Good early morning,

LORI - I'm so sorry about your little Molly. I know she was your sidekick. The hardest part of being a pet mom. But for the joy and love they give us while they are here, it's worth the pain of losing them. As hard as it was to let her go, I hope you know you did the right thing. Sending a big hug your way!

LYN - Weren't you just sitting out enjoying the sunshine on your deck and now it's snowing?? Gotta love Colorado! Have fun with Amanda and Maddox!

TINA - glad you are feeling better after your bout of food poisoning. Every year I say this is the year I'm going to repaint all my yard art. But I never seem to get to it.

VAL - I have been known, when I've made a miscut and there's no extra fabric, to dig little scraps out of my wastebasket and sew them together to make a new piece of fabric. Like Eleanor says, if you can't see a mistake (or a few extra seams!) when driving by at 5mph, then it works for me! I don't know what your Continentals are but I hope not a problem.

MARY Q - you are on the road today. Have a safe and fun trip - no accidents!! And snarfle that little Norah for me!

CHRISS - no, as a rule you don't need to wake up to take pills when ordered 4x/day. I simply divide my waking hours by 4. Take one as soon as you wake up, and one when you go to bed, and divide the hours in between for the other two doses. But then, with or without food? Can they be taken at same time as your other meds or should they be spaced apart?

LOIS - when you quilt do you do patterns or a freehand design like meander or loops? Just curious. If I quilt, I almost always do freehand meander or stipple (which is just a much smaller meander). If Bill does the quilting he uses computerized designs. I am so not a computer person.

JANA - I'm very familiar with the entropic state you described. Unfortunately. What Lori Holt pattern are you doing? I did a count yesterday and found, to my surprise, that I have 18 of her patterns! I haven't made them all but most of them.

JUDI - how is your son feeling? Is he still in the hospital? Congratulations on your DGD's engagement! Will there be a wedding quilt??

Yesterday was chiropractor again. When I came home I got busy and trimmed, bound, and labeled my NYB. I used a cereal bowl as a template and rounded the corners. The binding was 420". But it went fast by machine - 45 minutes. It's ready to go on the bed! Last night I finally finished up my Over the River embroidery and started sewing the blocks together that are the other part of that project. I will work on that today after I get home from my early morning dental appt. There seems to be a little black cat hair on the embroidered panels. Not sure where that could have come from . . . Also, someone probably needs to wash clothes today. That or go shopping for new ones. So I guess all y'all will know where to find me if you need me! We'll probably have pork chops and baked sweet potato and salad for supper.

Today is a National Law Enforcement Memorial Day. Most government flags will be flown at half mast in honor of those we have lost in the line of duty. Please remember them - and their families. 💗

I think this is supposed to be thursdays post.. but I get my days mixed up a lot.
Yesterday was spent at the hospital with DDIL Jennifer while my son had surgery,,,It was extensive...seems the first Dr who told him they wouldnt do surgery for 2 weeks was quite wrong, The orthopedic surgeon said it should have been done right away,,But it is done now and my son is resting at home...Minimal movement for 6 weeks...(yikes) But when my son came out he was telling every one he saw "I love you"...lol he gets that way from the meds. Even the nurse who brought him down to the car was the object of his admiration...
My ddil was happy to get him home and his kids will take turns staying with him during the day while she is at work.
We are going to be 80 today and maybe some rain later..I will be cleaning my upstairs bath room ( No window in that room) and the living room windows today, We never open these windows..so the storms stay in place all year, after those chores I will try and sew...Might make a chicken pot pie or something with chicken today, Either way a trip to the market might be in order.
Hope you have a great day.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

JUDI, thanks for catching that Wed/Thurs thing. It just seems to me every day is Wed, lately, for some reason. Glad your son is home and starting to mend. Is he the kind of guy that can sit around quietly for 6 weeks? I'd go crazy. Funny, my Bill reacts the same way to those anesthesia meds. He loves everybody! Your chicken pot pie sounds tasty. I was thinking pork chops for tonite but maybe I'll make the pie for tomorrow . . .

Good morning,

Lori so sorry about Molly, it is hard to let the furry kids go but sometimes it's best for them. I know you will cherish the memories.

Maryz my Continentals are my two high end Janomes. I have an CM7 and a CM17. They require updates to the software just like your phone or computer. This will be my first attempt so praying it goes well. There is how to info on line and a Youtube Video for instruction.

Lyn figuring out financial stuff can be a challenge. Glad you were able to make progress. Have a great time at the zoo. Zoo's are one of my favorite places to go.

Tina Uhm, wind and dirt days. Who would have thought. Our kids have no special days. Doesn't snow here, while we get wind and it can be strong at times, it is nothing like you guys get. I don't think flooding here even stops school. That is one good thing about living here.

Today will be trying to do the updates, sewing together a bac and maybe making progress on my Kira quilt. That though is dependent on me being able to do the update correctly. For now, off to the coffee pot and think about what to eat for breakfast.

Have a great day

Morning
Lori, so sorry about your Molly.
Been crazy here last few weeks. Iam still babysitting 1 day per week, but medical appointments made that 2 to 3 days. Joe had barn ceiling spray foam insulated yesterday, so it took us 2 weeks to empty barn. Storage behind barn full, garage full. A lot of the stuff will either go to dump or habitat for humanity store near here. Plus this cold I had just stuck around!
Today I am not sure what will happen. Joe has chiropractor appointment, plus he fell other day in barn. So may add VA appointment to day.

