Oh Lori, so sad for you, but it's a blessing for your dad. He's now with his beloved wife and what joys he is seeing , greeting her and the others in his family. Big hug to you!

Oh Lori so sorry for your loss....God Bless you and your family your Dad is making his last journey home.
Today when I got home ken was waiting for me..He was set on a new E bike...He loves to bike ride and has been limited since he got both knees replaced. So finally he is able to ride but his old bike is toast. It was a cheap bike and had so many flaws like a junk car kept needing parts. so finally I forced him to part with a few bucks and buy a new bike,, ( Well a bit more than a few)...but they will deliver it this afternoon and he will be happy...We live very very close to the MEtro Park System and there are about 15-20 miles of bike paths through beautiful parks,,,right by our house...(Across the river from us is the said beautiful parks) Im sure he will be praying for warm weather, An E bike is battery and pedal...great for old guys,,,he can pedal away and if he gets tired he can battery ride for awhile. Now if I can talk him into getting rid of the 2 old bikes in the barn...Maybe Liam might want one of them or put the parts together to make one good bike.

FYI -
Just got home from Social security appointment. Now, question for y'all - what does the 0hrase mean, bring copies of your birth certificate, marriage certificate and the DD-2-14 meanL. So I did that, brought copies of each document. N9, I had to bring the original documents. So I dashed home and grab that folder with the originals. Back and was able to finish up the whole process.. it's now 8n thee hands of the claims person. About 2 or 3 weeks and I'll hear something. So, when you need to deal with Social security, take the originals!
Now it wouldn't be too bad, except Mr G started to bring out to take with us, the whole original file of all my vital statistics file and I said no, I have all that we need already in my bag. Boy was I wrong and he won't let me forget!
so to add to this adventure, my car was getting low on fuel, the warning light flashed on and I was working against a time frame to get back before the girl helping me would be gone, so no time to get gas. So I called Aaron and he was at Sarah's, so he met me at my house and drove us back down to take care of everything. What a adventure and now I'm off to get my eye appointment done. Sarah is driving for that. Whew!

Oh, Lori, I am so sorry for you and your family. It’s so hard to say goodbye especially to our parents who just have always been there. But if there’s any comfort in knowing that he is free from this terrible dementia and reunited with your beautiful mom, I hope you can find it. Sending you an Alaskan bear hug

I'm sorry your Dad is gone. It's such a double edged sword, you are hurting because he's passed, yet he is no longer confused or in pain and reunited with your Mom. Prayers for you and family. May the good memories comfort you in the coming days.
