Re: Wednesday August 13,2025
Diane, I sent you a PM earlier this morning with the tracking information including the address I sent it to. Hopefully you haven’t changed your address.
If you meant you had something coming from California, that is not from me unless it took the longer route. I sent it priority mail from Washington.
Sure hope you find it!

Re: Wednesday August 13,2025
Good morning. What a beautiful day today is going to be. We have broken out of the triple digits and for a week will be 99 or lower. woo hoo, a cooling trend.
This morning I opened up the house and saw three black young kittens on a rock where squirrels hung out. I have some kitten food here so put some near the rock. My hope is that they will move in and be ferral cats and control the squirrel population. I've seen other cats stroll through the property so maybe they are moving in. I sure hope so.
Tonight is farmers market and $10 burgers. Not sure if my friend wants to go or not, usually if food is involved she's in.
Tomorrow I get my blood work done and am waiting on insurance to approve the cat scan. My parents and a couple of "neighbors" will be helpful in my recovery. I'm ready.
Carol, thanks. Glad all is well with you.
Lori, good, glad you'll pick me up on our way to crash Jana's party. I am not supposed to drive for a month after I get home. I'm also not supposed to lift anything over 5# for 6 months because the bone needs to heal. So I will need you to also carry my plate of food to a table because let me tell you, that food sounds so good I could probably eat more than 5# of it.
Lois, sorry about Billy's FIL. Not easy to face stuff like this, I'll add my prayers. Richard won't be here because his classes start next week. He might show up on a weekend or two.
Judi, good to know who is in charge with your velcro dogs. Too funny. Moose has been following me around a lot lately too. Drives me nuts. I go down the hall and he walks in front of me, and he stops at each room to see if I go in. He does the same going the other direction. Yep, he's quite th speed bump. I have a lot of faith in the surgeon. I've really researched him and like him. Thanks for the prayers
Diane, glad you had a successful surgery and are on the way to recovery. yay you.
Maryz, would be something if you were related to the PT person. Maybe you'd qualify for a family discount. Are the white bases on the CW quilt 5 inch charms? or is that too easy? Cali isn't a bad state, I like it here. Don't be too upset with Cali, like everywhere, it's not all bad. Moose and I appreciate your prayers.
Flo, you are a kind person. I notice that about you a lot.
Valerie, I agree about stupid people running the state, but he was elected, impeached, and re-elected. I have to say we have some real crazies in all offices in this country, they just keep getting voted in. What does that say about the voters? Guess it's a crazy country all around. So what was actually needing to be replaced in the truck? hope it wasn't too major and can be done soon. I have Geico car insurance and when we've needed them to take care of things they did it quickly. Love the DGS quilt, it's going to be loved. Sorry about DBIL. My surgery will be scheduled as soon as the insurance approves it. It was submitted for approval today.
Jana, how often does that vac need emptying? Here I would assume the dog hair alone would fill it up often. I laughed when you said the quilt was hung backwards. Do men really pay attention? I'll ask about PT, never thought of that. I will have help, I might get Jerry's walker out of the garage for just incase I need it.
Maryq, I will probably stay at dad's until I am sure I can go home. I think the only thing I am not thrilled with is the recovery time. I just got off the phone with the guy who handles my IRA and he's had this surgery 3 times over a period of years. I am getting a lot of information from a lot of people and I am hearing it all. I also have people nearby that can help if I need it. It's quite good to be me.
This has taken me a long time to type. Calls, texts and an email disrupted me. Been a busy morning. time to close up the house and start my day.
Dinner will be $10 burgers after the farmers market, woo hoo.
You all have a wonderfully great day,
Chriss

Chriss this is the revised estimate from yesterday. They have not been able to examine the turbo. They will look at that when they fully take the truck apart. If there's metal in there, that's a whole other story. The part alone refurbished DH said it's probably close to $2000.

Valerie, wow. It sounds like, once it's done your a/c and radiator shouldn't fail you as you travel. I'd have Judi bring the stuff from Detroit. Have Lori bring the stuff from LA. Not sure where "stuck" is located, but lets hope it's in Utah so Jana could bring those parts along with the leftovers from her party and I will just cruise on over to your house for inspection.
