starting to pain and getting lightheaded. I spent a good part of the day on the phone with him talking him through straightening out getting his GI appointment. Despite his insurance giving him all the information the GI guy needed, they kept saying they couldn't find him. UGH! I thought for a minute, I should put Chriss in charge of this! So I told him to call the insurance company back, let them know the GI guy office was still messing around and ask for a different dr. He now has an appointment with someone else on the 2nd but he is to go to the ER if he feels he needs too. I am afraid he has been bleeding so long he needs a transfusion. He will let me know in the AM.

Flo yes prayers are being sent for DS1 but also for care of DGD. I can smell your baking from here!

Maryq yeah we are back, where are you?

Well I came home early from MAD Monday as just wasn't into it today. Too hard to focus when DBIL is calling me every 30 min. I wish I was closer. I need to figure out how we will manage this from afar.

Now to go see about dinner, I did by the way send a thank you to QIAD. Was sorta going to copy you and Lori, guess we are having I have no idea what! LOL

Lori, we might starve if we keep this up.

Valerie, I made tuna salad yesterday, I added lots of boiled eggs, some sweet relish, red onion, celery and mayo. It's what's for dinner.

Got my floors mopped, now I can have dinner and wait till it's cool enough to water.

Good night girls,
Chriss

Valerie, that sounds yummy.

Chriss, I ended up making tacos. I have leftovers for taco salad another day. Glad you didn't starve.
