The back up plan would be to take my car. But then, they would probably charge me storage for the truck until I got back from the trip to go get it

No more a prisoner! Street is re-opened. Ethan and Tanner did a good clean up of the gathering area and set up my firepit. Then Ethan helped me in the house. He washed upper cabinets and the baseboards in the public areas of the main floor. So all that's left is dusting. No more writing your name on my bookcases! So I'm done early. No one better make a mess!

Sarah just purchased all the food and passed it out to where it goes. We think that there will be about 60-70 here for the party. Our favorite BIL will be here. He thought he'd be on a trip in Canada, but that got canceled last minute, so he'll be here on Thursday. He's been Mr G's best friend, all our married life. Even married our ditzy sister.

Dinner will be a semi sit down. You pick and build your plate from a buffet table, then pick a table to sit at, no formal place card seating, we're casual. The buffet will be set up with the meats in the middle, where you'll start. Go one way and you get bbq with all the sides, go to the other way, you get tacos and all their trimmings. Your choice. Later the desserts will be out. Good friends, family and games, lots of fun I think! Hope the guests will enjoy the party. I always panic about these things.

So I'm tired and sore and have time to recover before Saturday.

Good evening.

I have been to the cardio surgeon and the decision has been made to have open heart surgery to replace the aortic valve with a cow valve. But first I need a cat scan of my heart. The insurance needs to approve everything first. I have to say, this is exactly how I wanted it to happen. I've researched the different methods and valves, and this is the way I wanted to go. I do wish the recovery time was shorter but I am retired so I have nothing but time.

Lyn, I forget which state Richard is in but he's doing some training for his work. Sorry Minnie was sick yesterday, Moose got sick too. Give Minnie a gentle scratch between the ears for me.

Valerie, 10 hours has passed since you wrote about the insurance and truck. I hope the issue is resolved and things are moving forward. Guess as a plan B you need to get your oil changed and your car ready for travel. Sorry friend.

Jana, your party sounds perfect. Glad BIL could come. I certainly hope we see a good family picture so we can figure out who is who. We've watched those kids grow up, It will be fun to see who we've been aunts to, and with you and Michael, it will be fun to see who we are a sister to.

Hey girls, did you hear that? Jana is going to have 70 people at her party, we can crash it and she wouldn't even notice. Lets all meet here and head on over.

Well, that's me. I think I will go work on my jig saw puzzle and have a peach. You all have a great night.

All is well here.

Chriss, glad things are moving forward and they can fix your heart. How long is the recovery? We should definitely crash Jana's party. The food sounds amazing. I'll pick up up.