Good morning!

Lori - so sorry and sad about your little Molly. She was a special little kitty.

Today is starting out lovely, but we may start the normal routine of thunderstorm weather in the afternoons. Had a very noisy thunderstorm yesterday and a bit of rain. So starts the season of wait 5 minutes for the weather to change.

I tackled the entropy here and got a lot done. Still have a few messes upstairs, but they are easily tackled too. My new prescription got in and picked up and started last night. I never have long term meds, so this is a new chapter to deal with. Now to watch for any side effects. Mr G is already fussing about side effects and researching everything about this drug. That's his thing! I'll just take the pill and go on!

I'm hoping to get down to the Batt Cave.

Hugs,
Jana

Good Morning Girls

Whoever sent the rain this way ... Thank you! We have nice good old fashioned thunderstorm going on here this morning, but it should clear out pretty quickly so that I can hit the road with out driving in it.

Maryz... Thanks for the heads up on flags flying at half-mast! Sometimes I see them around town that way and never know why. I knew they did when the Pope passed, and Sometimes they do on September 11th. Yikes, 420" inches of binding!! Sewing down by machine sure was a lot faster than doing by hand! I bet that quilt looks awesome on your bed.

Judi.... I was thinking about your son last night and wondering how his surgery went. Glad to hear it was all good. Funny what anesthesia can do to a person. Once when I came out of it, I just felt like crying. I bet Dr.s a nurses could write a book about the different reactions people have coming out of it!

Valerie.... Now that you are retired and able to sew at-will... aren't you amazed at how much you can get done! So much more fun to be able to sew seven days a week instead of just 1! When I worked full time, on the weekends, one day was chore day and one day was for sewing!

Flo... When you moved from California to MO, did you bring all the stuff with you or have you collected since you've been there? How are your chickens doing?

Jana...Always a good idea to keep on the lookout for side effects. Very often they will diminish in the week or two . I am on BP meds as well and have never noticed anything different. My first BP med caused an almost constant tickle in my throat--which is common in the certain class of meds that I was taking. If you notice that, be sure to contact your MD as it's an easy change. I'll have to go back and look at your post from the other day--you mentioned a new Lori Holt pattern? I'm a huge fan and have done 2 of hers--tho I don't applique the way she does.

Lori.... So sorry to hear about your little Molly. She sure had a nice long life. While I'm not a cat person, I am a dog person and I know how hard it is to let them go. When it's their time it just kind of leaves a hole in your heart. I always says, I'm not going to get another dog until I know it can outlive me.

Tina... Hope you are feeling better! Did you get your pond filled in? That sure sounds like a lot of work!! You bet I'm in for Christmas swap... hope we can get a lot of those in for the run too! We might have to do some serious arm twisting!

Sure got quiet!! It stopped thundering... might still have a nice soft rain for a while which would be a good thing!

I should probably get in the shower and get ready to go. Will stop by and see that baby this morning for a quick visit then hit the road. It's about a 4 hour drive from my house to Wisconsin, not including potty stops. Might stop at Joann at the 1/2 way point just to check it out. The one I was at the other day was pretty empty. Christmas stuff was 90% off so there just might be something I can't live without!

Oh and I before I go, if you have a spare thought & prayer can you say one for my sister Annie. She has an appointment with an oncologist this afternoon. They found a 3cmx7cm mass on her upper femur. So she's having a consult to see how to proceed. It could be nothing... it could be something. At least today she will find out how they will be able to determine the next step.

I'll peek in over the weekend if possible. If not I'll see on Tuesday morning

Have a wonderful weekend every one

Chriss.... How

Good morning. It's going to be a great day today. I have the house opened up, a full cup of coffee, a quilt on my lap and your rapt attention. It's good to be me.

Yesterday I took my stepmom to get her hair done. Oh my gosh, what a difference. On the way home she kept opening the visor mirror and remarking at how pretty she looked. It was a great day for her, and dad probably still hasn't lifted his chin off of the floor. I followed them into town where they actually allowed me to buy dinner and they may or may not be back here today.

Lori, I am so sorry about Molly. Loss isn't easy especially when it's a family member. hugs to you and an extra ear fluff for Jack.

Tina, I have had food poisoning, it's awful. hope you are feeling much better and the painting is well underway.

Lyn, enjoy the zoo. I haven't been to a zoo in years, they are fun.

Maryz, with all that sewing finishing up you must be out of projects, ha ha. The confusion in taking the meds is usually it says so many times a day, these said every so many hours. I haven't had to take medication in years

Judi, glad your son is resting at home and loves everyone. Not now, but one day, this will be a family funny and his daughter will remind him of their foot race often. I think chicken pot pie sounds wonderful. In my next life I want to come back as your kid and enjoy all of your marvelous cooking. You could probably make a cookbook of your recipes and the family would treasure it.

Valerie, I'm also wondering what to have for breakfast. hope those machines update easily.

Flo, sounds like it's a bit chaotic at your house. Hope you get a day off here and there and put your feet up.

Jana, I also have messes, where on earth do they come from? hope the meds work well for you and with your body. The seem to list everything, including death, on a list of side effects. Kind of like don't use the toaster in the bathtub.

Maryq, I didn't send the rain but if no one claims to have sent it I will go ahead and take the credit. How back atcha.

I have bacon and hamburger thawing, guess what's for dinner and piddle around here until the parents decide what they are going to do. You all have a fun day,
Chriss
