Wed, June 18
Good morning from an RV park along the freeway thru agricultural area not far from Kennewick Washington. We were in the Yakima Canyon night before last, camped alongside the peacefully flowing Yakima river. So pretty, so quiet.and for the first time in the 33 years we have been camping there they closed the area for noxious weed spraying so we had to leave after just one night and decided to mosey on down the highway and stay in this par.k. We will move on to Walla Walla, only about 70 miles, later this morning. Three nights there and we will drive home on Saturday.
I’m on my phone and was able to read the last two days of the forum while we traveled yesterday. Chriss, so glad your dad didn’t get run over but that had to be a scary couple moments for you thinking he had.
Our weather has been about mid 80s but still pretty comfortable. Spent some hours just sitting outside our RV in the shade yesterday reading books.
Hope you all have a very nice day! I think Bill is going to get out the computers in Walla Walla
Hugs

Nice morning in Fergus Falls, MN.
MaryZ, Bummer that noxious weed spraying occurred during your stay. Will they refund or S.O.L.? I post from my phone most of the time, just takes a little longer. I've tried audio but it messes up spelling stuff.
A curiosity question for today: Do you text on your cell phone with one thumb or are you a two thumber or a swiper on the little keyboard??
Valerie, That is a pretty quilt and since it carrys your name, you should make it.
We were in hotels a lot last year and I have found Best Western to be a nice chain with reasonable prices. I joined the rewards thing they have and it has saved me money. I look up the hotel I want to stay at and call them directly, not the reservation 800 number.
If your travels take you on I-70 through Kansas, watch for a long shed on the south side between mile post 327 & 328. The farmer has painted it:
No God No Peace
Know God Know Peace
Chriss, Did Dad know he had lost his phone? What a scare to think he was hurt.
MaryQ, I'm sorry to be so close but far away.
Time to get moving. Hope it's smooth sailing at the Border.
Have a great day.
Lyn

Lyn, I hope your travels go smoothly today as you cross over into Canada.
Maryz, are you meeting up with friends? 70 miles is a nice short drive.
I'm off to the alpaca farm and then wine tasting today. Yesterday's party was fun.
Have a lovely day.

Lyn,
I have seen that phrase before. So true. And to answer your curiosity question, when I text or post here on my phone, I use the dictation option. Goes much quicker. I tried to remember to proofread, but sometimes forget. I also try to enunciate clearly, but sometimes I forget that too. But if I do use my fingers, I use my right index finger.

Good morning I was busy running the vaccume and doiing dishes, I managed to sneak in a cup of coffee and cane up here to finsih an embroidery block for the honeycomb quilt. I moved to a wool table runner which only has a few stitching to do before I can bind it and be done. Another UFO in the books...All these hand projects I have to do...But I promosed myself I would at leat get the smaller ones done before I cut a new quilt. I have all the fabric here for a new quilt and it is staring at me...I mean really staring,,,,,
I purged out a little cabinet that was full of "stuff" half used candles. Essential oils, more old pictures, and 3 cigar boxes full of old newspaper clippings., I also dusted all the furniture in the living room...So I am pretty much "house worked out" I really need to haul all the purge to the goodwill or salvation army before it gets put back into places it shouldn't go...Maybe tomorrow..
I need to take Val to therapy today about 1230 be back here about 3 in time to heat up supper///I think left overs..,today,
I talked to Denise (Doucefluer) she is doing well...getting back to quilting again...nice to know our friends are still at it,
It would be so nice if our old friends came back on here to chat so we know they are ok...XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I text with my finger and sometime with the microphone,,,I have seen speedy texters using 2 thumbs I am truely in awe of them.LOL

Good morning!
Up, dressed and fed Mr G l. I have a med timing scheduled to which I need to follow precisely. Remember, not 9nly am I dealing with a engineer, but a railroad man. Trains are time sensitive! LOL! It's another hot day here too. We are a dry heat - high desert. That is, until a thunderstorm rolls through, then we're muggy for a few minutes.
We finally got everyone on the same page and my dental surgery is scheduled for July 8th. Praying my BP stays down this time.
Not much here. Will just get uglies done and maybe get something sewed.
Save travels,
Hugs,
Jana

Good Morning Girls
Happy Wednesday! Already... man the weeks just fly by! I heard the Target has some school supplies out already!!
Maryz... Bummer that you had to do a "bug out" and change camps. I bet the view along the river was wonderful--the sound of water moving by is so relaxing!
Lyn.... Do you come through MN on your return to Colorado. With a little heads up I'd love to meet in Fergus if you have the time. It's about a 2 hour drive from me. I could find a cheap hotel and stay over. I generally manually type on my cell phone, sometimes swiping. Once in a while I'll use the voice command, but only if I have a lot to stay. I can text on my smart watch, but that will only work by voice---and I have to always proof read.
Lori... Oh boy wine tasting... count me in!!
Judi.... What quilt is staring at you? I go the new Block magazine and the Carrie Nation pattern is in it.... I looked and said "oh hell no--not doing that one again. It would be so good to see the old friends drop by---Velda, Joan, Izzy, Denise, Katy, Sue, Cindy. Once upon a time there were 40 gals in Secret Santa. I do notice that if my fingernails get too long it's much harder to text!
Chriss.... SO glad to hear it was just Dad's phone!! I once drove about 4 miles on the freeway with my phone sitting on the roof of my car!! Luckily once I realized it... I was able to retrieve it. Once I dropped it in a cup of coffee in the car--oopps new phone!
Valerie... If you don't go through Michigan to get to Vermont, will you have to go through Chicago? Have you ever driven in Chicago? Not a fun place to drive through!!
Time to crank up the music, heat up the coffee, wash a few dishes--then I have to call LG and explain to them what I need to get the part for my dishwasher---without losing my temper (again) They insist on one thing and my appliance service people insist on another!
What ever you do today--may it bring you joy!

Good morning. It's going to be a great day today.
I got a lot done yesterday. Did a little grocery shopping, got my hair cut, picked up documents that I need to see the neurosurgeon, and made some copies that needed making.
I bought a small 14" table top charcoal bbq. I get a daily email from Big5, it's their daily coupons. I got the bbq for $20. It's a tester. I don't need to fill my big weber bbq for just me and this smaller one is more my size. For $20 I will see how it goes and how long it lasts. If I need to upgrade I will.
I do have some small jobs needing to be done around here but nothing dire. Not sure what dad's plans are yet. Tonight I'm going to the farmers market with a friend. Afterwards we will go to dinner at a place that offers $10 burgers with fries on Wednesday's. Our farmers market is very small. It will take probably less than 10 minutes to go through the whole thing and my friend will probably buy pistachio's, and I will probably buy a head of lettuce. Yep, it's that exciting.
My dad doesn't know his phone is missing until he looks for it, then he calls me to use the find my feature and help him locate his phone. After talking to him he said he was getting something out of the back of his truck and set his phone on the bumper. He didn't pick his black phone off of the black bumper and he thinks someone saw it, took it and when they couldn't open it up tossed it in the street. He said he never went anywhere in his truck so it didn't fall off while driving. I'm shopping for a solution as soon as I am done here. He needs some kind of a clip on case thing.
Lori, how was the pool party? It really sounds like fun. I would have joined you but I don't own a swimsuit. You have fun friends. Did you say Jonathan was coming this summer? How's his house coming along. My stepmom won't do anything but play solitaire on her phone or go for a ride. I've shown her the color books and colored pencils, jigsaw puzzles, find a word books, counting things, sorting things and more. She doesn't' want the problem to be solved. By the way, I had a loaded baked unpoked baked potato last night for dinner.
Maryz, Glad the weeds got sprayed, will you take the same route home?
Lynn, when I text I either dictate or use one finger. have an uneventful border crossing.
Judi, thing about making rules like finish one thing before going on to the next is that you can break them. You are the boss of you, that means ice cream for dinner is also ok. It's good to be a grown up.
Jana, July 8th is not that far away, so glad you don't have to wait longer. We also have a dry heat. Hummidity makes my hair frizz and I look like a brillo head.
Maryq, I've been pretty lucky with my phone. It's usually in my back pocket or my purse, but I have left it on the charging pad in my car. Do you think your repair man could write up something for you to submit to LG? Or maybe LG could send you both things.? I once put a cake on top of the car while loading the car and failed to remove it. It flew off somewhere.
Dinner tonight will be burgers after the farmers market. Today will be those dang bathrooms, and perhaps gathering things up for the thrift store. Thursdays are senior days at the thrift store and it would be good to get rid of old stuff and look for treasures. Dad just texted me he will be here today. I need to have breakfast and am going to mimic MQ, turn up the music and get started
have a memory making day,
